Though Bob was fully clothed, he felt utterly naked without access to his most trusted supersuit. Though his body might as well have been bullet proof, the attire that Edna Mode had so lovingly crafted specifically for it only made him even more indestructible. Not only that, but the tiny mask that so perfectly rested upon the bridge of his nose kept his real identity a secret. Any idiot knew that a secret identity was any hero's most valuable asset. And, for whatever reason, he had been inexplicably transported to a theme park. It sounded like a fifth grader's dream come true. But, as great of a treat as that may have sounded, there was something fishy about it, something sinister must have been at play. Mr. Incredible was no amateur. He'd been burned by his enemies more times than he cared to even try to remember, but this phenomenon was a totally different type of manipulation. It was perhaps just experience that led him to believe that he was being attacked when weird things happened. He knew the world never stayed saved.
Bob wracked his brain in an attempt to untwist the mystery of who or what may have been behind his current situation. Who hated him enough to rip him from his own reality and throw him into what seemed like the happiest place in the world? He came up short. But what he did know was that, whatever was going on, he wasn't about to go it alone. He knew, deep down in his heart, that his family members were going through the same thing. At least, he hoped. He hoped hard too. His wife, especially, had been right by his side when he was taken from his home. Surely, she hadn't been exempt. Though, stranger things had happened.
Regardless, he was going to look for her, for someone, anyone that he knew. The hulking man took his first moment to breathe and truly take in his surroundings. What would his spouse have done in this situation? He felt he knew her better than he knew anyone and it was time to use that knowledge, all 15 of those years with her, to make his next move match hers.
The hero's bright blue orbs shot toward the buildings nearest to him. The park was massive, perhaps even bigger than he could currently tell, but he had to start somewhere. If he was going to find her, he was going to have to look. The towering strong man took off toward a building that seemed to stand on top of a large pile of rocks.
"Silver Creek Falls, eh?" Bob muttered to himself, reading aloud a sign that stood out in front of the hotel's premises.. "Sounds fancy." He raised his bushy blond eyebrows and took off in a run toward the building's entrance. There was no real reason to suspect Helen would have visited the particular place, but it would be his first stop in a long chain of locations if need be. As Mr. Incredible made his way into the building, he found himself surrounded by an especially ornate room. It was rather large and filled with tables and chairs, decorations that were very obviously centered upon a wilderness theme. There were representations of wild animals and totem poles and it all seemed vaguely African-inspired. Maybe Australian. It didn't matter to Bob. What mattered was waiting in that long line to speak to someone that worked there. The impatient bulk waited his turn, tapping his foot as every single vacationer took their sweet time getting room keys.
"Alllllright." Bob sighed, dropping both of his meaty hands upon the counter. He didn't mean to seem impolite, but it most likely came off as such, as the petite girl behind the counter greeted him with a bit of an awkward smile. "I....am looking for someone." Bob began breathlessly. He may have been a bit out stamina due to running and such. "I am looking for my wife. I'm not sure if she's even here and I need to find her and maybe even our kids and this is the first place I've been and I'm not sure if you can even help me, why am I even here?" Bob didn't even let the woman greet him properly. He could see that she was about to speak before he did, but he couldn't be bothered to listen to a welcome speech. The worried father, concerned husband, rambled on without taking a breath. He knew he looked like a lunatic, but honestly? It probably wasn't anything this young woman hadn't seen before. "I'm sorry." He held up his palm, closing his hand as he did, unsure why he had even held up his hand in the first place. "Maybe I should start by describing my wife and you can tell me if you've seen her, Oh, there are so many people. I'm sure you see a thousand faces a day." There he went again, speaking so quickly and erratically, that the desk clerk probably couldn't have replied if she'd tried. "Her name is Helen. She is beautiful and-...I suppose that's subjective." He corrected himself. There was one thing Bob feared and that was losing his family. It definitely showed. He knew he had to be more descriptive. However, in his odd panic, he was almost beginning to forget what she looked like. "She has uh, red hair. Some would say light brown, I don't know. I've always said women see colors differently than men do, especially when it comes to hair colors, Heh. Despite what she thinks, she's not fat, southern accent. Very sweet. Have you seen anyone like that?"
The girl at the desk seemed amused at his near incoherent ramblings. She obviously faced this sort of situation often and Bob could only admire her casual manner of handling it. "You're one of them." Was all she replied with. Bob's eyes widened. No! He'd been found out. He waved his arms in front of him, signalling and big 'NO!' How could she have known about his secret identity? He hadn't even told her that Helen was capable of any special abilities and he had done absolutely nothing to showcase his own strength. He'd been so careful. "No, no, no, no, no, no, no!" He leaned in closely, whispering, but not as quietly as he had intended. "I am NOT a superhuman. I don't know what you're talking about!" He stammered, taking peeks at his left and right, hoping that none of the people in line had heard the clerk.
"No, I didn't mean-"
"Have you seen my wife or not?! Her name is Helen Parr! Is there anyone who might've checked in under that name?" He didn't know if Helen would have even used her own real name in such a situation, but it was well worth a shot. "What about Dash- Dashiell? Jack-Jack?! Violet?!"
