Who am I? Just a conscience!
Introduce yourself
Hey, howdy, hey! The name's JESSICA, and I wished upon a star from SEARCHED MY MEMORY. My other imaginary friends include NONE AT PRESENT and I are so very eager to join the Worlds of Disney circle of life!
Character basics
Character name: She goes by Miss Kitty Mouse on stage but Kathryne Alcott is her real name.
Age: 25
Species: Mouse
Birthplace: London, England
Movie: The Great Mouse Detective
Custom title: Entertainment Aficionado
Why'd you pick this character? There are so many reasons why I love this character! She's shown for about two minutes in the film, but I have a soft spot for minor canon characters. The world for them to live in has already been created, but there is so much freedom in how to interpret them. Besides---that mouse can sing!
Character appearance
Hair description: Kitty has bright white hair that never seems to get dirty despite her working facilities. She wears a beautiful blue bow in her hair, showcasing her favorite color while also being practical in keeping her tufts of fur out of her eyes. Her fur always maintains a fluffy appearance and rarely stays flat against her coat. If by some chance her hair does become dirty, Kitty cleans it off quickly. She has found throughout the years, the men at the pub enjoy the drastic contrast between Kitty and all of the other bar maids in the establishment. While it isn't attention she is seeking by the patrons, their money pays her bills.
Facial description/mood/expressions: With a pear shaped face, Kitty’s facial features all seem to mesh particularly well. Her long almond shaped eyes covered with blue eye shadow, match not only her ribbon but also her actual eyes themselves. It’s as if everything was color coordinated in her outfit around her gorgeous blue orbs. She has a round mauve button nose, nearly the size of her pupils. Her lips are a soft pink color which precisely match the color of her inner ear.
Clothing style: There's no secret that Kitty's clothes when performing could be deemed by most as a little revealing. She wishes above all else that her talent or worth was not directly affected by how the male mice viewed her in the pub. That being said-- her clothing really depends upon the type of performance. Over the course of her career, she has tried beginning her numbers with a simple dress, and at times, that seems to be enough to keep the patrons paying attention (and paying her). Honestly, it isn't until she puts on a more traditional can-can inspired outfit (obviously blue), she then gets the majority of the customers engaged. Kitty tries not to take it personally. When she is not working, she goes for simple. Elegant. Affordable.
Body build: She is a very slender mouse without an ounce of fat on her. Since she is in fact of the mouse species, she’s hardly as tall as a coffee cup but that has never seemed to bother her. London has been advancing over the use with their large amount of mouse sized facilities. She is quite the slender mouse but that is only due to her large amounts of dancing on stage. Kitty’s mother, after having nearly twelve children lost her figure completely. Kitty is quite sure if she ever had children the same would be the case for her.
Original character analysis (In your own words and please be thorough)
Personality:
Some may say that Miss Kitty has multiple personalities which she identifies. Her stage persona “Miss Kitty” is a dominate mouse who will not put up with anything. She is strong, self confident, and stares danger in the face without blinking. Growing up spending more time in a pub than in school, she has learned that your power is found in your attitude. She's a bit of a hypocrite in that regard, boasting confidence on stage with both her singing abilities and costume. Yet, when she's home with her family--Kitty becomes Kathryne.
A name from her mother's side, Kathryne has difficulty speaking up at home. With twelve brothers and sisters, their growing families, and their families--it's hard to get a word in. Her family's disregard for her profession, claiming it is a waste of time, shoots down that confidence more and more. Maybe that's why she prefers the stage. On stage, she can be anyone her heart desires. She does however shy away from always being the center of attention. When she isn’t working, Kathryne enjoys having nice quiet conversations. People fascinate her. While invigorating, the stage can still be lonely. Ironic that a person who spends the majority of her life surrounded by others, could ever be lonely.
History:
Kathryne is the youngest of twelve children in her family. Her mother and father adored large families and always encouraged their own children to start having families of their own. Kathryne however was not one to want too many children. Instead of learning how to cook and sew like the rest of her sisters, she was far more interested in performing. While she was young, her parents encouraged her to take part in school plays and other small performing roles throughout the community but when the time came to actually settle down and get married, Kathryne did not humor that idea for too long. She pushed aside her parents’ wishes for her future and followed her own path. This caused a distance to form between herself, her mother, and especially her father. The overwhelming concern that she somehow disappointed the people who were supposed to love her no matter what--it was difficult. Do you follow your dream or follow the ones you love? She stills asks herself that very question every day.
Her first and only singing job has been at the small underground pub near the docks. While the atmosphere and ambiance may not be the most inviting, it is the only place where she feels free enough to be herself. Honestly, the only reason she got the job was in a poor turn of fate when the lead singer (a male at the time) had some shady business with the notorious criminal, Professor Ratigan. Rumor has it that he was fed to a cat. Yes, unfortunate set of circumstances if they are true, but it did provide an opening for the young mouse. Many times she has asked her parents to come down and see her perform, but they always decline her invitation. It's a polite, very much English response--but that doesn't stop the hurt. Kathryne goes by 'Miss Kitty Mouse' on stage, enjoying the contrast between her mousy like persona at times and then the abrupt switch to a more confident woman, hence Kat and Mouse. Besides---a cat, albeit, a terrible cat--could very well be the reason she has a job in the first place.

RP SAMPLE:
Throbbing. The absolute agony of a headache was not lost on Kathryne as she had become quite familiar with the sensation over a number of years working in the pub. A mouse doesn't spend all hours of the night singing and dancing, to wake up in a pleasant state. No. She was constantly sore, dehydrated, among other things. However, this pain was altered in comparison to the headaches she had experienced in the past. This was a more acute tenderness. Nevertheless, she would open her eyes, start up some tea, and go about her day.
A gust of warm air brushed past her shoulder before her blue hues could set their line of vision on anything. It was then---then that she realized her location. The smell of warm pastries, the warmth of the sun radiating down on her, unlike what London typically produced—a place she had thought to never return to ever again. How was she back? How had she left in the first place? White fur stood straight in utter panic as she willed herself to be dreaming.
Yet, no amount of sheer persistence could turn this into a magical dream, despite the tone of the location she had entered. This was—without a doubt….Walt Disney World. A land, she had encountered long ago with no real understanding of how she had made it back to her world.
"You have to open your eyes, old girl," Kathryne urged herself, finally opening her eyes to the world around her. Ah yes. Not so much a dream after all.
