This was a huge place. It was a nice look of New Orleans but it wasn't. She looked over and a saw a lake and a few people came up to her. "Oh... I... I don't know... Okay... " she said softly to herself as a small person came up to her and posed with her. She was confused on what was going on. She didn't know where she was and she blinked for a moment. "Naveen, how I wish you were here..." she said in a soft sad voice. She had only arrived moments ago. She was just with him this morning. She said nothing as she left the look a like of New Orleans.
Silence was with her as she paused at the lake and looked over for a moment. "What is this place?" she questioned herself. Tiana soon began to walk through the look a like of New Orleans. It was a strange world. There were people that didn't look like home to her. She sighed softly again shook her head. Naveen would have known what this place would have been since he had been around the world. Tiana was only a real New Orleans girl. She said nothing as she was lost in her own world; and she bumped into someone. "Oh! So sorry there Sugar! I didn't see you! " she said softly keeping where she was. She was dressed in her pants, a whit shirt and a orange coat. She kept where she was for sometime. "Do you know where I am? Like what part of the world I am in?" she asked the stranger keeping where she was for several moments. "This looks like Home, but its not home. I am Tiana by the way" she said softly keeping where she was.
Charlotte wasn't really paying much attention to where she was going. As she clicked along in her stylish heels she had her head buried, metaphorically speaking, in one of the shopping bags she had hung over her arm. She was looking for that scarf she'd just bought, but it had fallen to the very bottom of the bag. As she was rummaging and walking at the same time, it was no surprise that she bumped into several people along the way.
"Folks sure are clumsy 'round hear," she said to herself as she finally looked up.
Lottie let out an ear-piercing scream. There was her best friend Tiana talking with some stranger. "Tia! Tiiiii-aaaaa!"
Galloping up to the other girl, Lottie threw hr arms, shopping bags and all, around Tiana. "Oh, Tia-tia-tia-tia!"
Tiana was at a loss for words as she watched another person come barreling through. Her eyes widened and she heard the ear piercing scream. Only her best friend had that voice and of course scream. Finally! Someone she recgonized. Even though she was here for a few hours! "Lottie!" she said happily and she hugged her best friend so tightly she pulled back and smiled faintly. "Thank god you are here! What is this place?! I was back home in New Orleans, and then suddenly I was here! I was on my way to the restaurant to get started on some gumbo for the restaurant for Tonight's dinner, but I honestly don't know how I ended up here!" she stated to her. She sighed softly and she kept where she was.
"You've been shopping I see!" she said with a light laugh. "Oh, Lottie. I'm so happy you are here!" she said hugging her once more before pulling away. "If only Naveen was here too! He's back home. I'm sure he's worried sick about me!" she said looking at her. "How long have you been here?!" she asked keeping where she was. "And are you staying anywhere?" she asked suddenly keeping where she was. Tiana said nothing more as she beamed with happiness seeing her Best friend here.
The young Princess looked about her surroundings and she looked at her friend once more. "I was asked by a small child earlier, if they could have a picture with me. I don't know understand why anyone would want a picture with me. " she said shaking her head. "Is it possible if I could stay with you? That is until I find my own place. i don't know where this is. If your father here too? I may bring my beignets here and my special gumbo!" she said chuckling keeping where she was.
So many questions! That was only natural, as was the fact that Lottie was so busy jumping up and down and screaming that she hardly heard them.
"Oh, Tia, Ah'm so glad to see y'all! It's jus' been ages since Ah had a girlfriend to talk with!" She was so happy that the tears started to trickle down, dragging some mascara with them.
I was back home in New Orleans, and then suddenly I was here!
"Me, too," replied the southern belle, calming down a little.
You've been shopping I see!
"What else?" giggled Lottie. She retrieved her packages and continued, "Wait till you see what Ah bought today! The most scrumptious hat!" Before she could show it off, some of Tiana's conversation managed to get through. "Oh. Why, this here is a park, though it ain't like any park Ah ever seen. But that's what they call it. It's got stores, an' spas, an' gardens. An' stores..."
Then Tiana started to ask about their loved ones back home. "No, Ah ain't seen Naveen or Daddy, or your Mama, or anybody Ah evah knew. Ah 'spect they're back in N'Awlins." Thinking about her daddy made her bee-stung lip tremble. It might even bring on a gusher if they weren't careful.
I don't know understand why anyone would want a picture with me.
"Me neither," shrugged the blonde debutante. "Ah guess 'cuz you're so pretty!" But no one had ever asked Charlotte for her picture...
Is it possible if I could stay with you? That is until I find my own place.
"Absolutely not!" How shocking! "You're gonna stay with me forevah! It'll be so much fun, like a sleep over. Ah got plenty of room in my suite."
The little blonde of energy was just a site to see for Tiana. She was glad she had someone to gossip with. At least this was a familiar face. She only wished that Naveen was here too. Her husband," her prince. She couldn't believe it that she managed to meet a prince back at home. She looked upon Lottie once more as she spoke again. Frowning; she said nothing as she mentioned that her father wasn't here either. "I'm sure Big Daddy; is worried about you just as Naveen and Mama are about me." she said with a small smile. "But don't you worry. I'll protect you as much as I can. Remember, I did live a few nights as a frog..." she said chuckling soon shivering at the thought.
An' stores..." Then Tiana started to ask about their loved ones back home. "No, Ah ain't seen Naveen or Daddy, or your Mama, or anybody Ah evah knew. Ah 'spect they're back in N'Awlins." Thinking about her daddy made her bee-stung lip tremble. It might even bring on a gusher if they weren't careful.
"I would love a Spa Day! Specially with my best friend" she said smiling keeping where she was for several moments. "You've covered the stores already there Lottie..." she said giggling. "I'm probably gonna have to go shopping my own self as well. I can't live in these clothes for a long time. Who knows when we'll get back home again...." she said with a sad tone in her voice.
Rolling her eyes; she looked at her friend. "Aw, thank you Lottie. I think someone will ask for your picture too. Don't you worry! And, if not perhaps some day when someone small wants to take my picture with me, I'll see if they want one with you too." she said smiling. Soon Tiana brightened when she said she could stay with her. "That'll be just Swell Lottie! Thank you!" she said hugging her tightly and then pulling away. "Now... What is this place called. We should ask someone about that..." she said softly to her friend as she kept close and she looked about her surroundings.
"I would love a Spa Day! Specially with my best friend"
"Oh, Tia, we are gonna have so much fun!" squealed Lottie. "Ah go shoppin' almost every day, there's so many glorious stores!" That was probably not news to one who knew her so well.
What is this place called. We should ask someone about that...
"Ah already know that, silly! It's named for the founder. Or the owner...Mistah Walt Somebody. Ah've even seen his statue. Looks like a very nice gentleman."
Lessee, what other news did she have to catch Tiana up on? "Tia! Tia! Tia! Ah almost forgot the most wonderful thing of all! Ah've met my Prince Charming! His name's Hans, an' he's a for-real prince! Wait 'til you see him! He's got red hair an' dreamy eyes...you an' Naveen will just love him!"
It was then that Charlotte realized her gaffe. "Oh, Naveen's not here. Ah'm sorry, Tia honey. But maybe he'll be here soon, now that you're here."
Lottie was one of her dearest and oldest friends. Tiana enjoyed the fact she loved to shop so much. Given the fact she had money. Now Tiana herself had money more money than she can handle. Ever since being married to Naveen, she continued to work hard for her dreams. Even though two of them came true. She still enjoyed working. It gave her something to do. Tiana listened to Lottie ramble but she was happy to have seen someone she knew. "Perhaps we can go see the statue. I've never been here and I'd love to see the man that this place is named after. Mr. Walt sounds interesting but I'm sure his full name is there on the statue." she said with a light laugh.
Soon she blinked when Lottie said she found her prince charming. She quirked a brow at the name of Hans. "Hmm I'm gonna have to meet him... and see if he's alright for you. I just don't want you to get hurt along the way you kno?" she said smiling looking upon Lottie. "So, now that I have you here. We should go exploring. I would love to see what this place is really like." she said chuckling to herself. "Pretty sure that he's fine and probably wondering where I am. I'm sure he'll turn up soon!" she said softly to her. "C'mon, show me around!" she said happily.
"Ah know! Won't that be just divine? Maybe we can double date!" It almost made Charlotte scream with delight!
I just don't want you to get hurt along the way you kno?
"Silly!" she chastised her friend, but in an affectionate way. Tiana was so over-reacting! How could a Prince Charming hurt a girl?
C'mon, show me around!
Lottie was so happy she fairly bounced up and down. "It'll be just us two, two girls out on the town!" She linked an arm with Tiana, which wasn't easy, what with all those packages, and led the way down the street. "This here store is just full of crystal an' things," began Lottie pointing to an elegant shop on the left. "An' this one sells perfume. Ah just bought me a new bottle. Got it here somewhere. It's called 'Twilight Dreams.' Isn't that just mysterious?" She dragged Tia further along the street. "An' here's one that sells silver necklaces!"

When Lottie Mentioned about a double date when her own husband wasn't here. She frowned at the thought and she looked at the other woman with a small smile upon her face. "Well, Whenever Naveen gets here. Perhaps that would be swell Lottie" she said softly. "I do miss him something terrible. I do hope he's alright... without me. I hope my Mama can come eventually as well." sh said smiling. Tiana was thankful that at least Charlotte was here. She was her most dearest best friend.
Tiana looked around her surroundings then back at Charlotte. "I am also excited upon getting some new clothes... and eat something! I have to do something about gettin a job here tho...." she said softly to him. Tiana soon found the Statue of Walt Disney and Mickey eyeing the Castle. "Oh my. What a beautiful Castle!" she said softly to him. "Walt Disney...." she said softly eyeing the name of the statue. "He seems like a fabulous man .... Too bad he ain't here for all of us to meet him...." she said softly keeping where she was.
Soon Charlotte began to name all the stores and she chuckled at her friend. "Lottie Lottie. Calm down! Did you have a lot of sugar since you've been here?" she asked with a teasing face on and she smiled softly and hugged her once more. Then pulled back and placed her hand in hers. She looked around then back at her. "Now, lets just take a walk and see where our feet brings us!" she said softly. "Are there any good food here?" she asked looking at Lottie as they began to walk.
I am also excited upon getting some new clothes...
"Well, you sure came to the right place!" Her voice took on that deeper, throatier sound that told she was so excited she was forgetting to be demure. "They got some of the sweetest dresses you ever did see!" Of course, some of the outfits were bizarre, not fashionable at all, at least not to a Roaring Twenties belle like Charlotte.
I have to do something about gettin a job here tho....
Lottie almost told her not to worry, she had more than enough money to support them both. But she knew her friend Tiana, and she knew that girl would never take anything she hadn't earned. In fact, Tia would actually be happier working than not. Go figure.
"Tia, they got so many restaurants here, Ah'm sure a girl with your cooking talent could get a job runnin' any of 'em!"
Are there any good food here?
"Yeah, but nuthin' as good as your place back home," answered the loyal Lottie. "Why, here's one...Cafe Orleans...that sounds nice, doesn't it?"

A small smile appeared upon Tiana's face. She said nothing for several moments as Lottie spoke to her. Disney Parks was truly a magical place indeed. Even under Mr. Walt Disneys' Statue said: "To all who come to this happy place welcome. All Ages are welcomed here...!" it truly twas a special place. Silence was with Tiana as she listened to her speak and she walked around. Getting stopped by small children who recognized her. She was fairly confused by it all. Had this little girl been to New Orleans before? Is that why she recognized her? She wasn't too sure. "Ya'll welcome Darlin." she muttered as the girl happily skipped away with her autographed book. She blinked as she looked over at Lottie with a shrug.
"As much as I do enjoy my own clothes. I can't stay in these forever." she said chuckling. "Who knows how long we'll be here for...." she said in a soft voice keeping where she was for several moments. She looked at the Café that stated it was: "Café Orleans" Tiana scrunched up her face for a moment and she gave it a go. "Hmmm Perhaps we could try out there food here. I don't have much money though...to pay just yet..." she said softly to her. "It'll be a good break from working though as much as I love it... I could see how good Park food is..." she said with a light smile.
Tiana looked over at Lottie. "Shall we try it ? Or shall we shop first before we eat? I'm good with anything Lottie." she said smiling keeping where she was watching her friend with aw. Soon her stomach growled and she blinked for a moment. "Maybe we should eat first before we go exploring and do some shopping!" she said happily keeping where she was. "Lets try this place..." she said smiling. "And, If I ever do get a job here. I'll bring a Mini Tiana's Place here!" she said chuckling. "God knows, that this place could use some real southern cookin...." she said softly to her friend.
There was another little girl asking Tiana to sign a book of some kind. Charlotte just stared and blinked, utterly unable to account for it.
Shall we try it? Or shall we shop first before we eat?
Really? Was there any doubt? "Oh, shop! Why, shoppin' is like...food for the soul!" The southern belle proceeded to describe her last shopping spree when she was interrupted by a low growl. She hid a giggle behind her hand, followed by an unladylike snort. "Maybe lunch first, shoppin' later."
She sashayed into the cafe, giving the host her patented look that said, 'I expect the very best table.' The pair was quickly ushered to a cozy little corner and a table for two. The decor really did bespeak New Orleans, some of it authentic, though some was clearly fake. Still, it gave a native a pleasant touch of home.
"Lessee what's on the menu, Tia. Ah'm buyin', so order up whatever you want. Ooh! Shrimp an' grits!" She'd meant to order a salad, that being a dish that spoke of refinement and gentility. But Lottie did love grits. She gave her choice to the waiter, adding a Charcuterie Board to share, and then allowing Tiana to pick whatever she liked.
Tiana smiled upon Charlotte and she nodded her head. "Its a good therapy situation I believe...Specially when your sad.." she said chuckling keeping where she was. Tiana gave a sigh and she looked around her surroundings then back at Charlotte. "Yes, Lunch sounds like a good idea. I would love to test out the food here. Specially in this part of the parks! Who knows, I may have to bring my southern cooking here after all!" she said chuckling.
Entering the eatery Tiana looked about her surroundings then back at Charlotte as she sat down by the window. "However, this place does smell good!" she said chuckling keeping where she was. Tiana soon got the menu and she looked it over. "Oh, Charlotte you don't have to. Its alright. I have a little bit of money. " she said softly to her friend when she reached into her pockets she blinked. "I suppose it'll be alright. till I get some money of my own....I guess it disappeared when i arrived here..." she said blinking with embarrassment.
"I'll try their gumbo, and the shrimp and grits as well... maybe some fried chicken as well..." she said softly as she looked at the menu. "Oh! i would also love to try their sweet tea as well..." she said softly as she lowered the menu and closed it. "Other than you meeting your Prince Charming Charlotte, how have you been? How many days have you been here as well?" she asked softly keeping where she was.
"If shoppin' is good therapy, than I'm the sanest li'l gal in N'Awlins!" Lottie laughed at her own joke until she snorted.
I suppose it'll be alright. till I get some money of my own....I guess it disappeared when i arrived here...
The debutante waved all that away with one manicured hand. "Don't think a thing about it, Tia. Talkin' about money is such bad manners." Really, she had more than enough for a dozen roomies. "Spendin' it is more fun anyhow." Charlotte knew that Tiana was poor. She knew, in a vague sort of way, that a lot of people were poor. She wasn't sure why or how, but it was so. But what good was money sitting in a dusty old bank? Charlotte liked to use it, to spend it, to give it away, whatever.
How many days have you been here as well?
Her blue eyes widened at the question. "Well, Ah don't rightly know. It's kinda hard to keep track... Ah did throw a party last Christmas! Or was it the year before?"

Tiana sat across from Charlotte and she looked at her for a moment. Back home she came from nothing and worked her way up to upon where she is now. She loved being married to Naveen. His family was welcoming from the start. Let alone, she still worked even though she was married in a Royal family now. So that startled them a little bit. Silence was with Tiana and she looked up at her for a bit. A small smile appeared as she at there for several moments. "Thank you for buying Lottie. I will remember to pay you back...." she said softly. "Perhaps if one of the cast members allow me to set up a tiny thing called 'Tiana's Place' here I could make you some of my famous Beignets!" she said keeping where she was smiling a bit.
When Lottie said she was here during Christmas time she blinked and tilted her head. "So I suppose you've been here for a year then!" she said trying to calculating how long Lottie was here for her. She said nothing for several moments. "Or at least i think so... I'm not too sure though..." she said keeping where she was as she was with her best friend. Thank god for Lottie being here. Tiana was happy to have someone she knew here.
Thank you for buying Lottie. I will remember to pay you back....
"Oh, pshaw, what's a li'l money between friends? You'd do the same for me!" And Lottie meant it. She was richer than sin, but didn't really know the value of money. In fact, she hardly thought about the stuff at all. To her it was simply a means to an end, a way to get the things she wanted. She had no qualms about spending it on her friends, or even giving it away.
Perhaps if one of the cast members allow me to set up a tiny thing called 'Tiana's Place' here I could make you some of my famous Beignets!
"Why, Tia, Ah think that's a marvelous idea! Y'all should set up a place...Ah'll be your first customer! Your beignets are the cat's pajamas!"
"So I suppose you've been here for a year then!"
"Um...Ah'm not really sure...it's a funny thing, but Ah can't really recall. Ain't that strange?" It was more than any bubbleheadedness Charlotte might possess--time just seemed to pass differently here.
Tiana watched her friend as she glowed with excitement. She would have of course have to meet this Hans guy and make sure he was a good fit for Charlotte. She wanted the best for her best friend. Charlotte was her most and truest friend she ever had. Never judged her for anything. Tiana was happy she found someone, but she wanted to also make sure this guy was alright and not a loser.
She smiled upon Lottie as she spoke to her. "Yes, I know I would do the same... " she said chuckling a bit keeping where she was. She of course wasn't going to tell Lottie her plan about meeting Hans. She didn't want to scare her. She looked at her friend a bit more and she tilted her head a bit as she said she didn't remember how long she was here. "That is a bit strange Lottie. That you've been here through Christmas and you don't remember how long you've been here. Perhaps when you've stayed long enough the memories just disappear. That's just my theory though" she said with a shrug.
Soon the food came and she smelled it. It did smell like home, but now for the best part. if it tasted like home. If not, she would have to take over and cook for them if needed. She didn't mind cooking. "Oh, this is wonderful Sugar! This all looks marvelous!" she said happily to the waitress who was kind enough to bring the food. Once she was gone; she looked over at Lottie. "I hope the food tastes good as wonderful as it smells!" she said chuckling.
Perhaps when you've stayed long enough the memories just disappear. That's just my theory though
"Ah guess so," replied Charlotte with a shrug of her dimpled shoulders. She was not a deep thinker, and would leave the theorizing to someone else. As long as Lottie was enjoying herself here, she wasn't about to worry her pretty little head over how long it lasted. Or how to get back, for that matter.
I hope the food tastes good as wonderful as it smells!
It was so like Tiana to sit there admiring the food and savoring the aroma. For her part, Lottie crowed, "Well, let's dig in!" before stabbing a shrimp and stuffing a bit too much of it into her mouth. With cheeks puffed out even more than their usually fullness, the blonde debutante tried to smile her approval as she chomped away.
After taking the first bite Tiana was somewhat pleased and somewhat not. But she wasn't going to say anything. She was just rather happy to be with a familiar face and not to be completely alone in the new world. "Yep, I'm going to have to bring my own southern cooking to this place" she said softly. "Real, Southern cooking. This place is good. But not great.... " she stated to Lottie as they ate. "It seems they are trying to bring the real deal here within these parks... but I think it'll be more fun to have my own restaurant here." she said softly to her.
"They did try though. And I'll give them credit on that..." she said with a light smile. "But no one knows how to make beignets like I do.. I have my own secret recipe..." she said smiling. Tiana continued eating though because she was indeed hungry. She looked around where they were and then back at Lottie. "So Tiana's Place probably will be here before you know it Lottie!" she said chuckling as they ate. Because she was still new to this world; she was curious upon who to talk to about bringing her restaurant here.
Silence was with her as she finished her meal. "Well, that was rather swell Lottie, Thank you. Lets explore this place shall we? I'm eager to see what this place has to offer." she said smiling as she rose from her seat after they paid for their lunch. She walked close to Lottie, and she looked about her surroundings. "I just hope your father; and Naveen will be the ones who will be coming next to this interesting land. " she said softly as they continued walking.
So Tiana's Place probably will be here before you know it Lottie!
"Sounds divine," cooed Lottie as soon as she could manage to speak without choking.
It seems they are trying to bring the real deal here within these parks...
"If anybody kin do it, it's my best friend Tiana." Though she was accustomed to the finer things, including the best of foodstuffs, Charlotte was certainly no gourmet. Still she felt instinctively that whatever Tiana made would be the best by definition.
The two girls continued their meal and their amiable chatting until the last crumb. Then:
Well, that was rather swell Lottie, Thank you. Lets explore this place shall we? I'm eager to see what this place has to offer.
"Ah'm all for that!" Lottie's social calendar was never too demanding; though she always found plenty to do, her schedule was flexible, or rather, non-existant. "Whatever you wanna see is all right by me. We got plenty a' time for everything!"
With that, she sashayed out the door arm in arm with Tia, looking for the next adventure.
