Who am I? Just a conscience!
Introduce yourself
Hey, howdy, hey! The name's Makucha, and I wished upon a star from my friend Neo!. My other characters include none. Makucha and I are so very eager to join the Worlds of Disney circle of life!
Character basics
Character name: Makucha
Age: 2 years
Species: Leopard
Birthplace: The Back Lands of the Pridelands; Serengeti
Movie: The Lion Guard
Custom title: The Bully
Why'd you pick this character? Makucha is simple, even minimalist, but at the same time does well at having a presence to him. I enjoy him as a villain, brimming with confidence. I feel like there's lots of potential with using his character, and that he will offer fun interactions with others. Heroes, villains, and those in-between.
Character appearance (try to get at least 2 or 3 sentences for each section)
Hair description: Makucha is a leopard and as such has fur with large spots, his main body is a dusty-colored yellow. White surrounds his muzzle like a beard, and his lower body is also white. His fur has large and mostly square spots with brown in the middle, with spots on the edges of his pattern or on his shoulder being triangular or closer to black stripes. His tail starts being striped black-and-white in the middle of its length, ending with a black tip.
Facial description/mood/expressions: The leopard's face has four black spots on each side making a line toward his ears. Spots start at his nose and go up his head, forming three lines that could be likened to a tree. He usually wears a smirk or grin. As mentioned he has a white beard-like color around his muzzle, and naturally he has three long whiskers on each side.
Clothing style: Makucha is bare and proud of it!
Body build: The bully leopard is naturally muscular, having a healthy weight to him and plenty of exercise that give him a strong physique for a leopard. He however is not 'ripped' at a glance, there is plenty of fluff covering it. He has a bulkier look than the rest of his Leap (the leopard term for a pack), having broader shoulders and a shorter neck.
Any unique traits (optional): Like lions and unlike cheetahs, leopards possess retractable claws!
Original character analysis (In your own words and please be thorough)
Personality:
Makucha has a certain presence about him, an air of smugness and superiority just in how he looks at you that is only confirmed when his snout opens. He enjoys toying with others, especially his enemies, whether taunting them or fighting them, usually when they already have enough to deal with. He is full of himself, and amazingly stubborn! This has its pros and cons, at least he is not easily distracted and can keep his allies on task if they are.
(Lion Guard Season 3 Spoilers:) Makucha is absolutely evil, given in a sense his ultimate goal is to feast on an animal sanctuary. If you ask him, it's survival of the fittest or instinct. He has no interest in the Pridelanders' silly notions, while he never allied with Scar or his army he certainly would agree more with them. He has no interest in taking the Pridelands.
History:
Most leopards at most pushed around each other for a better tree at best, however Makucha was different. This leopard had a powerful ambition, as such he naturally settled into the role of leader among his friends. Though they aren't the closest of bands, they put their trust in him to be able to achieve anything on which he sets his mind to. Given the dim-witted and self-absorbed nature of many prey animals around, he got his way... at least until the Lion Guard got involved.
Makucha was careful not to earn the ire of the king, but one fateful day he chased his prey into the Pridelands, and the king's son Kion stood up to him. They would have more encounters, not shying away from causing trouble or trying to have his way. Most often he simply was trying to poach, but his plans went up to nearly wiping out his local zebra herd by blocking their waterhole. Talk about a bad neighbor!
(Lion Guard Season 3 Spoilers:)
Makucha's spots were really shown after Kion was poisoned, and the lion put on a long journey to the Tree of Life. The leopard helped them at first, but quickly betrayed them... and even after being defeated he left his Leap behind and formed a new team as he tracked the Lion Guard. Makucha didn't seek safety or healing from the Tree, oh no. He saw the Tree as a feast beyond all dreaming, and that is where he set his sights. Ultimately Kion mastered the roar, and sent the leopard very far away.
Ambitions:
Makucha's motivation and ambition is food, particularly exotic or rare foods. Food meaning prey animals, of course.
Due to his meddling, it has become a new ambition of Makucha's to defeat that pesky Kion and his Lion Guard.
Strengths & abilities:
Makucha is a powerful leopard, able to hold his own grappling against anyone he has encountered so far, except for of course Kion due to his roar. His claws and teeth make formidable weapons. Makucha has proven himself able to track and otherwise follow the Lion Guard's trail from the Pridelands to the Tree of Life.
Aside from his physical abilities, Makucha practically oozes charisma, and often knows just what to say to get someone on board with his plans. His sultry voice helps! He makes friends easily and makes a good mediator, doing the smart thing when his friends or allies bicker.
Flaws:
The leopard's ambition can also be a flaw, he isn't satisfied until he has what he wants, and will leave behind his allies if they disagree. Compromising on his desire is not happening!
Makucha doesn't even try to hide his intentions, he will even explain exactly what he is doing to his enemies, if with sass and trying to sway them to see things his way.
While he can be a nuisance, his toying with his victims makes it likely for them to learn how to beat him.
Likes:
Causing trouble for the Lion Guard and their allies, especially taunting Fuli. Progress or discoveries toward his goals; and making allies to help with them. Climbing trees, hunting, talking about his plans.
Dislikes:
Being kept from what he desires. Allies or friends who try to talk him out of his plans. Sticking to his own territory and the same foods.
Fears:
Being defeated, to the point he will retreat even if he thinks he stands a chance. Losing friends, allies, or respect thereof. Miscalculating his enemy.
Anything to add?:
Nothing to add!
RP SAMPLE:
PAST TENSE ONLY. MUST BE ABOUT THE CHARACTER FOR WHOM YOU ARE APPLYING.
"Aaaargh!" shouted the leopard as he came to a harsh landing on his side, skidding against short dry grass to a stop on his side. He rolled over to all fours, claws extending and digging into the ground. "What the- Urgh... whatever poa means, that wasn't..." he pressed his paws to the ground. "That hurt..." he checked his underside out, blinking... "I look fine though." he smirked until his mouth dropped open at the grass in front of him. "What kind of grass is this?" he shifted his weight to poke at it with his paw. "Just how far did that roar send me?" his head turned around.
A grassy field that seemed to be kept short, and not looking like it had been fed on to be that way, it was growing far too well. Stone that was similarly placed there, it all seemed a bit much, even moreso than the Pridelanders. "Did something change while I was... no." he sniffed the air, following the scent and stepping from the grass onto the stone. He made his way toward a nearby stand. "Look mom! A cheetah!", a child exclaimed.
The leopard scowled, but before he could correct the child, another voice did. "No honey that's a leopard. Cheetahs have round spots." Makucha rolled his eyes and continued on the path, until his ear perked up at a noise. "Who goes there?" he asked, then growled when no response was had, approaching a narrow passage between two... structures? His paw found its way to the wall, feeling it before, he heard noises but nothing more. "Either it's going to help me or I'll start by sampling the food." he chuckled some.
