charrie basics.[/ul]
age: somewhere between late adolescence and early adulthood
species: alligator
birthplace: the bayou in New Orleans, Louisiana
movie: The Princess and the Frog (2009)
title:
I Love Ya Too, Babeh!
why: When I first watched a clip with Louis in it, I knew that he would be a fun character to play. I'm a musician myself, so I can relate to him on that level. I have seen the movie three times now, and I can safely say that Louis is one of my favorite characters from the film.

charrie appearance[/ul]
facial description/mood expressions: Louis has very expressive features. When he smiles, his pearly whites shine like the sun. His light green eyes can light up if excited or happy or be filled with tears when overjoyed or saddened. Even when he's not playing his instrument, he's always expressing himself both verbally and with his actions.
clothing style: "HAHAHAHA! Clothes! Who evah heard of an animal wearin' clothes? Dang, dat's jus' funneh! ... oh wait, ya'll serious?"
body build: Louis is, for lack of a better term, on the chubby side quite a bit. Don't let his fat fool you, though. He's actually pretty strong despite all of that.

original charrie analysis. (everything must be in your own words! please be thorough.)[/ul]
history: Louis was born the youngest in a family of alligators who lived in the bayous of New Orleans. When he was little, he caught glance of a river boat and heard his first jazz song. A trumpet fell overboard the boat and the young gaotr rushed to retrieve it. He named the trumpet "Ella" and began to learn how to play it.
While all of the other alligators grew up to be strong and viscious, Louis learned that music was a key element in his life. As a result of this, much teasing was done by his peers in his youth. His parents, however, supported his dream and encouraged him to keep trying towards his dream.
When it came time to leave his family to live his own life, Louis continued to play his trumpet for a living and even tried to jam with "the big boys" on a river boat once. It didn't end well.
One morning, as he was swimming through the bayou, he met two frogs named Naveen and Tiana. Upon learning that they were actually humans who were transformed by a spell, he didn't believe them at first. With a little persuasion from the frog prince (which sparked his newfound desire to be human), he decided to take the two to Mama Odie, the voodoo priestess of the bayou.
Unfortunately, Louis was confused by the topography and the geography (and the choreography) and ended up leading the two in the wrong direction. They ended up meeting Ray who led the trio to Mama Odie. He told his wish to the priestess but ended up getting the reply to "dig a little deeper" and to find out what he really needed.
He ended up sneaking the others on a river boat and got his chance to play with actual musicians in the Mardi Gras parade. When faced with the decision of continuing his music or helping his friends, however, he ended up choosing the latter and helped a dying Ray reach Tiana and Naveen.
Louis was present at both Ray's funeral (playing a sad song on his trumpet in honor and in memory of Ray) and Tiana and Naveen's bayou wedding (where he witnessed his two friends turn back into humans). He also played a key role in helping Tiana get her restaurant, and as of now he currently plays with the house band "The Firefly Five Plus Lou".
ambitions: Louis greatest goal is to play with some of the jazz greats on the river boats and in the parades. He also wants to do this without scaring them, so he wishes to be human, too.

RP SAMPLE: "See ya'll tomorrow, boys!" Louis waved goodbye to the rest of the Firefly Five as the humans left the restaurant. "Man, dose boys ain't half bad," he chuckled as he took a look around from the stage. It was closing time at Tiana's Place, and everyone (except for the main staff) had already headed out.
Where were Tiana and Naveen, though? He hadn't seen them since they danced off earlier that night. The gator pondered this for a while before shrugging it off. Oh well, it must've been important to them, he figured. "But whatevah it is, dey can tell ol' Louis, right? Right? I say, am I right?"
No answer. The place was as silent as a swamp rat. ("Lawd knows how noisy they is..." Louis mumbled under his breath.) With a sigh, the alligator started off towards the back room. "Hey, ya'll," he called out as he approached the door that led to the room, "everehone's alreadeh up an' gone. Maybeh we shoul'--"
Big mistake. He had accidentally ruined a special moment between his two best friends.
"... oh." The musician cleared his throat and waved and smiled nervously. "I was jus', you know, wanderin' aroun' da place and I-- oh, look at da time! I shoul' be headin' off... Bye."
With that, he grabbed his trumpet and rushed out of the back room and exited the restaurant out the front way.
