Introduce yourself.[/ul]
character basics.[/ul]
Age: 19
Species: Mermaid
Birthplace: Atlantica
Movie: The Little Mermaid, The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning, and the old TV series
Title: Princess of Atlantica, fourth in line to the throne behind her sisters Attina, Andrina, and Aquata. (Followed by Adella, Alana, and then Ariel) Umm... unless you mean something else by "title"?
Why: Arista was kinda always my favourite of Ariel's sisters, since my childhood psychotic love of the tv series, and then when Ariel's Beginning came out, I flat-out adored the art for Arista. Though... I guess that's not the real reason xD Though I love Arista, I figure I'm killing two birds with one stone by taking her up. I've known ArizonaBlaze, my dear Arikinz, for a long while now and I've seriously missed RPing with her. So why not take up one of Ariel's sisters? One of which I just so happen to adore x3 Oh... and I also happen to be naturally TERRIFIED of screwing up characters I play (I panic easily... about a lot of different things... Word to the wise, don't PM me. I always panic and think I'm in trouble when I see I have a PM xD), so I figure it'd be best not to take up a main character, y'know?

Character appearance (try to get at least 2 or 3 sentences for each section)[/ul]
Facial description/mood expressions: Arista has a heart shaped face, with a cute little chin and small nose a little between her large and expressional seafoam blue eyes. Her expressions are very easy to read off her face, contorting her adorable face to match her emotions without ever realizing she's doing so. Her body language usually follows along with the expressions read on Arista's face.
Clothing style: Clothing style? Well, considering the only clothing she's ever worn before would be her red seashell bra, and when she was younger, the equally as red tube-top, it's hard so assume what Arista would like, however, i'd assume she'd be one for loose, flowy clothing. Nothing restricting, though a tight top or two would be fine, but most definitely not pants. She's never had legs before, getting used to them will be difficult enough, the feel of pants encasing her new limbs might be a liiiittle too strange a feeling for Arista, she'll likely stick to her dresses and skirts. Though It goes without saying the color red is her favroite and she'll refuse to wear any color but red. Though a red top with a black mermaid skirt would look nice on her... Though she'll likely have an extreme dislike of shoes.
Body build: Like her mermaid sisters, Arista is a curvaceous beauty. The slightest tan dusts her wonderful hourglass figure and long, graceful limbs. When her fishtail turns to legs, those legs are long, lean and wonderful, much like her torso and arms. Think model-like, but with bigger chest, a cuter face, and a cute little bottom to match!
Any unique traits (optional) : Unique physical traits? Well... her pale hair and slight tan make her physically unique among her sisters, does that count?

Original character analysis. (Everything must be in your own words! Please be thorough.)[/ul]
When people simply see her in passing or don't take very long getting to know her before assuming her personality, Arista is your stereotyped dumb blonde. She can be a liiiittle clueless every now and then, asking questions with obvious answers or wondering why it's still dark out when she's forgotten to remove her sleeping mask. However, Arista may surprise you with her intelligence. When coming up with a plan, Arista is actually very crafty. She sees the world in a slightly different light, and as such, finds herself understanding things some people would deem too complicated for her intelligence. Somehow, though she may fail to notice the obvious from time to time, her brain power is in no way lacking.
Arista is very... well, one way to put it could be emotional. She's quick to worry and panic if she can't find something or one, or something's gone a little unaccording to plan, she's easily excitable when given the slightest reason to be, and she also enjoys taking the belongings of her other sisters from time to time to tease them, as her own way of playing around and showing she cares, which usually is a prime source of entertainment for her beloved sisters. She loves them all very dearly, though she's closest with Aquata (hence why it's usually Aquata's belongings she's taking)
However, though Arista may take the belongings of her sisters, she gets rather upset when her own are taken without her knowledge. She's a little possessive of her things and can definitely through a princess-level fit when she can't find something she's looking for. She can hold grudges from time to time, though they usually last no longer than a few hours before she and the person she's mad at (commonly one of her sisters) make up once again.
There's one other thing about Arista. She's got a little of a jealous streak. A long while before Ariel ever met Eric, Ariel and Arista had a bit of a... urm... disagreement. Which had them "beached" (grounded) from going to a carnival with the rest of their sisters. Instead, they spent the day protecting the castle from two crocodiles trying to steal the royal treasure. During the whole ordeal, Arista admitted to being jealous of Ariel and all the adventures she went on, both admitting they thought the other didn't like them. The relationship between them approved exponentially after the event, and Ariel had promised to take Arista on an adventure with her in the future. Something Arista is still looking forward to.
History:
Arista had a happy childhood at the beginning of her life. Before her mother died, life was wonderful and every day was filled with fun and laughter. All the sisters were close and everything was beautiful and filled with music. When their mother died and their father banned music from the kingdom, things got very dull. Their father was cold and distant, despite the fact they saw him daily, and the sisters themselves started to drift apart, each falling into their own little world. Alana with her obsession with beauty, Adella with her boy-craze, Andrina, chasing everyone off with her snark, and Arista didn't like it. So in her own stubble way, she tried to keep a little laughter between her sisters, and she did this with her failure to notice the obvious and slight kleptomania. It was okay if they all thought she was an idiot, as long as they were all smiling and giggling about it, Arista was happy.
But after a few years, Ariel managed to really fix things. She had managed to find music again and bring Arista and their sisters to a club so they could dance and hear the beautiful music, and Arista got to play with the band as well, she seemed to have a knack for woodwinds. And then Ariel truly brought back music to Atlantica, by going so far as to nearly die for the sake of their father's anniversary present to their mother the day she died. And Arista was a slight bit jealous. Not of the glory from it, but that Ariel was brave enough to go through all the trouble, break every rule and their father's wrath when none of the rest of them would dare.
Life went on, and it amazed Arista, how Ariel just kept finding trouble without meaning to. She was a little jealous of her adventurous little sister, and without meaning to, it somehow put a rift between them as the years went by. But that quickly changed after defending their home and family treasure from two thieving crocodiles. The two sisters were close after that, Arista getting a promise out of her youngest sister to take her on an adventure some time in the future.
More time passed, and Ariel was late for a concert once again. It wasn't surprising, it happened often enough, though Arista and some of their sisters tried to cover up for the youngest of them when she was running late. Today was not one of those days though.
Not long after that whole ordeal, Ariel was missing. And not the usual missing, but days-on-end missing. Arista panicked, being as easy to panic as she was, but the ever-bossy Attina was quick to focus the sisters and try to find their youngest sister while cover up her missing presence from their father. The sisters did a wonderful job, managing to hide it from their father for quite some time, but soon enough the king found out, and all the sisters were in trouble for not telling their father as soon as they realized their youngest was missing. But that quickly became the least of their worries.
Triton confronted Ursula but in the end, the sisters lost their father for Ariel's freedom. However, during the whole ordeal, the sisters themselves were hurrying around the palace, looking for something that might help deal with the sea-witch. During her searching, Arista came across a door she had never seen before. And she knew each and every room in the palace. It was very dark, but Arista had no doubt there must be some light-source inside the room, so she went in.
And the door shut behind her.
What happened after that is all a bit of a blur to Arista. One minute, she was under the sea in her home, the palace, and the next... She was...
Was...
Where was she?!
The water she was in wasn't fresh, but instead laced with some kind of chemical which Arista could hardly stand. The bottom of the thing was hard and smooth, like pearls, but not. Much like the walls of the thing actually. Imagine Arista's shock to find herself in a wave pool among human children. She was frightened, and panicked, and swam deep to the bottom of the pool, only for one of her fins to get sucked into the metal grates among the bottom, which covered heavy machinery, causing the unnatural waves. She managed to tug her poor tail free, but she still finds herself in a state of panic, wondering where she is, bu more importantly, how she could possibly get home.

RP SAMPLE:
Arista was beached.
Not beached as in stuck in the castle for misbehaving, but beached as in… well…
Beached!
Like a beached whale, Arista was stuck on land… But even that wasn’t the correct word for it, this land was hard, flat, and smooth. So very cool to the touch… but that was likely due to the lack of sun.
The moon swayed overhead and Arista frowned at the sight of it. Or rather, frowned at the fact that it had no effect on the body of water before her. The moon was a wonderful and magical thing, with how it pulled at the waves of the clear and pure ocean. That puddle she had wound up in made her lungs dry and gills shrivel. A poor example of wonderful, crystal pure waves of the ocean.
She lay there, some ways away from that sickening liquid, because she could do nothing else.
Unless you counted using her arms to pull herself places as something to do, but that seemed a little pointless.
She was ready to give up. She was beyond terrified by all the humans. Never had she seen so many in one place before! She felt disoriented and very, very lost. The only thought on her mind was getting home. But how would she possibly accomplish that?! She had no idea where she was in the first place, secondly she had no idea of how she had gotten… wherever she was….
Tears welded up in the young mermaid princess’s eyes. She was tired. All the swimming about she had been doing previously, and then the panic of all the humans suddenly, and then that… Thing that had tried to eat her tail! It was all too much for one day. Arista wanted to rest, and lying there on the cold, hard… “Ground” only had Arista missing the palace and her warm and cozy bed all the more.
She covered her eyes with her hands and started to cry. She wanted to go home! She wanted to wake up and to find this was all some horrible nightmare! She missed her sisters, she missed her daddy, she missed her bed, she missed the ocean water, she missed…
She missed…
Everything!
She was so scared, so alone, she didn’t know what to do, she needed direction… she missed Attina, she would know what to do! Attina always knew what to do…
Her crying grew. Her father! Was he alright?! Had her sisters found something to help? Had Ursula taken over all of Atlantica? Her tears shook her lithe frame. She sat up then, hunched over and remained sobbing. It had become too difficult to cry while laying on her back, her tears and sobs had started to choke her. She could feel her tail and skin were almost completely dried, and the fear that came along with it only added to her waterworks. She had never been completely dried before! It was unheard of, but most assumed one would simply die if that were the case. Was this how she was going to die?! Stranded and scared and alone?!
Apparently, what she feared was not the case.
When her tail completely dried, it mimicked the glow of the moonlight before slowly growing in brightness until it became too much for Arista to bear, forcing her to shield her eyes. Her tail felt… funny… Oh dear Poseidon! What was happening to her tail?! Fright consumed Arista once more as a scream to match it ripped its way through her lungs, up her throat, and out through her voluminous and pouty ruby red lips. Her scream rung out through the air, high in pitch and ear-piercing. The sheer volume of it reaching across a great distance from the petite mermaid whom released the fright-filled, banshee-like wail of terror. Her almond-shaped, bright blue doe-eyes wrenched tightly shut as she screamed, her whole body coiling tightly around herself as she screamed and screamed until, at last, she could scream no more.
Some time lost among her screams, the glow and the odd feeling from her fins had gone. Her tail didn’t feel quite right… actually…
She cracked her eyes open in shock. Why did her single lower limb suddenly not feel like a single limb anymore?!
She stared down at her ruby red tail, only to find it was no longer a tail at all. She… She had legs?! The long and lean limbs stretched out before her, a small gold anklet clasped around the ankle of her mostly bare left leg. A soft, shiny material, the exact same color as her tail had been, covered her other leg, as well as the place where her legs attached. The material tied shut at her left hip and from its top to her upper thighs, was a solid material, then from there it slowly gained in transparency until it was just a red haze about her ankles.
At this site, Arista fainted.
It had been one shock too many. Much too much to handle in one day, and finally, her tail turning to legs was one shock too many, and much too soon. It was much too much on her poor mind, so she finally fell asleep under a starless night sky.
