Sabor’s teeth chattered with glee, her white tail tip thrashing incessantly. At last, at long last, she had found a primate unprotected with glass or keeper!
It was a troop of several young males, subadults. They scented somewhat like vervet monkeys— clearly members of the family Cercopithecinae — and she had heard humans call them the "Silver Spring rhesus macaques."
They were no Platyrrhini new world monkey, true, but hey, she would take what should could. Frankly, after feeding mainly on the Norway rats, she would have been happy with a mere potto…
Best of all? She had somehow found her lair! True, it still had the wretched Greystoke nest in it, but she could make out her favorite perches!
It was like something out of a dream— perhaps she even would find her leap next! How Sabor missed them all, especially her dear cubs and handsome Nuru…
She stalked closer and closer through the branches of a neighboring tree that had somehow grown up near hers. If she wasn’t so focused on the rhesus macaques, perhaps she would have questioned where this new tree had come from: how could a newly grown reach so high?
Sabor was paid no mind to such concerns: later she would also question why so many sad humans were swarming around the tree’s based, holding up those flashing stones she heard were call cell phones.'
Or, for that matter, why there were were strange sail-like coverings around her, and skeletal vines around her tree...
OOC: Heh, meant for this to be one of the bomb threads-- originally the macaques were going to be squabbling over one of the bombs (much as I hate to admit it, took me this long to think of a plot ^^").
No matter-- I've always wanted to have Sabor go to Tarzan's Treehouse, and since Disney recently closed the treehouse (officially reported April 2022, although it's apparently been "down for repairs" since September 2021 ), I figure now's as good a time as any.
