The lobby was nearly empty, an extremely rare occasion for the Grand Floridian. One of the only people in the room made her way towards the front desk. Melanie was definatly tired of sleeping on the benches in the Magic Kingdom. It was time to accept that being in the park wasn't going to send her back home and that it was time to get herself some proper accomidations.
Approaching the front desk, the ghostly young woman spoke to the man behind it, asking for a double room, at the off chance that she and Lawrence finally found each other. Her heart sank as she realized that she might never see him again, and be stuck in the strange place for the rest of her afterlife.
After recieving the key to her new room, Melanie made her way over to the elevator. Having no luggage to speak of, she made a snap descision to purchase a few nessecities as soon as she could. When she reached her room, it took a couple of tries for her to figure out how to work the key. After all, they'd given her a card instead of a key, which confused her to no end. Finally, Melanie figured out that she was supposed to swipe the card through the slot, which opened the door. She entered the room and found a good sized double bed. She sighed, lying down on the soft bed, a far cry from the benches that had served as her sleeping accomidations in the past days. Melanie wondered if perhaps she and Lawrence would be sharing the bed in the near future. Probably not, she thought, standing up. She walked out on the veranda, looking down at what she supposed was the lobby. People-watching had always been a habit of hers, and she decided to amuse herself with whatever was going on down there.
