Phillip had turned back from his conversation with the spirit to find Maleficent had slithered off somewhere, "wait a minute, where did that evil creature go now?" he exclaimed, looking around he saw the native woman still firing arrows at the goblins and the building burning up.
He heard a loud crashing sound outside and a girl's scream, followed by the frantic neighing of a horse, "the girl, that monster has the child!" Phillip rushed across the room, "get out of here as quickly as you can," he shouted to the native woman as he head for the broken door.
"This whole place is going to come down!"
Jumping through the broken remains of the wooden doors, Phillip looked out from the entrance way to see his horse slowly backing away from a tall shadow standing in the middle of the courtyard, the lightning flash and he saw Maleficent holding up the struggling girl in the nightgown by her throat.
"Soon, you shall be one of five of young princesses, how does that sound? We wouldn't want Prince Philip to take that away from you, though ..."
Phillip galloped down the stairs and siding up to the evil witch pointed his sword at her, "put the girl down now Maleficent, she is not going to be a pawn in your evil desires," he ordered, his brown eyes looking up at the frightened girl who was looking back down at him with fear.
A youth's breaking voice called out over the sound of thunder, Phillip looked up to see a green clad, red haired boy in a feathered hat soaring above their heads.
"Wendy?" The boy called out, Phillip guessed he was addressing the girl in Maleficent's grasp as his light brown eyes were affixed on her. The flying boy, dressed in green tights, landed on the ground near Phillip and took out his knife.
"What's going on? Is it Hook?"
Phillip looked down at the boy and put a hand on his shoulder, "put the knife away boy, it will be no use against the witch," he said kindly, the youth jumped at his touch and pointed the knife instead at him.
The look in the boy's eyes suggested that Phillip was just as likely to be an enemy as the evil fairy who had Wendy in her clutches, like he was at fault for just being something.
Aurora had mentioned a magical flying boy, often with a fairy, frequented this place, one who never wanted to grow up and had a fear of men, it must be this boy for he was looking at him very doubtfully.
Phillip smiled kindly, "I won't hurt you lad, I'm not a evil person, I'm a Prince, I've defeated this villain who has your Wendy before." He turned back to look poignantly at Maleficent, "put the girl down."
