[[ooc: I shall open this up to aid given the poor panther or amusement just taken at him/aid to the boys if any wish after getting Bagheera into his little spot]]
Every small corner of this strange new place seemed vastly different, as Bagheera could already tell through his explorations of even just this more overgrown, still jungle part. The smaller cat, Sgt. Tibbs, had not been wrong and Man had taken over all but every inch of the place and yet majority of them left at night and none seemed troubled by this. All beyond confounding, but even more so was this section the panther had just stumbled upon of creatures that seemed to rival Hathi in size and Shere Khan in teeth in some instances!
No discernible smell and he had yet to pick up much to any movement yet had just started making about what outskirts of trees and such there was to observe before being observed as suited him so well in figuring out situations.
So, Bagheera had yet to identify out true animals vs. the odd not moving ones as many of the big creatures he saw were and as their lack of smell explained. It was gut reaction of common decency then, not logic, that propelled the panther forward to what suddenly struck him as impending danger and three small Man Cubs about to be swallowed whole by one of the giant, teeth ridden predators!
It could swallow the panther next if it took a mind, and Bagheera still wasn't sure what persuasion he could use to both of their effects, but he had to try! Champion of the Helpless as he was becoming known for and these Man Cubs seeming quite young.
"E-excuse me! If you would desist and ponder a moment, I'm sure better prey could be..."
Just as the panther leapt from one of his tree perches to before the massive creature, poised to dodge if need be, the sense struck him of many things being off and odd about what he had at first thought a normal situation...and he would only learn he was correct in that.
