Maui’s arrival a few days ago hadn’t seemed to have an impact on this world. Each day brought a few more mortals who recognized him. He spent an entire day just signing autographs for people. Mini-Maui led the crowd of tattoo people in a silent chant.
One girl whispered to him that she loved him and Moana, even if Elsa would always be her favorite. Maui blinked a little in confusion. He had no idea who Elsa was, nor how this girl knew about Moana. Maybe Moana saving the world had made her famous. “Who’s Elsa?” Maui asked absently, putting the finishing touches on the fishhook in his autograph.
The girl’s face fell a little. She started jabbering, mentioning that somehow this Elsa could control ice and snow. Maui also caught the name Anna. But Elsa held his attention. Was she a demigod as well? No mortals had powers, after all. Well, Moana had that thing with the ocean, but that wasn’t really Moana controlling the ocean, it was more the ocean working with Moana. Maui squatted next to the girl. “Where is she? I need to talk to her.” She had to be a demigod. She just wasn’t as well-known as he was, obviously.
The girl glanced at her mother. “Elsa spends a lot of time in Epcot, in the Norway showcase.”
“Epcot, Norway showcase,” Maui repeated. He transformed into a hawk and took off. It was only after he had soared off that he realized he had no idea what Elsa looked like. And the girl and her mother were already lost in the crowd of mortals. He didn’t really know where Epcot was, either. Maui sighed.
After numerous transformations, a dozen autographs, and an old lady shrieking about witchcraft, Maui found himself at Epcot, just outside the Norway pavilion. It was time to find out what Elsa looked like, and then he would take to the skies again to find her. Maui rubbed his arm where the old lady had hit him with her bag. “Must’ve had a few rocks in there,” he muttered.
