Basil cast a jaundiced eye at his pet, watching Toby cavort to the boy king's commands. Now why couldn't he perform such tricks for his own master? Who, after all, fed him, bathed him, made certain he had a warm place to sleep? Really...
"Good dog, Toby," remarked Basil, though without much enthusiasm.
"Are you all right, Sire?" Basil had noticed the blank expression on the King's face. "Are you ill? There is a medical station just round the corner."
"What is this, please? It's...wonderful!"
"Ah. That is called 'ice cream,' my liege. A frozen delicacy unknown in your era." Basil understood the king's reaction all too well; he was fond of ice cream himself. "I daresay you will find a good many new things to experience here."
"I suppose that will be enough fencing for today. What else may I help Your Majesty with? Lessons in mathematics or history? Or a more practical tour of the land, perhaps?"
"Ice cream," repeated Wart, devouring the rest of the new food item and licking the excess from his hands (though he did not forget to give some bits to Toby). He had nothing like this back at the castle. It seemed there were some definite advantages to being trapped in this place.
I suppose that will be enough fencing for today
"Yes, sir," answered the boy king, glad enough to be done with lessons, even though swordplay was the most fun of all the lessons he was forced to take. But Mr. Basil's next comment put a pang of fear into Wart's gut.
What else may I help Your Majesty with? Lessons in mathematics or history?
He thought he'd at least gotten away from those endless lessons for a while.
"I...don't think so, sir. I'm going back to the inn to...um, rest." Not the truth, but anything to get out of more lessons! "Thank you very much for the...for everything."
And Wart beat it out of there as quickly as he could, before the mouse could say another word.
Panchito: It's nothing like I expected, but I'm still anticipating good things.

Basil: All I know about it is what I read. I won't be able to visit until 2020 (in Florida).
Jun 6, 2019 19:16:55 GMT -5
Nick Wilde: Aye. I am hoping to visit sometime t his year. Or early next year. I really, really, really, want to go there.

Nick Wilde: But so far from what I read, it is good. The most immersive Disney ever did. Cast members actually having a backstory and name in the setting, characters constantly interacting with the guests in-character...
Jun 8, 2019 8:49:33 GMT -5
Nick Wilde: Guests actually being encouraged to make their own story, and play a part in the land..
Jun 8, 2019 8:50:01 GMT -5
Nick Wilde: And also has an app to allow guests to actually do things more.
Jun 8, 2019 8:54:23 GMT -5
Nick Wilde: Of course, I imagine our characters checking it out in it's full glory.
Jun 8, 2019 8:58:20 GMT -5
Judy Hopps: An app...Disney didn't bother to make their app to work on my phone.
