<<wallghost (who used to play Melanie's fiance) had to quit due to IRL issues. Therefore, I'll be playing it as though Lawrence has be transported back to Thunder Mesa>>
It was early morning in the Grand Floridian, Disney World's finest and most expensive hotel. The entire building was still asleep, save for a few early risers. Melanie was amoung these. She stirred in her sleep and blinked away, glancing over at the clock on the table beside the hotel bed. 6:30. Wonderful. God, she hated waking up early. Ah well, nothing to be done about it now. Melanie rolled over in the bed, making to wrap her arm around Lawrence's waist and shake him awake, but there was no one beside her. Confused, she sat up, looking around the small hotel room for any sign of her fiance. There was none.
"Lawrence?" Panic began to rise within her, causing her breath to come in short pants. She was nearly hyperventilated, and half wondering why in the world she was breathing when she didn't have too. Melanie practically leapt out of the bed, hurrying around the room and biting back whimpers of fear. Throwing the door to the room open, she ran out to the balcony over looking the lobby. With an insane hope that he might be down there, she looked to see...nothing. The lobby was completely empty.
Melanie dropped onto a nearby bench, her mind racing. Lawrence had to be somewhere, and if he wasn't here...he must be back in Thunder Mesa. With her father. A strangled cry finally broke through her, but she managed to hold back the storm of tears that was threatening to begin. For now, she just sat helplessly on her bench, hoping that an explaination would somehow present itself.
