Who am I? Just a conscience!
Introduce yourself
Hey, howdy, hey! The name's Sephy, and I wished upon a star from Google?. My other characters include Helen Parr, Jack Jack Parr, Héctor Rivera, Destin Mattias, Gaston, Iago, Morgan, and Pinocchio. Morgana Macawber and I are so very eager to join the Worlds of Disney circle of life!
Character basics
Character name: Morgana Macawber
Age: 35
Species: Anthropomorphic duck
Birthplace: Castle Macawber in Transylvania, but later moved to her Macawber Manor in St. Canard
Movie: Darkwing Duck
Custom title: Reformed Magical Business Woman
Why'd you pick this character? Because I've always loved Darkwing Duck <3 Plus, I love the fact that Morgana is a mix of Lily Munster and Morticia Addams. I adore that even as a villainess, she always tried to protect Darkwing from villains from the very beginning, which makes her later reformation realistic. That, and her reason of turning to crime being because of her student loans sounded so realistic lol <3
Character appearance (try to get at least 2 or 3 sentences for each section)
Hair description: Morgana has black hair done up in a high pompadour with two strands of silver on each side. If she were to get wet or if she were to let the wind blow through her hair, then her hair would appear long and wavy several inches past her hips (as pictured in the comics). If she were to transform into an animal, she would still appear with her black and silver hair done up in a pompadour.
Facial description/mood/expressions: Morgana is a white duck that typically has her smoky purple eyelids half-mast over her large green eyes and an amused, playful smile forming across her small, orange beak. She'll either have her hands at her shapely hips or typically at least has one arm raised to lift the tattered part of her dress that is looped around her last finger. When she's disappointed, she'll close her eyes and turn away with a frown. When she's around something that annoys her or frustrates her, she'll narrow her eyebrows over her half-lidded eyes with a frown to demonstrate that she's not pleased, or sometimes she'll cross her arms across her chest and have her fingers tap along her arm impatiently - a warning sign, which, if not adhered to, will eventually turn into anger with her teeth clenching with anger while her fists visibly shake at her sides in her attempts to hold back her anger until she'll finally zap the one that has angered her with magic.
Clothing style: Morgana always dresses in a form-fitting red dress with a high collar that has been lifted by her neck, padded shoulders underneath, and medium-length sleeves that extend to her elbows. She wears a golden necklace at the v-neck part of her dress, which starts as a tattered tunic just past her mid section and with the excess tattered fabric extending up to a ring of fabric in her last finger. Visibly beneath the tattered tunic is her dark red dress underneath that reaches past her feet, resulting in her feet never being visible.
Body build: Morgana has an hour glass shape and is taller than Darkwing and Negaduck, with them reaching her shoulders. She is very lightweight; anyone can easily carry her or pull her into anyone's arms without a problem.
Any unique traits (optional): Even while transformed, Morgana always appears with her signature hair and always wears her golden necklace.
Original character analysis (In your own words and please be thorough)
Personality:
Most notably, anyone could immediately note Morgana Macawber's peculiar personality. Being born in a family of monsters, she has a taste of dark, dismal decorations that include cobwebs, carnivorous plants, and skulls. She even enjoys the night, monster food, and creatures of the night, including: her familiars Archie the Spider, her bats Eek and Squeak, as well as her Ghost Hounds. Most importantly, Morgana favors the unusual in people that seem to have similar or more accepting tastes as her, as well as taking delight in creepy places, although she isn't opposed to romantic things or even the tunnel of love so long as it's with her boyfriend, Darkwing Duck. She will stop at insufferably cute animals, such as bunnies, however, though it'll never be enough to harm them in any way. Unfortunately, her monstrous and creepy sense of taste or style may be off-putting to "Normals," who aren't used to that sort of quirky feature.
After she met Darkwing Duck, however, the evil business woman found herself protecting the hero from her family members and even other villains. Although he certainly tried to get in the way of her schemes to pay back her student loans, she didn't want anyone messing with Darkwing Duck. The ambitious woman fell for the personality of that handsome duck from the very beginning, and was not shy about showing her affections to him even during her villainy. He was truly her soft spot in all of her plans, though it wasn't enough to let herself get caught by Darkwing Duck either. At least, not until Darkwing's persuasive words finally convinced her to reform on the side of heroism.
For the reformed business woman, the transition to heroism was not as easy as Darkwing made it seem. Of course, whenever Darkwing put her on the spot for joining him, Morgana tried to help for the sake of proving to Darkwing Duck that she was helpful, even if fighting villains as a former villainess was strange to her. As a hero, Morgana found herself missing the planning involved with being a villain, and Darkwing's manner of impulsively jumping into things and being quick on her feet was something far from what she was used to doing. Therefore, the transition to the lack of planning made it difficult to come up with the complex math involved with her spells on the spot or much less be confident enough to use them, which led to a lot of her spells turning out to be something far from what she had expected. She really had to work at it, and she wasn't successful all the time. The exception, of course, was if she were ever to see Darkwing in grave danger or if she were truly angry. Even on the side of heroes, Morgana had shown her temper on a few occasions, though Morgana will always warn the person she is with with her body language and expression of annoyance. When insulted, Morgana can be melodramatic and dismissive of insincere gestures, holding grudges until the problem has been solved. In fact, she will not sugarcoat anything, even on the brink of death; If anyone were to admit to being responsible for something, then she won't argue against that to make that person feel better if it's true, not even to Darkwing. Above all, Morgana really does try to be diplomatic when possible before her patience would exceed its limit; but if she's not listened to, even Morgana on the side of good had shown to be capable of clearing out an entire area with her explosive powerful magic out of anger, intimating everyone to listen to her and get along. Nonetheless, Morgana was always quick to return back into Darkwing Duck's affections within the same day once she has cooled down and Darkwing made up for it.
Regardless, whether a villainess or not, Morgana works well with others that are not judgmental and admires the unusual qualities in people. Despite her few experiences in dappling with heroics under the guidance of Darkwing Duck if only to protect him, Morgana would always work best where she is most confident in: a business setting, particularly attending to the Shadow Chateau restaurant that she recently opened in hopes of earning an honest means of paying off her student loans.
History:
Morgana Macawber was born in Transylvania to a once large, close-knit monster family of old money aristocracy at Castle Macawber. Her mother was a vampire, her uncle was a werewolf, and her grandfather was also a vampire, who bore the lineage of a Count; meanwhile, her father's side was more monstrous in form. When her mother, along with her mother's entire side of the family, were tragically perished by Normals attacking them in the great war against vampires, Morgana was the only one in the family that still carried her mother's genes; a constant reminder for her father, Moloculo, who became head of the Macawber Castle household ever since. As one that looked just like her mother, Morgana quickly became the rotten apple of her father's eye, and he made sure that nothing would ever happen to her. Fortunately, they weren't the only ones who resided in the castle, however. Her father's remaining side of the family still lived there, such as Aunt Nasty, cousin Globby, the conjoined twins Screamy and Meanie, as well as few others that remained. Moloculo's idea of Old World hospitality thereby included being very much against any Normals because of the great war and the general attacks against other monster relatives that have perished, such as Granny, Lady Janis, and Uncle Nero.
Although the young Morgana was always the quiet, studious one in the class while studying magic, she was also the silently ambitious one that always went after what she wanted, which also included unique boys that she wasn't used to seeing. Unfortunately, her father had other ideas. He wanted her to meet a nice ghoulish boy and raise a family of her own, but no one that she liked was good enough to date his daughter, which meant that he would scare everyone off! Everyone, except for a Normal. Her father's rules against Normals only fueled Morgana's rebellious nature to want to spend time with them all the more, and because Normals were not allowed in the castle, it meant that this Normal was not able to be scared off! It was perfect! He was perfect! Yet when she asked him to be her date for prom, she was sadly stood up when her date never showed! Morgana wasn't quite sure if whether the Normal did it or if her father had any hand in scaring the Normal away, but she officially had ENOUGH! If she couldn't be happy then no one will be, and Morgana's temper caused the entire prom dance area to be destroyed by her magic. The explosive result was one that her father would never forget to this very day, always comparing any moment that she would unleash her explosive temper to never being as bad as this moment in time.
After Morgana graduated from the Eldritch Academy of Enchantment like the rest of her family members had, she sadly had far too many student loans to bear that could not be paid off by a family that only had a reputable name, for old money meant no money to that name. This was especially so after scrounging for money to even be able to pay back reparations to the prom area, though Morgana didn't want to show her face to the Normal people in Transylvania again after that. Just her family.
Upon finding someone in her Hex of the Month Club that specialized in hexes and lived in a bayou area named Grammy Whammy, Morgana was inspired by the idea of living there. Of course, two people that specialized in hexes in the same place wouldn't do, and she was more inclined in being in the city for business purposes. Making a portal to the city closest to Grammy's bayou, she eventually created herself an establishment by the name of Macawber Manor in St. Canard. There, she sought to pay back her student loans by establishing a business of one of her most studied interests: Macawber Mushrooms Unlimited. Of course, she had to have her own committee to be president of in her company. Thus, with the use of her spellbook, Morgana reincarnated some of the souls of her deceased family members into mushrooms, including Granny, Lady Janis, and Uncle Nero; thereby, she had members of the board to help her with her business. Competition in the city just wouldn't cut it, however. The evil business woman quickly took out the competition of other mushroom vendors in her old fashioned way of doing things, and tried to monopolize herself as the only seller of mushrooms, to where St. Canard depended on her for it. Soon, Morgana planned on growing her business to overtake other businesses, whether it be skincare products or pizza businesses, though she would be drawn to hexing spells of sleep, hallucinations, or using fear in order to steal money out of desperation to get her student loans paid off. A financial debt was really overwhelming to someone that had such ambitions to invest, after all!
When it came to Normals in this world, Morgana really no longer cared about them as much as she used to. Perhaps her interest in them truly stemmed from her rebellion against her father's rules. Of course, there were always the few intriguing Normals that tried to enter her house on a whim or a dare, but that intrigue would fade away when they would immediately run away in fear because of the scary and creepy things in her haunted home. At least, until one of them continued forward despite all the scary and mind-boggling things he'd seen. It was the handsome and brave caped duck in purple that claimed to be the terror that flaps in the night, who truly intrigued Morgana. After dismissing her aggressive family members of her board, who tended to have the unfortunate side effect of having free-will, Darkwing Duck's charming and gallant manner of bowing with the introduction of his unusual name to her certainly piqued her interests. As a lady that always knew what she wanted, Morgana boldly took this creature of the night by the arm and gave the handsome duck a tour of all the rooms in the house in order to prove her innocence, finding him to be truly brave enough not to run out like all the others. By the time she finished giving him a tour of all the rooms and led him back outside to let him finish his investigation, Morgana was growing enamored by this unusual Normal. In fact, he even demonstrated a natural desire to actually protect her from the topping thieves. Morgana had seen nothing like it in a Normal before! It was almost everything she had wished for her prom date to be! It certainly brought the old, hopeless romantic side of her again that she never expected to feel again.
Unfortunately, the members of the board clearly were displeased with the likes of the hero poking about while they were trying to continue with the crime of stealing all the pizza toppings, so Morgana felt forced to dismiss him. She really did need to focus on finishing her plan of overtaking the market on pizza in the city. Besides, she had him eating right off of her hands; she really doubted that he would suspect her of being part of the theft. Sadly, that unfortunate side effect of "free will" was really starting to bear its toll on her when her family members of the committee would try to kill Darkwing and his Normal friend to eat them. Oh, but she couldn't let them do that, not when she was interested in Darkwing! It was only too bad Darkwing Duck had moral principals and believed in the light, which was too.. healthy!
Despite this, Morgana still couldn't see her handsome creature of the night be killed. As a result, she tricked her family into thinking that she turned Darkwing Duck into a zombie to help him and his Normal friend escape her family. The only reason she switched the lipstick was because she wanted him to willingly be with her. As it turned out, he did; and he managed to defeat her monstruous pizza mushrooms that her family members had unleashed in the end.
Oh, Darkwing did try to convince her to change, but unfortunately for him, Morgana wasn't about to allow herself to be caught as a criminal, so she disappeared along with her manor. After all her crimes since then, Morgana was the only criminal that never saw jail time, constantly escaping Darkwing in the end despite protecting him.
There was even one time she used a sleep hexing powder she borrowed from Nodoff to have all the sleepy people dump their money out the window for her to take in exchange for Nodoff to have his fun with them in his dream world. Everyone except to mess with Darkwing, of course. Unfortunately, Morgana was given the hex sleeping powder herself and revealed her romantic hopes for one day marrying Darkwing when told to think light, happy thoughts. After Darkwing managed to defeat Nodoff by having him in their powerless world, Morgana simply couldn't allow for Darkwing to know that any of those secrets revealed were real, so she put the sleeping powder on him and had him sent to his friend, so that he could be taken to sleep. That way, he would wake up thinking it was all a dream and never know it was real in the first place!
Throughout all the crimes the evil business woman committed afterwards and escaped from, however, Darkwing Duck still tried to get through to her and have her change to the side of good. Perhaps it was clear to him that she had feelings for him with the way that she always protected him against villains, or whenever she'd steal a kiss from him in secret. Still, Morgana found it very hard to be good when being bad was too rewarding! Student loans really don't pay themselves, you know!
In the end, Darkwing Duck's stubbornness won, of course. He had successfully reformed her. He finally managed to convince her to work on paying back her student loans through an honest business. She also did want to prove to him that her love for him was real and true. As things turned official in their relationship, Morgana was entrusted to learn Darkwing Duck's secret identity as Drake Mallard, single father to her spirited daughter, Gosalyn, whom she liked right away. Their relationship had it's realistic ups and downs, to be sure, where Darkwing had to learn to trust her despite her villainess past. It was also tough on Morgana's end when, during one of her family visits through the portal, she was forced to face what she had been long avoiding: her family meeting her Normal boyfriend. Darkwing, Gosalyn, and Launchpad had gone through the portal door in her home to Transylvania, and her father, Moloculo, was not happy to see Normals at his castle, of course. Her father tried to scare Darkwing Duck away with the Old World hospitality, the way he usually tried to do to all her other boyfriends. Yet Darkwing stood his ground, the first boyfriend (and Normal) to do that. It seemed that her father had finally met his match in stubbornness as well. Both refused to see eye to eye, however, and Darkwing ended up causing Launchpad, Gosalyn, and her own boyfriend to be turned into monsters for a day. Well, her boyfriend being a werewolf wasn't quite what she had expected this all to turn out to be - her father should just accept her boyfriend for who he is! It didn't make matters better when NEITHER side listened to her idea of talking to the villagers to work out a compromise! Morgana really did try to convince the two sides to take on her diplomatic route, but the resuling battle between the villagers and the monsters lead Morgana to officially lose patience and she zapped everyone in sight and intimidated them to listen to her diplomatic idea or ELSE! Well, needless to say, they finally listened, and everything was at peace again with the villagers.
Upon returning back to St. Canard through the portal again, Morgana resumed running a new business and opened up a Monster Food restaurant called The Shadow Chateau. Despite Darkwing's reservations on her creepy restaurant and her monster food, Morgana seemed to win over most people with her monster food, including Gosalyn, Launchpad, several customers including Drake's friendly neighbors, the Muddlefoots, and even the harsh food critic. As owner of the respectable business, with her cousin Globby being the waiter and her Aunt Nasty as the cook, Morgana was finally paying back her student loans the honest way. At least until Darkwing nearly ruined her chances with her restaurant being successful to the critic when he invited bunnies to her restaurant. Upon re-opening her restaurant again, Morgana hoped to prove to the critic that the Shadow Chateau restaurant was FAR from that spectacle that he had just witnessed with the squid or the bunnies. Unfortunately, just as opened the doors to her restaurant, Morgana Macawber found herself in the World of Disney.
Ambitions:
Trying to maintain a long-term relationship with her boyfriend, Darkwing Duck
Proving herself to be good and paying off her student loans the legal way now through a respectable business
Strengths & abilities:
Not afraid of her own death or ghosts and is more accepting of death for others as long as its done the natural way and not by anyone's hand
Complex mental math - this is the basis of how Morgana does her magic *
Magic spells: She has the ability of changing the weather to cloudy, foggy, rainy, stormy, to even a calm night. Elemental Magic: She can create fire, ice, and electricity with her magic. Transformation spells: Can transform people to animals, monsters, to even pudding; this also includes changing sizes and shapes. With a snap of her fingers, she can free herself or anyone from cuffs or chains. She has the ability to create with her magic, such as creating a new animal, monster, or object out of thin air. She can also teleport herself or objects and manipulate them in the air, such as pouring an object onto someone. She can also make herself and her Macawber Manor disappear or reappear at will. She can create portals to various realms, including her own home in Transylvania. She can transfer ghosts/spirits of others into objects, such as a plant or a mushroom. When she's really angry, even after reforming to be a hero, Morgana will surround herself with magical energy that turns green and red then shoot herself up in the air like she was on a fiery column of cloudy smoke, while creating swirling storm clouds all around the area and then sending large bursts of lightning from her hands to fry anyone destroy everything in a large area.
Can summon and talk to animals or creatures of the night, such as monsters, bats, spiders, rats, owls, and even her ghost hounds.
The horde of bats that she summons are strong enough to lift a person
Ghost Hounds are capable of bringing a solid object through a wall
Tries to be diplomatic before resorting to extreme, violent measures out of anger and intimidating anyone to get along
Has better aim when confident or angry
Experienced in owning a business as well as coming up with her own business ideas
Alumni of Eldritch Academy of Enchantment & recently published a thesis paper: "Warts and Boils: Medieval Hexes Redefined for a New Age" *
As a former villainess who attended the Supervillain Convention in Florida, she knows how most villains think, which led her to find Negaduck all on her own shortly before Darkwing could
Planner - As a former evil business woman, Morgana is better at the scheming/planning part of villainy than thinking on her feet
Flaws:
Can have an explosive temper, which will involve being zapped with her magic to even the likes of Darkwing if he deserves it
Holds grudges until the problem has been resolved, will even zap flowers or anything you give her until you genuinely fix the mistake to make certain that it doesn't happen again
Sensitive & Melodramatic when insulted - may end up "breaking up" when she's really upset from being insulted, but she's receptive to "making up" after cooling down
Darkwing has always been her weakness, ever since she first met him
She's new to heroics and needs someone to guide her through it; she's better at being a business woman than a heroine. She's better as a villainess than a heroine (don't tell her that). Morgana is not good at the part of heroics that consists of jumping into things and thinking on her feet.
Can be insecure and have bad aim when put on the spot, especially around Darkwing in trying to prove herself to him, unless she's angry (then she'll have near perfect aim). Her insecurities when put on the spot can also cause her magic to fail and turn out to be different than she expected, resulting in a completely opposite transformation than anticipated (You try doing complex mental math on the spot in a stressful situation!)
Needs concentration for spells to work, sometimes needs to close her eyes to do so (concentrating on anything with her Darkwing around makes that even harder to do)
Not as quick to cast spells on agile people that can dodge like Negaduck, Liquidator, etc.
Spells can easily be deflected and sent back to affect her with the use of a mirror or any kind of reflection
Needs to look up Reverse Counterspells in her spellbook to change someone or herself (if reflected) back to normal if it's a new transformation she hadn't done before, which requires a few minutes of consulting her spellbook
Cannot do spells when hands are tied to where she's not able to flick her wrists. She can still do spells in handcuffs if there's room to flick her wrists
She cannot perform reincarnation, but she can transfer the ghost spirit into a mushroom. However, they have the unfortunate side effects of having their own free will and will also turn back into mushrooms when given light.
Cannot teleport to unknown place unless creating a portal, which requires special ingredients for the spell. Even then, the portal may not work against the magic in Disney world, so it could be a "warped" or alternate universe of a world without the character's existence.
Cannot physically run very fast, she practically drags her feet because of her long dress (but she teleports, if needed)
Lacks physical strength and could easily be dragged, pulled, or pushed around (but she can throw one heck of a punch, though this is rare)
Her monstrous/creepy sense of taste or style may be off-putting to "Normals," who aren't used to that sort of quirky feature
Will not sugarcoat anything, even on the brink of death. If you admit to being responsible for something, then she won't argue against that to make you feel better if it's true. Not even to Darkwing.
Likes:
Lovey dovey nicknames, romantic things, gestures, and affection including hugs, kisses, and necking (only with her boyfriend Darkwing)

Owning her monster food restaurant: The Shadow Chateau (translation: shadow castle)
Her monster family

Dislikes:
Being seen/judged as the villainess she once was
Bunnies and other "insufferably cute" animals (not enough to hurt them though and will defend them against a villain)
Being put on the spot while doing heroics or something she is new to doing unless Darkwing is under threat of being seriously hurt
Anyone messing with Darkwing Duck, including other villains she worked with (as a villainess) or her own family
Anyone wanting to create love potions from her spellbook - She believes that true love should never be forced
Anyone that hurts a creature of the night, like stepping on spiders
Anyone who corrupts the innocent
Daytime/ Light, but she'll appear in the daylight with her own moisturizer brand
Anyone being rude, pigheaded, or judgmental
Arguing with Darkwing
Not being listened to / being told to be quiet
Normals that judge her for her monstrous tastes, including Darkwing
That her family hates Normals and tries to eat them
Darkwing sharing their private things like the little nip she gives while necking with him, especially in front of her overprotective father
When her magic spells don't go according to plan
Fears:
Anyone hurting Darkwing or Gosalyn
Being hunted by a normal because of the monster world she is a part of, as well as her family
Being helpless to help someone in time
Returning to a life of crime and disappointing Darkwing
Never paying off her student loans
Darkwing leaving her for someone else
Anything to add?:
*Taken from Hot Spells episode.
Director said in an interview that they intended Morgana and Darkwing to marry and have kids, so that's why I'm maintaining that they have a long term relationship.
If it's allowed, I also thought if her Macawber Manor house would appear along with her since she can make the house disappear and reappear. It can be a plot device or a fun haunted house for characters to explore at their own risk lol Due to interference with the magic of Disney World, portal rooms will only be alternate universes of worlds, but not the actual places that they are in St. Canard, so the people there will not be recognized any of the characters that are supposed to pertain to that place. For example, the portal to the monster world in Transylvania will not have any of Morgana's family members there.
Transformation spells will usually be up to the other rper if they work or if they fail, though I may also intentionally have it go awry depending on the situation and have the spell turn someone into something else entirely for comedic effect.
