Who am I? Just a conscience!
Introduce yourself
Hey, howdy, hey! The name's CHRIS, and I wished upon a star from Was here before. My other imaginary friends include DON KARNAGE. HANS and I are so very eager to join the Worlds of Disney circle of life!
Character basics
Character name: Hans
Age: 18
Species: Human
Birthplace: The Southern Isles
Movie: Frozen
Custom title: Beware the frozen heart?
Why'd you pick this character? I've played Hans here and elsewhere before as the blackhearted remorseless villain, but after some thoughts/meta with other friends, I realized something: wouldn't it be interesting to play him as a repentant soul? One who came so close to the edge and, after realizing the full magnitude of what he'd done, pulled back? One who got depressed at just how far he'd fallen? That could be very fertile, interesting territory indeed. I want to make Hans if not fully redeemed, then trying to atone in some ways for his crimes and at least be a better person.
Character appearance (try to get at least 2 or 3 sentences for each section)
Hair description: Hans' hair is bright red, much like Anna's (though she'd loathe the comparison). He keeps it impeccably cut and combed at all times.
Facial description/mood/expressions: Hans has a very handsome, narrow face. His expressions absolutely depend on the situation he finds himself in: open and honest when attempting to be sincere, angry and harsh when being demanding or dealing with obstacles, and authoritative when taking control of something. While he'll certainly let his guard down and play the smooth-talking villain if he so desires, there are indeed moments where genuine sincerity pokes through as well.
Clothing style: Formality and opulence are Hans' forte. He'll dress to the nines in nearly any situation, generally settling on the outfits he wears around royalty. Though if need be, he'll switch to travel clothes, like a winter cloak. Currently, as part of punishment for his crimes, he has been forced to wear a simple beige servant's outfit.
Body build: Hans has a fairly average body build. Tall, broad shoulders, and lightly muscular.

Original character analysis (In your own words and please be thorough)
Personality:
At first glance, Hans seems to be the perfect prince. Polite, charming, heroic, and well-spoken. However, this is a facade, a mountain of lies. In reality, he's utterly devoted to power and the seizing of it. Truthfully, he might not be poorly suited to a leadership rule, as he can play the political games quite well, and knows how to keep up appearances of a kindly, just ruler. It's unfortunate, though, that he would ultimately go towards more ruthless policies and actions.
And yet despite all this, there are some glimmers of humanity in his soul. He trusts and takes care of his horse quite well, for instance. Honestly, if someone genuinely tried to be his friend, it might not turn out so badly.....he just may be too cynical to see it as genuine or long-lasting.
History:
Long ago, in the Southern Isles, there lived a young prince named Hans. He had everything his heart desired growing up in royalty, yet there was something....off that he could never quite understand until he was older. His father and mother treated him cordially if coldly, and his brothers were by and large abusive save for a few exceptions. What was he doing wrong? Finally, he managed to get an answer out of one of his 12 brothers who DIDN'T do things like pretend he was invisible for two years: as the 13th in line, Hans was never going to have a chance to win the throne of his homeland. To reach honor and glory, or even just to have a chance to get out of that environment, he would have to go elsewhere.
And eventually, he did, traveling to Arendelle when Queen Elsa's coronation was announced after a long period of the country cutting itself off from its trade partners. It was here he met Princess Anna: young, needy, DESPERATE for affection. Especially since her sister the queen seemed a rather cold fish. He worked his charms on the princess to the point where he proposed marriage. Elsa, however, refused to grant her blessing, and an argument broke out between. It turned out his assessment of the queen being a cold fish was rather more...literal. And now a seemingly eternal winter was here. Anna insisted on going after her sister to make things right, leaving Hans in charge to fend off the Duke of Weselton, a frightened, greedy old man who had his own designs on Arendelle.
Couldn't have that, obviously. And a perfect opportunity arose when Anna's horse came back into the kingdom without her on it. Hans recruited soldiers to assist him in going after the queen to capture her so that the winter might stop, with the Duke volunteering two of his own men as well. They made their way to the North Mountain, where the queen had constructed an ice palace, as well as a snow monster. After a battle ensued, Hans caused a chandelier to crash into the floor, incapacitating the queen. He begged her to stop the winter when they arrived back in Arendelle, but she said she couldn't.
Then Anna returned, apparently freezing to death and insisting that Hans kiss her to break the spell. In private, Hans revealed that he had been playing her for a fool all along, intending to take the throne by marriage or by force. Locking the doors, he lied to the rest of the castle that Anna had died and exchanged vows with him, next promising to execute the queen for high treason. However, she had escaped, so he took chase after her. After telling her the same lie that Anna had died, he began to take advantage of the queen's grief to kill her. To everyone's surprise, Anna rushed in to take the blow meant for her sister, freezing and knocking Hans back. Hans then woke back up to find himself on a ship and an unfrozen landscape/Anna. She punched him in the face off the ship after telling him the only frozen heart around here was his. Not a bad comeback, all things considered.
He was imprisoned and sent back to his brothers to be punished for his crimes, which mostly consisted of humiliating manual labor, thus leaving the prince in a sorry state indeed. Forced to wear humble clothing and menial labor, he was taken out of the public light and soon fell into a deep depression.
Ambitions:
No matter the time, place, or situation, Hans' ambition is ultimately one thing and one thing only: power. It's what keeps him going. He doesn't even care if it's a lower POSITION of power; as long as he has it in some capacity, that's good enough for him.
Or at least.....that's what he used to think. Now he's lost and directionless. Hans doesn't know what he wants anymore.
Strengths & abilities:
Hans' main strengths come from his mind. He knows his way around absolutely any kind of social situation, can be a genius at manipulating people by saying what he thinks they want to hear, and is a not-half-bad military planner as well. Tying into that, he's proficient with a number of different kinds of weapons, though he ultimately prefers his sword.
Flaws:
Where to start? He can utterly ruthless, amoral, and is willing step on people to further his goals. More practically, he sometimes thinks he can manipulate a situation more than he's really able to; often one rogue element he didn't consider will be enough to spoil his plotting, though he's decent enough at improvisation. And while he can navigate social situations, he's not always great at judging just how far people will go for loved ones.
Likes:
Security, a sense of place and belonging, his horse (horses can never disappoint you like people can, he reasons).
Dislikes:
Anna, most of his brothers, the Duke of Weselton
Fears:
Elsa, being alone, death for his crimes against Arendelle since that's never necessarily off the table...
