Elsa woke early, as usual. What was unusual about today was that it was Anna’s birthday. And Elsa had been planning for weeks. Not to mention how carefully she had been taking care of herself... Wouldn’t want to catch another cold on the big day.
Knowing it was far too early for Anna to be awake, Elsa slipped out of their hotel room with Oliver, quickly making her way to Algernon’s room down the hall. Gently rapping on the door, Elsa gave Algernon a grin when he opened the door. ”You ready?” she asked.
With Algernon’s affirmation, Elsa scampered off towards Fantasmic. She knew the line would end there, so that’s where she decided to start. Then again...
Elsa paused outside. Algernon had agreed that he would ask Anna to watch the Avengers movie, to pass the morning away. Elsa’s planning had prepped her for today, and she knew she would have everything set up by midday. Outside of the hotel, Elsa crafted a tent and made a special dress for Anna to put on. Elsa would be changing her own clothes later. This way, just in case she wasn’t quite back in time, she would have a few extra minutes while Anna changed clothes.
Now, Elsa and Oliver took a bus to Fantasmic. After speaking with Becky there, Elsa started backtracking on foot. Becky was putting up the final touches, and was barking orders at cast members before Elsa left. She fed a stream of magic along behind her, stopping at various, pre-chosen locations, where she tied her stream of magic into a bow.
”Do you think we’ll make it back in time?” she asked Oliver.
”I think so! She’s gonna be so surprised, isn’t she, Elsa?”
Ever since the kitten had moved in with them, he spent much of his time with one sister or the other. Sometimes, he would go off on his own, but not very often. And on those days, Elsa usually conjured a snow dog to accompany him. Nodding at the kitten, Elsa turned a corner to see the back of the tent. ”Just in time,” she murmured, realizing the sun was now directly above her. She waved a hand over her gown and combed her braid out with her fingers. She added some sparkle to Oliver’s collar, making him sneeze. Tying the final bow, admiring her work, eyeing the magical thread as it wound out of sight. Now all she had to do was wait for Anna and Algernon to come outside.
