{Excuse the lame title. I'm listening to Under the Sea xD}
The mermaid...well the mermaid that now had a pair of legs, was leaning against the fence looking into the lake. The water. She just kept on staring into it for some reason. Even though she was in an exciting theme park with well over a million things to do, she just couldn't take her eyes off this pool of water. She just felt so attached to it. Like she had a longing to just dive in and swim around. The redhaired girl could do almost anything she wanted to do now that she had her legs. She could walk, run, dance, see new places and so many more things! But now that she had everything that she every truely wanted...why did she feel so attached to what she used to have? They did say that nothing came free. Everything had to come with a price. And right now, Ariel really wanted to swim in the sea as a mermaid again. Just for a moment longer.
Ariel had started to miss some of the adventures that she had underwater. She missed Flounder, Sebastain, her father and all of her sisters. But on the otherhand, she was just loving this experience of being a human. She was an ACTUAL human. And it was great! She was slowly learning so much more about the human world. And learning that some things she learned were wrong. Like all of those odd stares she got the other day when she brushed her hair with a dinglehopper. Oh wait. Fork was the proper world. But each day at this place, she was learning more and more. Some people were kind enough to introduce and explain the basic human things to Ariel. Without even much questioning! That, she was incredibley grateful for. She really loved being apart of this world. If only she could be apart of both.
Ariel put on a bit of a smile. She'd go and visit Atlantica soon. For now, she was just content with doing some more exploration of this place. Disney World was the name. At least thats what she believed it was. With all of these new names that she was learning, it was getting harder and harder to remember which one was which. Like how she got the soda and the cheeseburger confused often. Many people were surprised when she asked for a bottle of cheeseburger. But Ariel was persistant. She wasn't going to give up that easily. She would fit in to this world, and soon. Looking away from the lake, she stared down at her new legs, still examining them a bit. They still felt so...so new to her. Maybe because she had grown so used to having a tail.
Turning away from her legs, she looked up to the day's sky. Ah, nothing really could compare to the beauty of the sky. With the sun beating down, wrapping her in the warm embrace. She just loved it. They didn't have this feeling in Atlantica. Even when she went up to the surface, it really didn't compare to feeling the sun on land. She smiled up to the sky and then to the water. She just loved both worlds so much.
