Alright, maybe boats were not that bad.
The sky was clear, bright Caribbean cyan just slightly lighter than the sea, mercilesly parted in two by the ship of titan(ic) proportions. He had heard about the big human cities, towns so large that made the small fishing town of Portorosso look like a small neighbourhood, and definitely didn't believe in such badly made-up stories. However, not even Alberto could deny what his own filn could touch: This ship certainly made even the largest of land cities look like a gold-fish next to a whale-shark. He got in through the large, fancy atrium like everyone else, received one of those well-drawn maps like everyone else, got distracted by the scent of human food like everyone else... And was now utterly lost like everyone else also seemed to be.
Did they really expect someone as cool as him to pay attention to maps and floors and bows and sterns? Alright, maybe he should be familiar with these as he was kind of a fisherman, but 'should be' is very different from just 'was'.
The end result? He had swimming trunks on, a towell over his shoulders, and a confusion all over his eyes as he stared at the elevators and their lobby. He had used them before. He knew he had to get into one to reach the swimming pools (they said it is sweet water! a whole current of it!), but he was honeslty unsure if they should be on the botton of the ship or on the top!\. If they were close to the bottom, he rationalized, the sweet water might get mixed with salt water. If they were too high, it would certainly be a pain to bucket all that water up there. A full hand scratched his own scalp under the curly hair locks as wave after wave of humans crashed at the wall full of doors, number and buttons that acted as the lift hub for the entire floating village.
Humans were complicated folks.
