Who am I? Just a conscience!
Introduce yourself
Hey, howdy, hey! The name's FloTheJungleDal, and I wished upon a star from this site. My other characters include Mowgli, Little John, Patch, Heckler (322), Nakoma, Professor Martin Torque, Toughy, and Flower. Boots and I are so very eager to join the Worlds of Disney circle of life!
Character basics
Character name: Boots
Age: 5 months
Species: Cat
Birthplace: An animal shelter in New York City
Movie: Chip ‘N Dale Rescue Rangers
Custom title: Kookoo’s Best Friend
Why'd you pick this character? I’d like to find another one-shot character from another Disney show to give some growth to. He’s also cute, especially when he was tied up.
Character appearance (try to get at least 2 or 3 sentences for each section)
Hair description: Boots has no head hair like that of a human. However, he does have purplish-gray fur with a tuft on his head, with the fur on his mouth and nose area and on his chest and belly area in a lighter shade of that same color, and the fur on his right eye and on the tip of his tail in black.
Facial description/mood/expressions: A majority of Boots’s face is covered in purplish-gray fur, with the fur on his mouth and nose area in a lighter shade of that color, and a black patch of fur on his right eye (but not on his right eyelid). He has yellowish-brown eyes, a dark pink nose, two whiskers near the left and right side each of his nose, and buck teeth. Most often, he feels happy and excited, and he expresses happiness and excitement. He sometimes feels and expresses fear, shock, playfulness, and worry. He very rarely feels sad or mad, and when he does, it’s when he has gotten kidnapped and held hostage by Fat Cat and his gang and has heard that something bad has happened to Kookoo, his gorilla friend.
Clothing style: As Boots is a feral cat, he doesn’t wear any clothes like a human does. Even after he has gotten adopted, he doesn’t wear a cat collar or anything that shows he has an owner.
Body build: Boots is the size of an average kitten. He keeps his shape the way it is by playing games with Kookoo, eating food provided for him by the scientist who owns him (and Fat Cat and his gang just to keep him alive in order to get Kookoo to cooperate with them), and running around places in New York City with the Rescue Rangers, trying to reunite with Kookoo.
Any unique traits (optional): None.
Original character analysis (In your own words and please be thorough)
Personality:
Boots is a playful little kitten who likes to be with Kookoo and play with her. Being as young as he is, he shows off his playfulness in even the wrong times, such as when he sees a paper bag on a sidewalk and hides in it when he was supposed to head back with the Rescue Rangers to the lab where he lives with Kookoo and the Professor. He does, however, also show off his playfulness as a way of distracting some villains during a rescue, such as when he taunts Fat Cat’s gang when he is in a candy factory with Chip, Gadget, Monty, and Zipper to rescue Dale.
He is also very sweet, particularly to Kookoo, as not only does he like to play with her and always be with her, but he also likes to pick flowers for her, knowing that she likes flowers. Actually, if he can, he will do or give Kookoo anything he can just to be nice and make her happy.
He also has a tendency to get easily distracted by things that really catch his interest, such as flowers to pick for Kookoo or paper bags to hide in. Sometimes, when he gets distracted, something dangerous will come his way, such as when he crosses the street without looking both ways as a truck approaches. Fortunately, he never gets hurt by any dangerous things whenever he gets distracted. Not only that, but he always has someone like the Rescue Rangers to talk him out of the distraction in question and get him refocused on the important task at hand. Because of all this, his tendency to get lucky that he is still alive and not even hurt from harm’s way adds to his tendency to get easily distracted.
History:
Boots was born into a family consisting of a mother cat and five other kittens on the streets in New York City. When he was two months old, his mother got very sick and passed away shortly afterwards, while he and his siblings were taken to an animal shelter.
A few months later, Boots was adopted by a scientist who owned a gorilla named Kookoo and was given a research grant to prove that gorillas could rescue people in trouble. When Boots was brought to the scientist’s laboratory and first met Kookoo, he was nervous, but he quickly became comfortable around her and became friends with her when she saw how kind, caring, and friendly she was. From there, the kitten was shown the many toys that the gorilla had, how to play with them, what games to play, and how to play them by her. He had a lot of fun playing with her and getting to know her during the few days he lived with her.
After a few days of living with Kookoo in the laboratory, Boots got kidnapped by Fat Cat and his gang in the middle of the night and held hostage by them in their hideout, a factory called the Happy Tom Cat Food Company. While kept in the factory, Boots was bound and gagged by Fat Cat’s gang, while Fat Cat recited a note for Mole to write in order to blackmail Kookoo into stealing diamonds in the city, particularly the hopelessly big diamond owned by Lady Clutchcoin. He was rescued by the Rescue Rangers, with Chip and Zipper untying him and Gadget and Monty using a device to make cans of tuna fall on Fat Cat’s gang to keep them from chasing after the kitten and the Rescue Rangers.
After being rescued and having left the cat food factory, Boots made his way back to the laboratory, with a couple of distractions getting in the way and the Rescue Rangers getting him to focus on getting back there to Kookoo. When Boots returned to the laboratory with the Rescue Rangers, however, they found that Kookoo was gone. So, he searched the city with the Rescue Rangers for Kookoo, and when the Rescue Rangers found the gorilla stealing from one of the jewelry stores, the kitten didn’t see her that time, as he was distracted by a runaway ring and playing at the wrong time. He was refocused by the Rescue Rangers, and they all followed Kookoo to a candy factory where Fat Cat and his gang were and had Dale held hostage.
Boots helped the Rescue Rangers rescue Dale from Fat Cat’s gang just after Kookoo left the candy factory to go to Lady Clutchcoin’s party and steal the woman’s hopelessly big diamond. After the rescue, the kitten and the Rescue Rangers went up the building where Lady Clutchcoin’s party was taking place in, trying to stop Kookoo from stealing the diamond when they got to the roof, with the only way to stop the gorilla was to have her see that the young feline and Dale were both safe. So, Boots and Dale flew on paper planes made by Gadget towards Kookoo, and they were able to reach her, despite Mepps having been thrown at them by Fat Cat.
The kitten was happy that not only did he get reunited with Kookoo, but that his best friend saved Lady Clutchcoin from falling off the building, which proved the scientist that gorillas could be trained to rescue people. Because of this, the scientist didn’t lose the research grant, Kookoo wasn’t sent back to the jungle where she came from, and, with Fat Cat and his gang ending up trashed (literally), Boots went back with Kookoo and the scientist to the laboratory where he would be safe and have more fun playing with his gorilla friend, and no longer have anything bad happen to them for a long, long time…
…or so he thought.
After a crazy night of rescues, Boots fell asleep in Kookoo’s hands on the way back to the laboratory and remained in a deep sleep after he was taken back there. Several hours later, he woke up and found himself not in the laboratory, but in a place that looked like a lot of fun, and where he was once again separated from Kookoo, leaving him to wonder if he should be worried about being taken away from home and from his best friend again or excited about being in a place full of fun things to do, see, and discover.
Ambitions:
Boots has one ambition, and that is to find and reunite with Kookoo. Of course, that will be hard to do with him getting easily distracted by anything he sees in the park that he may like.
Strengths & abilities:
As Boots is just a kitten, he is not strong in the physical sense. However, he can use his playful behavior to distract enemies to help friends or allies rescue those in trouble. He also has the ability to, despite having paws instead of hands, form a fist, especially around something to hold or pick up. He can also immediately listen to friends or allies and do as they tell him without question, hide in small spaces, keep himself completely hidden and quiet to keep from being caught by enemies, and exhibiting genuine enthusiasm and energy when playing games or hearing someone suggest a game to play.
Flaws:
Because Boots is a kitten who is not strong in the physical sense, he’s not able to get himself free when he is caught or tied up by enemies, no matter how hard he tries. He is also unable to keep himself focused on an important matter, as he easily gets distracted by something that catches his interest, and is unable to get himself refocused on said important matter; because of this, he has a tendency to play at the wrong times. And speaking of times, he keeps mistaking small amounts of time for very large amounts of time, such as mistaking one day for forever when it comes to how long it has been since he has last played any games.
Likes:
Being with Kookoo, seeing Kookoo happy, picking flowers for Kookoo, playing games, paper bags
Dislikes:
Being away from Kookoo, seeing Kookoo sad, anyone blackmailing Kookoo to steal or commit any other crimes, being kidnapped, being tied up
Fears:
Something bad happening to Kookoo or any other friends of his, car accidents, kidnappings
Anything to add?:
None.
