Who am I? Just a conscience!
Introduce yourself
Hey, howdy, hey! The name's Patrick, and I wished upon a star from Sephasaur. My other imaginary friends include No one. Bob Parr and I are so very eager to join the Worlds of Disney circle of life!
Character basics
Character name: Robert "Bob" Parr AKA Mr. Incredible
Age: 40
Species: Super human
Birthplace: Metroville, California
Movie: The Incredibles
Custom title: Mr. Incredible
Why'd you pick this character?Because, beneath all of that spandex and behind the super strength, Bob is basically one of us. A husband, a father, a human being, just trying to make the world a better place.
Character appearance (try to get at least 2 or 3 sentences for each section)
Hair description: Bob has short blonde hair, rather unkempt most of the time. I would say his haircut is nothing extravagant, rather the 'do of an everyman.
Facial description/mood/expressions: As he aged, Bob's once-chiseled jawbone has become rather round. One could say that he 'let himself go.' Being middle aged and married, however, he has very few people to impress outside of his beloved wife who seems to love him despite his fairly chubby features.
Clothing style: When geared up, Bob wears a strikingly similar outfit as the super suits that the rest of the family wear. When not in his supersuit, Bob wears nothing special. Having to blend in as a normal person means he must almost look the part.
Body build: As mentioned previously, Mr. Incredible is no Mr. Universe. At least, not anymore. However, after getting back into crime fighting, he did work out and gained a slightly more 'superhero-y' figure as he once had. Still, when one has super strength already, who needs abs?
Any unique traits (optional): Super human strength, agility, durability. Nearly bullet proof and capable of easily lifting a semi-truck. I would say those traits are unique.
Original character analysis (In your own words and please be thorough)
Personality:
Bob is, for lack of a better word, heroic. He is a classic hero. He's not really that complex of a dude. He is kind, brave, friendly, and always willing to help. However, when put in a situation where he cannot help others, Mr. Incredible is miserable. He feels that he clearly has a gift and that gift is the power to help people like very few others can. He is not a greedy person by any means, but acquiring enough money to support his family is important to him. Bob could also possess what one would refer to as a one track mind, as he has been known to simply ignore his surroundings when something seemingly more important has his focus. Before marrying Helen, Bob said many times that he preferred to work alone. This preference has obviously changed since his young years as a hero, as he known fights alongside his family and his friend Frozone. Bob is very proud of the work he's done for his city, for planet earth, really.
History:
Mr. Incredible was one of many known superheroes. He used his mighty strength to save the lives of numerous citizens and take down just as many evil doers. He was famous among the supers as one of the most powerful of his time, fighting alongside his fellow heroes and even managing to marry one of them, Elastigirl. However, things took a turn for the worse when Mr. Incredible faced a series of lawsuits coming from some of the people he had saved, triggering even more citizens of Earth to do the same for their respective local heroes and thus, the Golden Age of superheroes was put to an end when the government intervened, placing all superhumans into a witness protection-like programs, encouraging them to remain unnoticed and live lives like that of normal people. This did not suit Bob Parr. He was not the type of person to settle into a normal, superpowerless life.
Though, he loved his wife and their three children, 15 years later, Bob found himself mostly miserable, selling insurance for a greedy company. Bob figured the only way he could continue to help people in his position would be to discreetly help customers find loopholes in the company's system. This angered his boss and eventually led to Bob's termination. During this time, on the side, Bob and his old friend Frozone would lead their wives to believe they were going bowling as they listened to police scanners and deliver vigilante justice to criminals and save people from certain harm in an attempt to relive their former days of glory.
After a mysterious request to jump back into action, Mr. Incredible had returned. Having an old friend make him a brand new suit, Bob couldn't have been happier. The only downside was that the mission was a secret and he was forced to withhold the truth from his family. He should've known Helen was going to find out eventually. However, by the time his wife knew of his location, his new 'mission' ended up becoming an attempt on his life. As he was led to believe that his entire family had been killed and that he was next in line, Mr. Incredible had given up hope. Little did he know, his wife and children were alive and well and there to save the day.
Bob now happily practices heroism alongside his family of superheroes. They call themselves The Incredibles.
Ambitions:
To do anything and everything to use his powers for good, to save the world, to see his children grow up, and to teach them that they, despite their unusual abilities, are capable of anything. To be the best husband he can be. And also, did I mention be a hero?
Strengths & abilities:
Super strength. Durability.
Flaws:
Bob would be willing to lie (hide the truth) from his family when doing something (although heroic and for the good of mankind) they don't agree with. This is a result of his stubbornness to solve problems on his own. Though he is usually kind, he has also been known to have a bit of an angry streak when pushed too far.
Likes:
Helen (In and out of spandex ;]), his children, his friends, fighting bad guys. Saving people from certain harm. Extremely flexible women.
Dislikes:
Selling insurance. Super villains, obviously. Seeing his family life in jeopardy.
Fears:
Losing his loved ones. Not being there for them. Being unable to use his special abilities to their fullest potential.
Anything to add?:
2+2=4
RP SAMPLE:
The last thing Bob remembered was his big bulky frame tangled with the slender form of his wife. A usual night. Nothing out of the ordinary...well, aside from the fact that the couple were superheroes. He remembered falling asleep next to her as he anticipated the sweet scent of bacon and eggs that he would most likely wake up to the next morning. Except, when he did fade into consciousness, he didn't smell Helen's breakfast. Nor did he feel very comfortable. Before he even opened his eyes, his thick arms would reach out dramatically, feeling his dark surroundings for the woman that had been next to him, for the sheets of their bed. None of it was there. Opening his eyes, he could see the handful of healthy green grass that he had yanked from the ground upon which he was now sprawled out on.
"What on God's beautiful green earth-?!" The muscled man sprang up into a sitting position, his eyes blinded by the bright sun that beat down. It was hot and humid and he was in his pajamas. Beads of sweat trickled down his wrinkled forehead. "What is this? Florida? DASH!" He just knew that his super speedy son had played a prank on him, dragging him across the country while he was in one of his deep sleeps just for the laughs. "I know you're around here, you brat!" Bob jumped to his feet, but his son was nowhere to be found. Surely, the boy would've shown himself by now. He loved to deliver the punchline.
Okay, now he was confused. There were people. And rides. And restaurants. Was this a theme park? Mr. Incredible climbed to his feet and began brushing the dirt from his light baby blue PJs. Why didn't he go to sleep in normal clothes? Just for one night?
