Who am I? Just a conscience!
Introduce yourself
Hey, howdy, hey! The name's Neo, and I wished upon a star from this site. My other imaginary friends include Jake, Shere Khan, Hyena Trio. Nick Wilde and I are so very eager to join the Worlds of Disney circle of life!
Character basics
Character name: Nicholas Piberius “Nick” Wilde
Age: 32
Species: Red Fox
Birthplace: Zootopia
Movie: Zootopia
Custom title: Clever Fox
Why'd you pick this character? I always enjoyed alternate settings, and Zootopia was an interesting one. Being a world that is filled with animals who act like humans, there was a lot of room for lore. As for Nick Wilde? I wanted to play as him as I enjoyed his character, his character development, and his skills. And playing as him would be a good chance to see what things would be like with him in our world.
Character appearance (try to get at least 2 or 3 sentences for each section)
Hair description: Nick doesn’t have hair. However, he does have red fur over his body, with cream fur around his muzzle and belly. He is a fox, after all.
Facial description/mood/expressions: Nick has a pointed fox muzzle, with a dark purple nose and large green eyes. His ears will move depending on his mood, much like any fox. As for expressions, Nick is capable of a wide range of emotions that are similar to a human’s. The one he usually keeps, is a sly, clever emotion.
Clothing style: When he isn’t on duty, Nick is often seen wearing a light green hawaiian shirt that has a leaf pattern with a indigo colored neck tie with stripes, complete with a pair of grayish tan pants.
When he is on duty, Nick will be wearing a standard police uniform, consisting of blue shirts and pants, a black belt, and a pair of black boots to complete the look.
No matter the uniform, Nick will always have a pair of sunglasses on hand, in order to protect his eyesight in the day.
Body build: Being a fox, Nick’s height stands at 4 ft. This is roughly average for a fox. Nick also possesses an agile build that is befitting of a fox, which was improved during the time he trained for the ZPD. This allows him to utilize his agility in order to get through situations.
Any unique traits (optional): None
Original character analysis (In your own words and please be thorough)
Personality:
On the surface, Nick appears to be a typical sly, cunning, and shifty fox. He tends to have a sly smile on, and he quite often it appears he is unfazed by what is happening around him. However, this is merely a facade due to the struggles he suffered during his childhood and life, which he is trying his best to break apart and be who he wanted to be.
Still, Nick still holds some emotional baggage. He knows that the world is a cruel place, and that despite the efforts to fix it, it will never be perfect. As a result, Nick has been working on being more positive, and using his sly attitude to his advantage while on the job. He will crack jokes and make fun of people, though he is far from where he once was.
Due to his life on the streets, Nick developed the knowledge he needed in order to survive. He knows how to get around, how to connect with people, and how to trick others and get out of situations. He is not a fighter, and will use these skills when needed, even when he is on duty.
History:
Nick Wilde was born and raised in a small home located in Savannah Central. His family was always poor, with his mother being the only one who raised him, due to his father leaving the family shortly after his birth. Being a child, Nick always wanted to do something good and to be accepted. As such, he always wanted to join the Junior Ranger Scouts. His mother worked hard to save up enough money in order to buy him a uniform, and to allow him to join the group when he was nine.
However, due to being the only fox, and predator, in the division, Nick was tricked by the other children. He was ridiculed, beaten up, and eventually muzzled by the other children. Ashamed, Nick ran out to escape the other children, and in the process, developed a fear muzzles and a dislike towards prey and the prejudice they believe. Since then, Nick swore to keep his emotions suppressed. His abuse only continued as he grew up, leading to him adopting the personality of a stereotypical sly fox, and to him becoming a con artist.
At some point, Nick would meet the arctic shrew mafia boss, Mr. Big. Impressed by his ability, Mr. Big and Nick developed a relationship, even to the point of allowing Nick into his home. Though, Nick took advantage of that relationship, and in the process, broke it. Mr. Big was angered by Nick’s betrayal, and swore to kill the fox if he ever saw him again. As a result, Nick needed a partner whom he could trust. Someone who would share his views, and was of his own species.
Thankfully, he found that someone when he met Finnick. Nick met the fennec fox sometime ago when he was stuck in juvenile detention. The two foxes were, at first, rivals. But they developed an understanding of one another overtime, to the point where Finnick agreed to join forces with Nick in order to con other animals, and get away with it. Nick often handled with the plans, and always had the right permits to perform them legally, while Finnick was used in order to trick other, often using his small size and the fact that animals don’t really know the difference between the two foxes.
Nick’s life would soon take a turn. Upon a chance encounter with a new bunny police officer by the name of Judy Hopps, Nick’s connection to one of the suspects the ZPD was investigation soon led to him being forced to work with Judy. Nick wanted to nothing of it, and tried his best to mess up Judy’s investigation in order to get her out of the way, and to get rid of the recorder she had. This, eventually leads him to meeting Mr. Big, much to his fear.
Thankfully, the timely arrival of Mr. Big’s daughter, who was saved by the bunny earlier, not only saved Nick’s life, but also allowed them to acquire the information they need to continue the investigation. This led them to a jaguar by the name of Mr. Manchas, who suddenly became savage and attacked them. The two escape, but Manchas disappears.
Upon his arrival, Chief Bogo accused Judy of failing. Being reminded of his own struggles, Nick defends the bunny, and points out that they still have time to complete the investigation. He then tells Judy of his own childhood, breaking his vow to hide his feelings. Maybe, he was wrong? Perhaps, not all prey disdained him?
After finding out where the jaguar went to, Nick and Judy investigated an abandoned hospital, and found out that the city’s mayor was behind the kidnappings. The two investigated their findings, and the mayor is arrested. A press conference is held, and Judy, wanting Nick to stay with her, offers him a chance to be her partner. Nick was hopeful that things would finally change in his life, that he could finally move on from his childhood.
...but that was not to be. When Judy gets pressured, she suggests that the savage nature that they encountered was ‘natural’. Nick was stunned, and all of the emotions he had hidden away suddenly gushed out. In anger, he lashed out at Judy, who acted in fear and unknowingly reached for her fox repellent. This only confirmed Nick’s anger, and the fox stormed off. This was only the beginning of the worst 3 months in Nick’s life…
With the press conference, the city dissolved into chaos and anarchy. Protests broke out into riots. Anti-predator groups rose up. The ZPD struggled to maintain the peace. And Nick, despite returning to his normal life, felt the effects. The fox, too little, to late, realized that his emotions got the best of him. He had to live with that guilt during those months, and when Judy did return, he was quick to forgive her.
The two continued the investigation, as Judy found out the true cause for animals turning savage. After finding a secret lab, and recovering evidence, the two made their way to the ZPD. However, the true mastermind, Bellweather, showed up, and the pair had to out-wit her in order to survive, and to gain evidence to convict her of the crime. The re-invigorated ZPD arrived soon after to arrest the sheep.
Judy rejoins the ZPD, and Nick, finally, joined soon after. After months of training, Nick was accepted onto the police force by the friend who helped him along the way. And since then, Nick wanted to turn over a new leaf. To leave his old life behind, and to start anew in order to make the city a better place. Not just for himself, but for everyone.
