If there was one problem with this whole, new, very close to Man set of territories, and there were quite a few to be honest, peace was almost impossible to find. Oh not from Baloo, the bear was rarely if ever in Bagheera's way, though the panther would say he was glad to have him here (for one it kept him from trying to see and disrupt Mowgli too much), but also for Bagheera's own sake. Baloo had his faults, but was deep down a good sort and a good animal to have about.
He'd certainly shown he had more to him than Bagheera had at first guessed.
No, old friends were not the problem. Nor even new. There were just so many of Man's kind about, and especially of their cubs, and they still approached and spoke to or poked at Bagheera far more than the jungle cat had ever been used to! Of course avoiding the more village type areas was a quick-ish solution to this problem, but the panther still had to run his recognizance of a sort and keep tabs and up to date on all that went about.
For one a Man who seemed able to make himself appear as the animals had arrived. Odd. He would keep an eye out for him, though wasn't sure if he would confront the Man directly, and if he did not in confronting exactly, more feeling out his motives and such.
That seemed the most prominent of any news that could prove useful for Bagheera to know. So, after a quick check this morning, the panther made his way back to some of the more open spots of this place and, finding a nice tree, stretched and then settled. Not having to deal with Hathi's Morning Patrols was nice, though it was currently afternoon; and yet it had provided a rhythm that Bagheera had had to get used to not being to this jungle/place. He felt mostly in sync with this rhythm though, ever changing as it was.
