**Uh, just a note... I'm not the same person who applied for Scar the first time and was put in the declined area. I saw Scar wasn't taken on the list, but if he is as the app seems to suggest, just tell me, and I can just delete this or whatever. Thank you~!**

age: 7 years.
species: Lion.
birthplace: Pride Rock, Africa.
movie: The Lion King.
title:
Be prepared.
why: I adore Scar, simple as that. As to why I chose him, otherwise, I suppose it's because I can somewhat relate to him. Being the middle child of two rather exemplary boys, it was always made clear that I wasn't quite as good as either of them in their respective fields- One being an athlete, the other, a brain. So, I tried to exploit what I did know and did well to my advantage, in order to get some sort of recognition at all. With Scar, he also had to do a bit of the same thing... Even if his method led to him... murdering his brother. Huh. Odd how those things work sometimes.
But, otherwise, I just really love playing the villain. I love playing the bad guy who rocks so hard and can come back with a vengeance from their untimely demise with an even better plan and scheme for success. He's also such an arrogant jerk... I think it's a wonderful dynamic to play.

charrie appearance[/ul]
facial description/mood expressions: Scar's face is quite long and narrow, much like the rest of his body. A scruff of hair resides at the bottom of his muzzle, a goatee of sorts, of pale fur, much lighter than that of his actual face. His eyes are rimmed with a deep brown underneath dark black lines as a sort of makeshift eyebrow. Unlike the other members of his family, Scar's eyes are yellow, with bright green irises, and a large scar passes over his left eye, bright and pink, although it had healed long ago. Fur continues to grow there still, and the area around it is completely numb, the fur slightly more then there then on the rest of his face.
clothing style: Being a lion, he doesn't wear clothes, but his coat his quite pretty for a lion. Zazu says it would make quite a handsome throw rug.
body build: Thin and sinewy. He looks as though he requires less food than the others in the Pride, as he is so thin. Scar's physique was obviously not one that was made for brute strength as lions are quite commonly known for, although Scar is quite strong despite how he looks. He managed to hold up his brother for some time before letting him fall to his death, after all. He is lean, probably only about 340lbs, perhaps less, with thin limbs that are wonderful for running, climbing, and stalking prey. Not so much for bulldozing into objects.
any unique traits (optional) : A large scar on the left side of his face, covering his eye, never healed quite well, and makes that entire area rather numb.

original charrie analysis. (everything must be in your own words! please be thorough.)[/ul]
history: As most everyone else was, Scar was born, an innocent cub with a bright future. He was the second son of Ahadi and Uru, with Mufasa being the elder. Perhaps it was reasonable that Ahadi dote upon the eldest son, who would one day take the throne from him, perhaps it was a natural thing to believe. However Scar grew up jaded because of it. Constantly seeking attention, he was finally fed up when his father opted to teach Mufasa the wonders of hunting, when it had been Scar who had been asking and attempting to wheedle his father into such things. When he missed a hunting trip Ahadi had promised, Scar was livid. When he returned from the Savannah, empty-pawed and alone, he spied Mufasa.
Furious, he launched at the male, and attempted to attack him, to best him, and prove that he was the one that was worthy of the title of King of Pride Rock. Instead, their father appeared, and took a swipe at Scar to send him away, leaving him with the scar over his eye. Embarrassed and betrayed by his own father, Scar slunk off into the night, not returning until a few days later.
Another plan was then hatched in order to prove himself to his favorites-playing father and his brother. When there was a drought, Mufasa and Scar went to the watering hole, where they found a cape buffalo hoarding all the water there, not letting anyone drink from it except himself, and those who he decided were worthy of a drink. As Mufasa tried to speak to them, Scar threatened them, claiming Mufasa would fight him for the watering hole. He tried to get the buffalo furious with Mufasa and charge, but instead, Mufasa talked him down and informed him that it was Scar who was challenging him, instead. Furious, the cape buffalo charged, and Scar was once more caught in the face, only etching the scar deeper into his flesh, any hope of actual healing gone, no chance of getting fur to grow over it ever to occur again.
After that incident, in an attempt to gain some more of his father's respect, he changed his name from Taka to Scar, in order to remind him of the misfortune that being proud and jealous of his brother had wrought upon him. But, by judging his actions in the future, he must not have learned his lesson too well.
Perhaps it was the name, maybe it was the actual scar, even still, it may have been Scar himself, however he was turned into a recluse, an outcast in his own pride, one he was still in line for. While he didn't get the power personally, he was still to be respected as a decent enough hunter and a male of the pride. All the same, he was alienated, and so he turned to walking through the forbidden areas of the Savannah. Namely, the elephant graveyard. He found himself enchanted by the bones of the place, picked clean by scavengers, marrow long since sucked dry. It was there that Scar met the hyenas for the first time, their leader, Shenzi, attempting to attack him.
The hyenas craved power as well, for they had always been forced into the lions' shadow for far too long for their patience. They'd hoped that they could take one unawares, and then be feared after as news of their exploits traveled. However, Scar turned the tables rather easily after beating them without much trouble. It was in his teenage years that Scar made the pact with them that promised they would never be hungry again, as long as they remained loyal to Scar, and only him.
That relationship continued all through his years. At one point, the hyenas had wished to actually bring him into their clan. However, Scar had declined, saying it would ruin their plans. The hyenas had no idea what this plan was, but eventually, they would learn.
The first part was getting rid of Mufasa, which would no doubtably be the trickiest thing. It was rather easy to do, and could have actually got two birds with one stone. Simba was playing in a gorge, hunting some bug or something, Scar wasn't so sure. It was easy to start the stampede. Fire. A wonderful and easy thing to acquire in the elephant graveyard, with their constant jets of burning air. The wildebeests came, right on time, right as they should, catching Simba in their midst. Scar then went to fetch his brother, playing the part of concerned uncle perfectly. "Simba is down there!" he'd cried, looking perfectly distraught as one should be in such a situation. After all, their heir to the throne would be trampled! Couldn't have that, could they?
Then there was Mufasa. He dove into the thick of things and, by some stroke of idiotic luck, was able to hurl Simba to safety, away from the rushing onslaught of murderous creatures. Scar could only watch in despair as Simba was saved. However, Mufasa would still be killed. Perhaps the child could wait. Could even be raised under his tutelage, then... tragically killed. It was then that he saw it. Mufasa, climbing the sheer rock face, hauling himself to where Scar himself stood. Eyes darkened, and as his brother reached for him, calling out to him to help him... Scar obeyed. He grabbed Mufasa's paws with his own, dangerously sharp claws digging into the flesh as he held his brother over the precipice of death. And then?
He let go.
Driving Simba out into exile was easy enough. He was a child. Children were too easy to manipulate, especially after crying over the loss of their father, who's body hadn't even had a moment to chill. After the child had been given a solid ten seconds, Scar glanced at the three hyenas who had been his loyal servants for some time now. "Kill him." He said simply, then turned away. He had a pride to become ruler of, telling the pride that Mufasa and Simba both died in the gorge during the stampede.
During his time as ruler, the Pridelands declined. Droughts hit continuously, and as such, food became scarce, the females being forced to over hunt, and ruining the rest of the system in response. His downward spiral continued to speed up as Simba returned from the supposed dead, where his hyenas had not, in fact, killed him. Simba opted to try and challenge his uncle for the throne. After a long confrontation verbally, and something where Scar may have won, Scar admits the truth. He killed Mufasa. He outcast Simba. He had been beat. Scar, however, was soon to be proven wrong, as Simba returned with a second bout of energy. Scar was flipped over a cliff where the hyenas were waiting just below. Determined to get revenge on him for previously calling them the "enemy" and giving them false promise of food and a good life, they surrounded their leader and begin to maul and maim him alive before the fire engulfs them. He never stood an iota of a chance.
ambitions: The destroy Mufasa, Nala, Simba, and all the other annoying little retches that destroyed his home in the first place. To once more become king of the pride undisputedly.
strengths && abilities: Fast, rather strong, cunning and merciless. He is a master manipulator, and can lie like the best of them. Family ties and other relationships mean nothing to him except to further his own personal agenda. He can climb trees, swim, hunt, and lead, although he's not so good at the last part.
flaws: He only thinks of himself. In times of leadership and power, he occasionally doubts himself. Scar is overconfident in his abilities, and occasionally thinks that he can trust small tasks to others he commands. Apparently he overestimates people. Scar is selfish and greedy, and just plain mean, and will stop at nothing to get what he wants, no matter what stands in his way. Even death can't conquer his desire for power and control. Also, he gets jealous and rather crazed pretty easily, especially when he fails, or someone else fails on his orders. He doesn't take any sort of failure well, actually.

what makes this character unique:
He's super dynamic. He's a character that is conflicted and horribly confused about his entire role in the grand scheme of things, and is both motivated by and conflicted by his feelings of inadequacies compared to his eldest brother. He is quite more than just the silly, "Oh I want power, let's KILL EVERYONE TO GET IT." It's so interesting. Plus, he's got a hot scar, and a super original name. Who can doubt that in the least?
RP SAMPLE: ----
Scar was a shadow in the midst of the pride meeting, held by Mufasa, Sarabi, and Zazu, in an address to the entire pride. He could be up there, should he choose. He was, after all, a direct part of the family. However, he much preferred the small circle of females who had aligned themselves in his favor. His vast harem of females circled where his lean form sat, rigid, almost entirely hidden as the meeting continued. While those in the main area chittered amongst themselves and discussed privately the points that Mufasa was making, his cove remained silent. It was for the better.
While they continued to look straight forward, supposedly at Mufasa, all of their bodies were aligned to face Scar. All of their heads matched just so, so they could keep their leader within their sights at all times. And, as the meeting reached a dull point, Scar stood. He could sometimes bear to say a few words, dripping with sarcasm and contempt that his brother would never catch up on. However, today, he felt more antisocial than normal. As such, when he stood, the lionesses did as well, almost in unison, deadly quiet as they padded out of the stone cave and into the bright day. Mufasa only paused to watch them go before continuing on. The meeting wasn't mandatory, after all.
The legion walked down the long stone face to the ground level, easily finding Scar's cave, where the male promptly lay down amongst his females, who lay with him quickly, eager to take a spot close to him. It was, of course, Zira who got the spot that had been so sought after. It was always Zira. "What do you feel on his policies, Zira?" Questioned Scar lightly, tone bored as he tapped his claws on the stone impatiently, sneering at the idea.
"Who cares to listen, Scar?" she asked in retort, malicious smile forming over lips and exposing both rows of cruel teeth. Scar glanced down at his mate and smirked in quite the same fashion. A long lick was given along her brow line, a sign of affection he only gave to so few.
"You won't have to for long," he murmured, eyes lighting on Simba, pouncing at a bug in the distance. And, behind that? Three hyenas, gorging themselves on a zebra that had been carelessly left out by whoever had hunted it down. Mysterious.
