It was another wonderful day as Figment flew out of the Imagination Pavilion, his eyes taking in all of the sights, sounds, and colors of the brilliant park. He swooped around the trees and twirled through the air with childish laughter that could make anyone smile.
"It's a wonderful day to fly!" Figment sang to the sky.
Figment knew some things about the park, but he had never been to all of the places in it. He usually ended up getting occupied with too many things at once and lost track of time, bouncing back and forth from object to object with the attention span of an ant. Only two things could make Figment stay focused: Sparks and people. Figment loved to play with the Sparks of the people that traversed the park, watching them appear and disappear like a bunch of glowing bubbles. The people caught his attention because they created the Sparks; the purple dragon saw this connection as how he himself was created, and thus did everything he could to be around the people and talk to them.
Today, however, was a quiet day. The birds were chirping, the sun was shining, and there were very few people around. It was too quiet for Figment, for sure. Luckily, Figment did not have to search for very long - there, floating down on the ground, was a very lively Spark. Figment soared down to approach the Spark, watching it bounce and flutter around just like he was.
"Hehee," Figment giggled, following the Spark wherever it went. "I wonder where you came from."
To any other person watching, it would seem like Figment was following something that wasn't really there. It would be a strange sight indeed.
