"Ow!" Doctor Delbert Doppler exclaimed as his face quickly met the side of something. He could of sworn that he had the door open when he was walking out of his observatory. Though one blink later, he found himself colliding into a stone wall. He was able to catch his footing, preventing him from falling over, but the collision still disoriented him. The good doctor rubbed his canine-like nose. Nothing broken, that was good. He didn't want to get some injury due to something as stupid as walking into a wall... Amelia probably was giggling at him by now.
But, he didn't hear her. In fact, the ambiance was more noisy. Less like his observatory, and more like he was outside on the streets of Crescentia. He could even feel a warm breeze blowing past him, and the rustling of trees. And the wall he bumped into, wasn't even his own. "What the..?" He exclaimed. The doctor traced the outline of the structure, and found that it was some wall that belong to some kind of ruin. The stone was unlike any he saw, yet it had a man-made feel to it. Perhaps, stronger than stone.
This made Delbert look around. Indeed, he was standing in the middle of some ruins, with people walking around! And they were all human, with no alien species mixed in. Their clothing was outlandish, as they were all wearing different types of shirts that looked like they were made out of a different fiber than his own. Most of them were wearing short sleeved shirts, which, made Delbert realize that it was actually warm. And some of them had small little dragon-like creatures on their shoulders, who turned their heads and wiggled their wings. These people walked about, going into the buildings that were still intact, getting in line for something...
And then, Delbert's gaze went up. "By word....!" He took a step back. Above him, was large floating rocks that were held together by roots. No...they weren't rocks. They were mountains! Flying mountains that were kept from going into the atmosphere by nature itself! Some water from one of them, and into a pool of water. A large mountain loomed behind them, with strange, broken circles looming in the peaks. It was truly a remarkable sight! Though Delbert's amazement shifted into confusion. How did he even get here? And most importantly, where was his wife, Amelia?
"Alright Delbert, calm down." He said to himself, "You've been in worse situations than this. Running away from pirates, escaping an exploding planet... But all those times you had people who helped you out and were there to support you..." He suddenly threw his arms up as his frustration and worry caught up to him, "Oh come on! This is impossible! How did I went from my study to this...unknown planet?! Amelia? Please come out to tell me that you some how found a teleportation device, and used it so we can go to a tropical planet for a nice vacation. Please?!"
