{Seemed the best way to get her to the parks and I guess she'll find that seem less nexus thing that everyone uses and doesn't even notice }
Moana was beyond ecstatic! Point one: being on the ocean and in perfect harmony now between her love of her people and love of the ocean. Point two: she was currently entrusted to steer the massive boat her people were using to find more islands as Maui found good spots for them.
Ok, sure, Wayfinding in these sorts of canoes was more keeping on track than giant motions, though Moana longed to learn how to safely crest one around and with a wave, half out of the water and then safely land back, such as she'd seen her ancestors do!
But, time for all that!
She glanced back, watching as her father moved about and wondering if he wanted to join her and indulge his own love of the sea. He was happy to let his daughter finally have her joy though and Moana happy to share it with him now that the fear was gone.
One of the others stepped forward, pointing, and Moana turned to look. Dark clouds, perhaps not all out Storm coulds, but still...
Of course Moana had dealt with storms before. The newest chief of her people, for all intents and purposes, gripped the rudder pole and worked back through all she'd learned on her journey and about Wayfinding and to come to a decision on what to do...
Watching the sea and its currents, she also glanced to the sky, looking for Maui in his hawk shape. She didn't see him. Her gaze moved forward again, to the sea, and it's movements same time as a bolt of lighting shot out of one of the clouds, seemingly directly on top of where the boat was, rain following soon after. Moana hadn't thought they were that close.
Come on, you're a Master Wayfinder, like Maui said! You know what to do...
Moana moved the rudder, trying to steer them clear and around the worst of the clouds, she heard her father and mother's voices as they rushed up to help.
Oh please let the other boats be ok...
Another giant crash of lighting and Moana felt the boat tipping! N-no! Also...why and how...she didn't think waves that large had been produced just yet.
There was nothing for it of course, she braced for impact and...it was another of those odd moments where she couldn't count everything that happen and occured to bring her to land. The ocean being a large help no doubt...or...she wouldn't know.
As she came to, Moana sat up and wiped dirt from her face, or she thought it was dirt, it was wet still and...glancing down, she saw the oddest white...precipitation? Yes, she remembered now Gramma Tala once saying it was possible and what happened when rain hit very cold wind.
Never on Mortunui, though!
Or any of the islands she was familiar with. Even the new ones they found, she somehow knew, shouldn't be that far out. Standing, Moana saw plenty of ships about, but also of a varying kind to the simple canoes her people used and...wait, why did she have her small one with her? She'd been on the larger one her people were using at the time.
Biting her lip, totally confused, Moana continued to glance about until she felt a nudge down by her feet. Make that two. "Pua! Heihei!", she scooped up her animalcomp- friends (companions made Maui's point right) up. "Oh, I'm glad you're both alright, but...where is everybody else? And...where...are we?".
Putting the pig and chicken down, Moana walked closer to the edge of the shore she'd nudged against and the sea, glancing at it confused. "Um...", she began, tentatively, trying to remain calm and dignified, "Not to complain but...where are we? This is not a new island I don't think! Why...why would you do that?!", calm got lost as she went on.
She went, again, to kick at the ocean, annoyed, and this time was able to as it didn't react quite so quickly. Suddenly switching moods and now afraid she had lost something so vital and important to her, though she'd been working with it unknown for so many years, Moana bent on the shore, "Oh, I'm sorry, please doesn't be offended and go away...it's not your fault I'm sure...".
A bit behind her, still on the shore, Pua tilted his head, watching, and Heihei pecked the ground.
A small sort of blip and blurb of the water was reaction enough and soon Moana stood, sighing. Ok, so she had that, and also Pua and Heihei. She glanced about again, but where were they?
"We're ok guys, we're ok...", she didn't really believe her own words.
