Shere Khan groaned. He knew that testing the alloy could lead to complications, but he didn't expect anything like this. An unexpected power surge. The machine powering the alloy being powered down. A tear being open, created not by the alloy, but by some unforeseen force. And then, a flash of light.
The tiger opened his eyes, and found himself laying on the ground. The pavement was red in color, and right away, he could feel the heat coming from it. But it wasn't just the ground that produced heat. No, he felt it from the air around him, and the sun above him. He was indeed outside, and he was someplace tropical, no doubt. And when he got to his knees, and looked up, he quickly realized that he wasn't in Usland, or in his own world.
All around him were...peculiar creatures. They looked like apes, but they weren't as lanky as Louie was. They walked up-right, their hands were smaller to match their arms. And they didn't have any fur, except on their heads and sometimes faces. They wore clothing, much like he did, but the clothing was more suited for the warm weather. And right away, he saw that he was surrounded by them..and staring at them.
Of course, his entrance would of caused a commotion. But how he got here? That was a question for later. The bengal tiger stood up and brushed off some of the dirt and dust that may of been on his suit. Soon after, he adjusted his tie. Despite the weather being cruel to him, because of the suit and the fur he had, he still kept his composure.
'Is that...Shere Khan?'
'I thought he walked on all fours...'
'What's with the suit?'
He heard people talking about them. Apparently some of them knew his name; a question for later. He cleared his throat, and soon spoke up, much to everyone's surprise. "I apologize for my sudden appearance. Now, if I may ask, can anyone tell me where I am?"
