Introduce yourself.
Age: Tron appears to be in his early thirties, although some slight aging (a few years at the very most) occurs between the defeat of MCP and CLU's betrayal.

Why: I've had more than one person tell me that Tron was a really weird choice for me, mainly because I'm more of a villain person and he's way on the other end of the "hero/villain" spectrum. However, I like Tron a lot, because underneath all of that Gary Stu-ness, he actually makes for an interesting character (though whether anyone else sees it or not, I don't know). Sure, he's really strong and really talented, but he's also got a really big heart, and this can sometimes lead him in the wrong direction. I think I'll like the challenge of... not making him a total Stu. xD

Character appearance (try to get at least 2 or 3 sentences for each section)
Facial description/mood expressions: Tron's mood mainly depends on his actions, instead of the other way around. When he's put under the pressure of responsibility, he becomes very serious and stoic, very focused on the task at hand. However, this doesn't mean he won't take a few moments to relax every once in a while. When all is peaceful (even for a moment), or when he's in the presence of his loved ones, Tron can be pretty casual and friendly, becoming more of the "average Joe" than anything else. He often switches back and forth between these moods, depending on the situation.
Clothing style:
When Tron was first seen in the ENCOM system, his uniform almost perfectly matched that of everyone who was not in the MCP's army. It was a light gray full-body suit with large, glowing light-blue "circuits" that spread like veins across the chest, arms and legs. He also wore a helmet that matched this attire, one that particularly concealed his very short hair. On Tron's back, his Identity Disc is well secured, ever ready for when he would need an impromptu weapon (or two). This entire costume, for some reason, made what one could see of Tron's skin (which was only his face) appear to take on a bluish tone. Whether that was the attire, or simply from being in the Grid was never confirmed. Most other Programs of his type would almost the exact same ensemble, save for one subtle yet notable feature that sets Tron apart: on his upper chest, there is a sequence of four blue squares (of the same color as his "circuits"); three of them spread horizontally on the top, and then one placed in the center slightly below, forming a "T"-shape. This, along with his exceptional combat abilities, is Tron's most distinctive trait, and can be easily spotted even when he is Rinzler.
When Kevin Flynn had updated everything, even the Programs' attire had changed. Instead of light gray, Tron's attire was black, and with blue circuits (though he did not have as many as before, due to Flynn's design). Now that conditions had changed due to Flynn's "tampering", wearing a helmet was no longer necessary, so they had become obscured except for combat. Tron, too, set his aside, and in this state, his hair was fully visible, as was his full face, and his skin was relatively human-looking. Though the primary design of his attire changed dramatically, Tron's "T" still remained across his chest in the same place.
When Clu had repurposed Tron to become Rinzler, his blue circuits had become a fiery orange color, and though most of his uniform remained the same, Tron was commanded to obscure his face with a helmet, should Flynn or one of his allies find him and attempt to "save" him. This had worked until Tron/Rinzler made his last sacrifice to save the Flynns, his circuitry briefly going to its normal bluish-white before going out completely as he was sinking out of view.
Body build: Though he is an exact copy of his User, Tron has a slightly more athletic build than Alan, tall and slender with just enough muscle to be productive but not too distracting. One can obviously tell he has been training for a long time.

Original character analysis. (Everything must be in your own words! Please be thorough.)
Tron (conceptually short for “Electronic Man”) was a name that was on the lips of many, both on the Grid and in Flynn's Arcade. And for good reason, as well. Tron, a security Program, is most known for his impressive combat skills, first seen as able to fight four opponents in Disc Wars at a time. He had earned respect from anyone who encountered him and witnessed his talents, even from Commander Sark, and nearly everyone saw him as a formidable opponent, at the very least. However, Tron never takes advantage of this. He simply treats his actions as his duty, being very modest, even when he is recognized across the Grid as a hero and therefore had a city named after him (and, although he is not aware of this, his fame in the world of the Users). He is very humble and down to earth, and, unlike Clu, never views himself as superior. When asked about his fame, he will simply become bashful and embarrassed, although chuckling mildly the whole way. As stated before, Tron does not purposely seek fame, but sees it as his personal duty to maintain the Grid. However, Tron sometimes takes his abilities for granted, often putting himself in very dangerous situations and only narrowly escaping from them alive. Though he is smart enough to learn his lesson the first time, he will also try to find ways to accomplish the same task without the same consequences (inevitably leading to the same consequences as before). Because of this, Tron could also be considered a bit reckless, though it is not as obvious in his cool and collected personality as it is in others.
As Tron is not completely superior, he is very obedient and loyal to those he does consider his superiors, namely Alan One and Flynn. However, especially in Flynn's case, his superiors can also be viewed as his friends, for whom he would do absolutely anything. To anyone he views as his friend and ally, Tron is very easily trusting, and therefore, to a certain extent, he is gullible. Once a certain trust is established with him, Tron is very loyal and will even give his own life to save his friends. He can also be very loving and sympathetic, especially to Flynn and Yori. With the latter, he can also be very passionate, never hesitating to express his love for her. No matter what, he always has room in his heart for his friends, and will sometimes even let this get in the way of his combat. When he is with his friends, Tron can be very casual, opposite of how he is in combat and when he is faced with responsibility. He can smile, laugh, and celebrate with his companions, but he also knows that he cannot afford to be distracted for long, especially when there’s a huge conflict that needs to be solved. When he is faced with responsibility, however, Tron can be very uptight, even to the extent of being cold and distant. He also uses this opportunity to become lost in thought at times, sometimes with strategizing and sometimes with thinking about how his loved ones are. However, in any chance he gets, Tron is a man (Program?) of action, letting almost nothing stand in his way. It is almost as if Tron is two different people, the more tolerable version of him being put off in favor of the incoming combat opportunity. Though Tron is very intelligent, he is also very combat-oriented; though he knows how to operate his Light Cycle and his Identity Disc, he has trouble with other pieces of machinery, and therefore relies on Yori or someone similar for these tasks. However, what he lacks in technological ability, he makes up for in quick wit and high spirit, trying his best to get the job done even when it is out of his reach.
Though Tron in himself is very intelligent, there is also knowledge that he doesn't have, and therefore can be very inquisitive sometimes. Though he may ask several questions about things that pique his interest, he also respects the other person and his limits, often holding back questions until more appropriate times (although they are sometimes spur-of-the-moment). He can be very persuasive, especially when he is trying to make a point, and almost never backs down from anything. This can, more often than not, get him into trouble, and one time he may not find a way out of it.
History:
((NOTE: For WoD, I'm hopping on the "the sequel never happened" bandwagon when I say that he'll still be in the TRON-era, but past movie, if that makes sense.))
“Well, it's called Tron. It's a security program itself, actually. It monitors all contacts between our system and other systems. It finds anything going on that's not scheduled, it shuts it down.”
As a Program, Tron couldn’t technically be “born”. Instead, he was created by Alan Bradley, and could be considered Alan’s greatest Program. Tron was intended to be a security Program, monitoring the system for anything harmful or foreign and promptly eliminating it as soon as possible; Tron was even intended to monitor the actions of the MCP, which did not set well for the latter. In the time between when Tron had first been conceived and the year he had met Kevin Flynn, he had met and acquainted himself with several other Programs, including the one in whom he had found a particular interest, Yori. Alan was unaware that Tron had been spending a lot of his time with Yori, just as Alan himself had been spending quite a bit of time with Yori’s User, Lora. However, whether this is a coincidence or not is up to interpretation. After a few years of development, Tron had almost been perfected in 1983 when suddenly, contact with “Alan One” had been cut off due to the MCP suddenly gaining control. Tron had then found himself led away with the other captured Programs, faced with a decision: either renounce his beliefs in the Users, or prepare for his imminent doom in the Games. Despite all that he had been through, Tron still had faith in Alan One, mainly because they had a very strong bond, strong for even one between User and Program. From the very beginning, Tron had sworn to stay loyal to Alan One, because he felt Alan One deserved his loyalty and trust, and that Alan had good intentions. Therefore, Tron had refused to renounce his beliefs, and was therefore doomed to the Games.
However, Tron did not perish right away, contrary to what Commander Sark had first thought. Tron showed amazing progress in his training, gradually becoming one of the best warriors on the Grid. Word of Tron’s abilities spread to the other Programs, and soon to Commander Sark himself. Tron had earned (reluctant, in Sark’s case, though nonetheless he was still viewed as a slave) respect from his peers, and was even gossiped about in private on certain occasions. However, Tron either was oblivious to this, or he did not mind. The time he did not spend training or fighting, Tron spent in his small cell, lost in thought and possible plotting. The Program in the cell adjacent to him, Ram, certainly made time pass, as they had occasionally made small talk. However, Ram would notice that Tron never held conversation long, especially as the infamous combatant’s mind wandered; often thinking about battle strategies, how to escape from the Game Grid, or even sometimes Alan, and how he was faring.
Tron progressed in training and in combat; when he was first seen by Kevin Flynn, Tron was fighting four opponents at once in Disc Wars, defeating every single one of them with skill and grace. It was enough to pique Flynn’s interest, which Ram had relayed to Tron while Flynn was in combat himself. Tron, ever lost in thought and in concentration, had dryly predicted that he would never have a chance to meet the “new guy”, as Flynn would certainly perish in his battle. However, when Tron was proven wrong and Flynn returned, he suddenly began to pay more attention to Flynn as they had begun to converse. The first thing that Tron found odd about Flynn was that he had first called Tron, “Alan”. Inquisitive Tron wanted to know how Flynn knew the name of his user, before Flynn had explained: his “user” was a friend of Tron’s user, and Flynn’s “user” wanted him to take out the MCP, as did Alan One. It was after this conversation that Tron finally started to see how Flynn was “different,” as Ram had described him.
It would just so happen that the three would be paired together for the Light Cycle races, and Tron had immediately stepped up to the plate as leader of the group, giving commands to the other two and strategically making plans in his head for how to get out of the Game Grid alive. Suddenly, he had been alerted that Flynn had caused one of the opponent Cycles to crash into the wall, making a huge hole that would lead them to escape. Tron obliged, admiring Flynn for his clever idea but wondering how Flynn had known to do that.
Soon, the Light Cycles were being pursued by tanks from the MCP's guards, and they were advancing fast. The group, including Tron, attempted to outrun the pursuing tanks, but ultimately Tron was the only one who had escaped, because Flynn and Ram were brought down by a well-aimed shot from the front tank. Upset, Tron had no choice but to continue on, his plan to defeat the MCP involving first rescuing his girlfriend, Yori, and consulting the Tower Guardian, Dumont. Finally, with permission from Dumont, Tron was able to use the I/O Tower to communicate with Alan One, giving his User his Identity Disc so that it could be filled with data that, when in contact with the MCP, would destroy it. After narrowly escaping a large group of incoming guards, Tron stole a Solar Sailer and took Yori with him, planning to confront the MCP itself with Yori’s assistance. There, though not in the way that he had expected, they had reunited with Flynn, who admitted to the pair that he was a User. This fascinated Tron greatly, for he had never met an actual User, and he asked Flynn how his plans were carried out. Flynn’s answer was surprising; he had always improvised his actions, even when he looked like he knew what he was doing.
Flynn had further proved that he was a User when he had saved the Solar Sailer from Sark’s Recognizers, diverting the path to a different, adjacent beam and letting the power surge destroy the Recognizers behind them. Tron was amazed and fascinated at Flynn’s abilities, wanting to know more about his strange companion when the path of the Solar Sailer had been diverted once again, this time toward Sark’s ship. Thankfully, Tron had leaped off the ship before it had crashed, causing Yori and Flynn to believe that he was dead. However, Tron had narrowly escaped, instead perching on the side of Sark’s ship, watching as a large group of programs - including Dumont - were being led to an escape pod to be absorbed into the MCP so that it could become stronger and gain more information. Tron “hitchhiked” on the escape pod, traveling with them to the mesa so that he could use the data gained from Alan One to ultimately destroy the MCP. As soon as the MCP sensed that Tron was present and was a threat to him, it had sent Sark to destroy him, and the two of them engaged in heavy disc combat until one of Tron’s attacks had so much force that it snapped Sark’s Identity Disc in half and caused Tron’s Disc to create a large gash in Sark’s head, causing the latter to begin to de-rez. Realizing Sark was in trouble, the MCP transmitted all of its functions to Sark, causing the Program to revive, grow into a massive giant, and become stronger both in his attacks and in his defense against Tron’s attacks. When Tron realized that Sark was now immune to his Disc attacks, he instead diverted his attention to attacking the MCP, but shields surrounded its core and constantly reflected the Program warrior’s attacks.
Things looked hopeless for Tron, until Flynn had suddenly jumped into the MCP’s beam, thus distracting it long enough for Tron to throw his Disc into the core, severing the MCP’s weak spot and thus derezzing it. The MCP was then destroyed, and peace was beginning to return as Programs were beginning to communicate to their Users once again.
After Flynn had returned to the real world, Tron had been perfected and copied over to Flynn’s personal system. This had separated him from Yori, but at this point, Tron’s priorities had shifted from her to making sure that nothing like what had happened in the ENCOM system would happen in Kevin’s new “Grid”. As he had been to Alan One (whom Flynn had called Alan, and soon Tron began to do the same), Tron was very loyal to Flynn, always at the “Creator’s” side and offering friendly advice and a hand every once in a while. To commemorate Tron’s heroic actions in the battle against the MCP, the heart of the new Grid was named Tron City, after him. However, Tron never gloated about being a “Grid Hero”, but still performing his duty as overseer of security. Because of Flynn’s frequent departure from the Grid, a new Program was created to maintain the Grid in Flynn’s absence. This program was named Clu (CLU), after another Program that Flynn had but had been destroyed when the MCP was still in order. As Kevin’s absences grew lengthier and lengthier, Tron began to show his doubts about Clu running the Grid, and the fact that Clu was turning into another MCP. However, Flynn had dismissed Tron’s theory as him simply worrying too much, until Clu himself had appeared, confronting Flynn about his absences and how he had left him without any sort of directions. Clu had decided to maintain the Grid in his own way, using the one and only objective that Flynn had given him: achieve perfection in the Grid. When Flynn objected, Clu had attacked him, and in an attempt to protect the Creator, Tron had attacked Clu, hoping to distract the Program long enough for Flynn to escape. It was all he could do to repay him for helping to destroy the MCP. However, unlike Flynn, Tron’s heroic sacrifice had not been so fruitful for himself, being ultimately defeated by Clu’s Identity Disc while Flynn had escaped. Ever since then, Flynn had thought that Tron had been derezzed.
However, once again, Tron had survived, but not in the way that Flynn had expected. When Tron had been defeated by Clu, he had been captured and repurposed to serve the Grid’s new ruler, under the name Rinzler. Though Tron was considered to be dead - that is, derezzed - Rinzler still shared some of Tron’s traits, notably his unparalleled skill in combat and the T-emblem on his chest, although now illuminated in a fiery orange instead of a bright blue. He was also given two Identity Discs to use in battle, something that was nearly unheard of. There was no association with any of the Flynns until what was noted in the real world as twenty years later, when Rinzler was paired against Sam in the final round of Disc Wars. Rinzler had been about to deliver the final blow to Sam, when he noticed a bit of blood come out of one of Sam’s wounds; he was a User. Though he was a servant of Clu, he still maintained his personal promise never to harm a User, and had instead brought Sam to Clu. Rinzler had been assigned to complete several other tasks for Clu, such as attempting to capture Sam after he had escaped from the Light Cycle Grid with Quorra. However, he was first discovered by Flynn himself when the Creator had noticed him patrolling Clu’s command ship, and immediately recognized his emblem. Flynn did not come into contact with Rinzler again until Clu’s forces were pursuing the Light Jet that Flynn and son had stolen. There, he had caught brief eye contact with Flynn, and suddenly Tron had returned within him, until his sheer willpower had eventually overrided Clu’s reprogramming completely. Rinzler - now Tron once again, in spirit - had rammed his Light Jet into that of Clu’s, causing both jets to be destroyed, sending both of them hurtling toward the Sea of Simulation, and ultimately buying time for the Flynns and Quorra to escape. Clu and Tron briefly fought, until Clu grabbed Tron’s spare baton and used it to form a Light Jet, escaping while Tron fell to his untimely demise in the Sea of Simulation. The fiery orange circuitry of Rinzler went out completely while Tron sank, before glowing a bright blue - his former color - as he vanished into the depths, never to be seen again.

What makes this character unique:
Though TRON itself is among the list of the sci-fi movies to end all sci-fi movies, Tron is unique because he's one of Disney's first sci-fi heroes, and he has every quality a hero should have: strong, faithful, loyal, and compassionate, among other things. However, as much of a run-of-the-mill hero Stu he might seem at first, he really has a bit of depth, ranging from his modesty to his naivete to his limited range in non-combat abilities. Though he is a hero with a purpose, he is degraded to more of a side character in the original TRON, and an even more minor role in Legacy. One could compare the relationship between Flynn and Tron as like the one between Jack Sparrow and Will Turner; even though Jack's the one who is considered the main character and does all of the hard work, Will's the one who is considered the hero and gets the girl at the end, even though Jack's still the "Captain".
RP SAMPLE:
Tron sat alone on one of the rooftops, looking out over the glittering lights of the city. His city. The one Flynn had named after him. It had flattered the Program at first, but over time, he had simply gotten used to it, as he had also gotten used to speaking and hearing his own name in reference to the city.
Tron City. Even now, it made him smile, though this was the most he did with it.
He knew Flynn didn't mind that he had come out here by himself. It was one of the few times he was off duty, when the skies were clear and everything and everyone was at peace. Tron closed his eyes for a moment, feeling the silence. It was almost as refreshing as a spring of pure energy. It was a beautiful night, but he almost regretted that he wasn't spending it talking to Flynn. Flynn, Tron's best friend and a User of all things, always had interesting stories, and sometimes they would sit and talk for a while, just about things that had happened. What had happened in the Grid while Flynn had been gone last, and what had been happening in Flynn's life that would interest Tron. Tron always had questions to ask, half to carry on the discussion further and half to satisfy his own craving for information. Flynn had always fascinated him, even from the time they had first met. Tron was lucky that Flynn got along with him as well as he did, or else the Program would have probably been silenced. Even though he knew it didn't take much effort, he still wanted to stay on Flynn's good side. Although Tron would have personally rather seen Alan
Had Tron had a heart, it would have sank immediately at the thought. One of the consequences of him being moved to Flynn's system was that he had to be separated from Yori. As loyal as he was to Flynn, part of him still missed Yori, and it was painful to think that a copy of him (according to Flynn) was still in the ENCOM system with her (although not particularly in those terms had Flynn said this). So, apparently, Tron was once again what the Users called a "bachelor". It was an odd term, but a lot of the Users' terms were odd.
Like 'city'. Tron City. His Tron City.
Tron heard his name and immediately scrambled to his feet, before heading back down into the building to see what (maybe?) Flynn wanted.
