Kronk's interest was piqued by the United Kingdom. A strange, almost ominous name, contrasting the actual size it seemed to have, not being larger nor more significant than the other showcases. Sounded like it was somehow... special, though. There would be a palace, quite small... he was at least smart enough to know it was all some kind of replica, by now. The cottages that lined the area felt more familiar, but at the same time strange. Different material, different look. In fact it reminded him of his wife when they first met.
With all the buildings, what really caught Kronk's attention was... the phone booths. Bright red, two booths and an open stand in the middle. Some kind of case with a sign on it next to it. Examining the phone itself, it was a heavy material, with another material connecting it all up. He pressed a few numbers of the keypad, seeing what it did... nothing, though. Like everything else, they were some kind of replica. "This whole place is like, a giant model."
Basil of Baker Street strolled through the World Showcase, namely the section dedicated to dear Old England. This area of the parks was not so pleasant to him as one might think. In fact, it mostly served to make him homesick. But it was the only place a chap could get a decent steak and kidney pie.
It was that worthy comestible that drew the mouse here this day, though his afternoon meal would have to wait a few moments. Basil's attention was momentarily arrested by a rather large human in a singular costume.
Now, contrary to what you may've heard, Basil was not an expert in every subject, and he found himself unable to place this particular clothing style. However, a gentleman without trousers, unless he was a Scott, indicated an ancient civilisation.
Not one to pass up an opportunity to add to his store of knowledge, Basil approached the stranger and, in lieu of a proper greeting, asked, "Pardon me, sir, for being so familiar, but would you tell me what country and year you hail from?"
<<Alas, poor Kronk, his thread has languished for far too long without a reply. So sorry >>
Clothing told a lot about these men, he looked upon the talking mouse as tall as him. "Oh! Maybe you can help me uh, put this puzzle together." he scratched his head. He tried to remember that information, "None of the ones here in the... showcase." he noted. "None of the empires are familiar." he shrugged. "We uh, called it the Four Regions!" he recalled at last. "Ruled by Emperor Kuzco." of that, he was sure. "One of them was the Jungle."
Kronk smiled, "Ah the jungle... Those beautiful birds, so colorful. It's like the deeper I went the brighter it got in there." He paused a moment, "Where do you come from, are you a... local?" he asked, unsure of the implications, but especially in language. "You fit in, except for the whole, mouse thing" his statement was accompanied by gestures indicating big ears and a long nose, of cours.
Basil climbed up onto the back of one of the ubiquitous park benches in order to better converse with the hulking human.
We uh, called it the Four Regions!
"That is rather vague," replied the mouse with a slight frown. Though the name of Kuzco sounded slightly familiar...Basil wondered if he had met someone else from this same kingdom at some point.
Then the fellow began to wax poetic about his jungle home. While he waffled on, Basil set about to see what might be deduced from an observation of the stranger.
"I perceive, sir, unless I am very much mistaken, that you are a cook or chef where you come from, are you not?"
Where do you come from, are you a... local?
Basil supposed it was only fair to let the chap ask his share of questions as well.
You fit in, except for the whole, mouse thing
He let that pass without a reply, save for a raise of the eyebrow. As to the earlier question:
"Well, England is my country, yes. But this is merely a mock-up, a sham, meant for entertainment purposes. The real England is an ocean away. Like yourself, I have been brought here by some unknown force from my homeland."
Papá Héctor: Not sure if Maggie answered, but perhaps blue to match her dress? <3

Toad: Dash: I'm sure we can arrange it so the Parrs's stay in Toad Hall is only temporary. I guess I'll start that other thread to show you what's up with the place. It's only me RPing with my own characters.

Basil: That last Basil post wasn't very interesting, but I wanted to get all my characters into the party. I think those are the only ones I have who've met the Riveras.
