Original character analysis
Personality:
However, fatherhood brought a strict side to him, especially concerning his son, Scamp. Worried that his headstrong son may take to the streets, he tried to stamp out any such desires, but only ended up driving his son away instead. While he still wishes to see Scamp give up his wayward thoughts, he's learned to ease up on his son.
But perhaps his greatest personality facet is his absolutely fearless defense of those he loves and cares about. From taking on a small pack of dogs by himself to entering a strange house in search of a vicious rat, he thinks nothing of placing himself in harm's way for them.
History:
So, one stormy night, curled up in his leaky doghouse, he slipped out of his collar, and took his life into his own paws. While life on the streets was rough for a dog not yet one year old, he was a fast learner which, together with his cunning mind, stood him in good stead. As he matured, he gained a reputation as the greatest of the town's street-dogs, and, as tales of his many romantic endeavors got around, as quite a scoundrel. He remained on good terms with most every dog he crossed paths with (stuck-up purebreds notwithstanding) although he never affiliated himself with any particularly pack.
Over time he cultivated a string of families to call his own, although he never belonged to any of them, always remaining two or three steps ahead of the dog catchers who were constantly on the lookout for him. But, one day, his life changed forever when he passed by a certain back yard, and spotted a certain Cocker Spaniel. While he at first saw her as just another pretty face and well-turned paw, he left her with some words of warning on what to expect when the baby arrived in her life.
After she reentered his life while running from a trio of rough alley dogs, he gallantly raced to her defense, driving the three dogs off after a short but ultimately one-sided fight. The time they spent together afterwards strengthened their bond, although a bit of mischief on his part almost ruined things for them after Lady wound up being taken to the pound. Although Lady demanded he leave, he ultimately wound up becoming a part of her family after killing a rat which had snuck into the house, at significant risk to his very life.
Over the next couple of months, he adapted to life as a house pet, and a father, raising four pups alongside Lady. Although his strict ways turned out to be too hard for Scamp to deal with, Tramp was quick to set out to find his son, ultimately reforging the bond between them after a brief but harsh falling out. Life returned to normal until, shortly after that, he awoke one morning to find himself in a strange new place.
Ambitions: While his overarching desire is to return to his family, he is nonetheless eager to explore this new world while he tries to make certain none of them have wound up here as well.
Strengths & abilities: Due to having a myriad of breeds in his ancestry, the Tramp inherited many of their best traits. He's stronger than he looks, extremely agile, fast, and very cunning. His skills in a fight allowed him to fight three dogs and send them running without suffering a scratch, and he was more than a match for the vicious rat that had infiltrated the house. He's also cunning enough to manage many latches, allowing him access to otherwise inaccessible areas.
Flaws: For all his physical prowess, when fighting for a loved one, or someone he cares for, he will fight with reckless disregard for his own safety. And, as often as not, his sense of mischief can land him in trouble, as can his roguish nature.
Likes: He enjoys a good romp about as much as he does lazing about, and he still enjoys engaging in a bit of mischief if he feels he can get away with it. He also takes pleasure in messing with people who take themselves too seriously. But his greatest joy comes from spending time with Lady.
Dislikes: Getting into arguments, especially with his son. Although he accepts them as part of life as a pet, he isn't particularly fond of rules. He's also not overly fond of water, although he doesn't try to escape bath time.
Fears: Losing any of his family
