Character basics
Character name: Beatrice Potts
Age: About 45 years old
Species: Human
Birthplace: England
Movie: Beauty and the Beast
Custom title: Momma Teapot
Why'd you pick this character? I’ve always loved Beauty and the Beast, and she is just so amazing, like the mother Belle never had.
Character appearance (try to get at least 2 or 3 sentences for each section)
Hair description: Straight brown hair that extends about halfway down her back. Often worn up, at least when she is working. At least, that it how it looked before she was turned into a teapot. As a teapot, she didn’t age, however, when she was first turned back human, her hair was white because of the pattern of her teapot. Over time, as more affects wore off, such as the teapot-like stance she naturally positioned herself in, and her hair faded back. Now her hair is back to normal, except for a few new sprinklings of grey hair.
Facial description/mood/expressions: Her bright, cheerful, hazel eyes and pink lips make her still look beautiful, even though her face does have quite a few wrinkles, most of them are from laughing and smiling.
Clothing style: Beatrice wears different styles depending on where she is. At work she often wears something simple and neat, usually in dull, muted colors, while at parties she can be seen wearing a bit more extravagant dresses with exciting patterns and colors.
Body build: Mrs. Potts is a little shorter than average, while her body is a little bit bigger than average, she if soft and warm, her body is almost all curves.

Original character analysis (In your own words and please be thorough)
Personality:
Mrs. Potts is motherly above all. Having 6 children she knows how to comfort her younger friends. She is also very gentle and kind. She doesn’t force things upon people, and is very kindhearted. Also is very patient about most things, including love. She always puts other people first.
History:
Beatrice was born to a poor, working family around 1705 in England. The youngest of four siblings, her father worked many hours to provide for the family. Although they were simple, they were full of love. When their father fell ill, Beatrice was about 8 years old. Beatrice’s oldest brother, Peter, who was 15, set off to work in London and would send money back to the family. Their mother worked as a housekeeper for a wealthy estate, and Beatrice was often left alone with one of her siblings. Her father soon died from the disease. One by one, the siblings left to go find their own way, following Peter was Anne, who went to make clothes when Beatrice was 9. When she was 11, Robert off to join the army. Finally, when Beatrice was 13, Arthur set off to cook for a wealthy family in France. Beatrice had stopped school at this point and helped her mother with her job to support the two of them. When she was 16, her mother died, and she decided to move to France, the country she had always dreamed of, and followed Arthur’s example, becoming a maid for a king of a fancy castle.
She waited upon the residents of the castle, and soon fell in love with a man from a nearby village, Jean Potts. She married him, and had their first child together, Marie. As Mrs. Potts kept working, she was promoted to higher and higher positions until she was the head housekeeper. Her husband, Jean, watched over Marie during the day as he sold his baked goods. Soon Marie was joined by Pierre, another son. Then there was Catherine and Margaret, twins. Louis was their second to last child, then finally, Jacques, or “Chip.” The nickname came from his similarity to his father, he was often called “A chip off the old block.”
Soon, the plague hit. 8 year old Marie, 7 year old Pierre, 5 year old Catherine and Margaret, 3 year old Louis, and baby Jacques “Chip” were brought to the castle to be raised. As they each came of age, about 6-8 depending on their maturity, they started to work small jobs in the castle. Just like Beatrice, they were a poor family, but a happy one. When a curse struck the castle 7 years later, Beatrice found herself as a teapot, and her children were teacups. Mrs. Potts was saddened that her children had to live this way, especially her youngest, Chip. They lived like they had, and helped out as much as they could. They slept together in the cupboard, as a family. As years passed, optimistic Mrs. Potts began to lose hope in returning to her human form.
Years later, Belle arrived at the castle. Mrs. Potts took her under her wing like another daughter. All though the other servants tried to rush things, Beatrice knew that love had to be done properly. She watched as the Beast and Belle slowly fell in love, to her delight. When the Beast let her go, Beatrice’s heart was warmed by his kindness. Accepting her fate as a teapot, she stayed with her family as they started to lose their lives. Soon, the last petal fell, and they turned human. The family of tea ware was all together. To their surprise, they started to turn back human. They were all the same age, but they were slightly affected by their time as objects. By the time the wedding of the two arrived, they had turned back to normal. The servants all resumed their duties, however, the whole staff and the residents of the castle was like one big family.
