Character basicsCharacter name: Lilo Pelekai
Age: 6
Species: human
Birthplace: Kauai, Hawaii
Movie: Lilo & Stitch
Custom title: ~ little hula girl ~
Why: IT’S LILO. Do I really need a reason to take this weird, quirky, wonderful little girl? (Plus, apparently, I do a mean impression of her voice…)
Who's the fairest of them all?
Character appearance (try to get at least 2 or 3 sentences for each section)
Hair description: Lilo has straight black hair that reaches her lower back. Her hair is soft, fine, and shiny. Bangs cover her forehead, and her hair is most often tucked behind her ears.
Facial description/mood/expressions: Lilo has tanned skin. She has almond shaped eyes, a wide nose, and a big mouth. She’s pretty expressive, as six-year-olds tend to be.
Clothing style: Lilo is from Hawaii, and logically, she wears Hawaiian-style clothing. Most often, a red muumuu and sandals. Though her hula outfit (a red tube tank and a grass skirt, as well as grass anklets and bracelets) can often be found close.
Body build: As a six-year-old, Lilo is rather small in comparison to the adults around her. She’s still got some of her baby fat, so you could say she’s kinda pudgy. She’s got noticeably short fingers as well.

Original character analysis (In your own words and please be thorough)
Personality: Lilo is brave, kind, caring, and above all else, weird. She likes to do her own thing, even if no one else around her likes doing it. She’s that girl in a crowd ignoring everyone, dancing crazy moves to the music on her headphones. As she is six, she’s also high-spirited and naïve.
Lilo has her creative and sensitive side as well. She enjoys expressing herself through hula and art.
Lilo is not at all perfect, however; she also is short-tempered, stubborn, and often disobedient. She doesn’t disobey out of malice, she just enjoys doing her own thing, and she wants to stay out of trouble—though her disobedience often backfires on her.
She can also be insecure, which ties in to her sensitivity. She’s six, and weird, and she alienated herself from the other children in the hula class and school because of her weirdness. But she knows she’ll always have Nani, Stitch, Jumba, and Pleakley by her side.
History: Lilo was very young when she lost her parents in a car accident. She grew up with her sister, Nani, taking hula classes every Monday and Thursday, spending her afternoons during the week playing in the sand at the beach. Her parents’ deaths isolated the young girl from her peers, but Lilo didn’t mind.
When Lilo was 6, Nani took her to the shelter to buy a dog. Nani thought it would help Lilo feel less lonely, and perhaps help her behavior. Lilo didn’t know it, but she was close to being taken to a foster home, and her poor behavior choices weren’t helping the situation.
Lilo chose a blue dog who was her height when it stood on its hind legs, but most fascinating of all was that the dog could talk! Of course, no one believed her, thinking it was the overactive imagination of a 6-year-old.
A social worker arrived to talk to Nani about the situation, at which point Lilo was tasked with training her new dog, named Stitch, to be a model citizen. She tried her hardest, but things always seemed to go wrong. David (Nani’s not-boyfriend) showed up and took them all surfing, to improve their moods. Stitch was grabbed, and reflexively clung to Lilo, nearly drowning her in the process. David and Nani saved Lilo, and then David returned to save Stitch.
That night, Stitch left. Lilo let him go, promising to always remember him. But Stitch returned unexpectedly the following day, just moments after Nani left to get a job. Closely behind Stitch were two unknown aliens, and after a fight which nearly destroyed the house, Cobra Bubbles came to take Lilo from Nani. She fled, upset that she might never see Nani again.
In the trees by the ruined house, Lilo found out that Stitch was actually an alien, and not a dog at all. She told him to leave, rejecting him from her ‘ohana. She and Stitch were captured by Gantu, though Stitch managed to escape.
Stitch went back to save Lilo, though, during which time Lilo waited. She was frightened, but her fear subsided when she saw Stitch arrive in a giant red spaceship. Unfortunately, Gantu burned Stitch off the ship and Lilo was left alone again. But not for long, because Stitch once again arrived to save Lilo. He saved Gantu, as well.
Upon arriving on the shore, Stitch was captured by a tall blue-grey alien in black clothes. Stitch explained that the Pelekais were Stitch’s family, even if it was little and broken. Lilo added that she had bought him at a shelter, and that it would be stealing if the tall alien took Stitch away. The tall alien conceded, adding that Lilo and Nani were under Galactic protection.
