charrie basics.[/ul]
age: 6 months? Probably less than a year.
species: Canine, Mutt
birthplace: In the lovely home of Jim Dear, Darling, and little Junior.
movie:Lady and the Tramp 2 Scamps Adventure
title: I wanna be Wild and Free!!
I wanna be Wild and Free!!
why: Well to tell the truth Scamp wasn’t my first choice. I considered Zero from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Dodger from Oliver and Company, and an array of characters from the Lion King. What prompted me to decide on Scamp in the end was a combination of Jack not being active, Dodger getting a wonderful player, and most importantly, the connection I had with Scamp. I rewatched the film and it sparked a few memories of the first time I watched the film. I always liked the dynamic between Scamp, his family, and how Angel and Scamp had what each other wanted. The character’s energetic personality seemed easier for me to relate to when I attempted to get under the character’s skin. With Dodger or Simba I felt like I was trying to hard to force the character out but Scamp just came naturally.

charrie appearance[/ul]
facial description/mood expressions: Scamp is always full of energy and it shows in his body which is usually at a run. If he is happy you can bet his tail will be wagging as fast as he can make it. His closed mouth smile opens up into a grin when particularly impressed or excited about something. His ears stand up with the tips folded over a bit and are often flopping around when he is running. It is hard not to get excited when this puppy is as he projects the emotion through every bone in his body even panting with his tongue held out.
When scolded, often as he is, Scamps ears fall flat to the side of his head, and his mouth droops forming a frown. If particularly sad he will even whimper and drop his entire head to the ground, not feeling like making eye contact. In most of his emotions be it shocked, happy, or even a bit frightened the pup tends to stare at the person addressing him with his round brown orbs.
When addressing someone he is trying to impress Scamp does a clumsy form of acting cool. He narrows his eyes, gives a charming grin, and changes the way he speaks attempting to project a ‘I’m smooth’ kind of feel. Upon messing up or doing something clumsy the dog reverts back to himself, often giving an open mouthed smile to distract from his mishap, while fumbling with his words in an attempt to reestablish himself as too cool.
If he is angry Scamp’s ears fall a small bit, not as much as when he is sad, and he either looks off from the person with eyes narrowed, at the person attempting to stare daggers into them, or bares his teeth while crouching incase he might need to leap into action depending on the situation. When annoyed at his parents it is normally looking off in annoyance or staring at them angrily. The only time he’d get aggressive with teeth bore would be if he or his loved ones were in danger from another animal/dangerous foe.
clothing style: If Scamp had his way he’d go natural but being a house dog he is shackled with a greenish blue collar. The collar sports a yellow diamond in the front identifying him and at the same time protecting him from the dog catcher.
body build: Scamp is still a puppy, around half the height and length of his father. He has a little tone around his legs thanks to his constant playing and running around. The pup sports a small grey tail like his pop which is in constant motion. His ears naturally stand straight up except for the very tips which hang folded down over the rest of his ear.
any unique traits (optional):Scamp has inherited a very unique trait from his father. It often times gives away that he is Tramps son to anyone who knows his father well. When the puppy has an itch he scratches it and the sensation causes him to hang his tongue out. He then gives a quick shake as if drying himself off.

original charrie analysis. (everything must be in your own words! please be thorough.)[/ul]
Not thinking before he leaps, Scamp tends to get into trouble and sometimes even dangerous situations. This particularly happens when his abilities as a street dog are challenged. If Scamp had any second doubts about it before hand just mention he’s a house dog and he’ll jump into the thick of it. Scamp is also very naive and gullible. It doesn’t take much to impress the pup as he hasn’t really seen many street moves and any slick movin street dog could earn his trust.
Scamp is very uncoordinated and awkward when it comes to most social situation. You can often time catch him running into walls or stumbling over his own feet which. He recovers from this quickly though often times smiling, laughing it off, or even just kind of explaining what he did and then running off. He likes to act as if he knows everything about the street especially if he is around someone he wants to like him.
At the age he is now Scamp is rather self centered. He only thinks about himself and what he wants without taking into consideration how it will affect anyone else. During the incident when he ran away Scamp saw how much his family does care for him but still chose his own wants over them. It is a constant struggle between wanting to be free and not wanting to cause his family worry but with Angel in the house to teach him a few of her dog moves he finds an outlet for his excess energy.
history: Scamp was born to Lady and Tramp along with his three sisters Annette, Danielle and Colette. While the three girls greatly resembeled their mother Scamp took after his father both in looks and his wild, oftentimes energetic, personality. His first few months were spent in darkness until his eyes opened. From the time he first opened his eyes Scamp was curoious about the world around him. Oftentimes Tramp had to hunt down the pup and return him to his mother’s basket for nurseing. If they thought he was a handful then, crawling on his stomach as he did, they were sorely mistaken. When Scamp got his legs he was off at a run. Always getting into trouble, Scamp did everything from chew up Jim Dear’s favorite hats to trake mud all through the house. Jim Dear and Darling had to take to closing all the windows and doors directly after giving the pup a bath as to insure he stayed clean for at least a few minutes.
Scamps sisters were proper house dogs, loving baths, and never dreaming of breaking a rule. Scamp couldn’t understand it. How could they enjoy... ugh... baths. It made him shake in revoltion just thinking about it. As Scamp grew up in the home he longed more and more to go outside and the more he did get out the more mischift he got into which prompted Jim Dear to take extra care in closing ever exit from the house. Scamp did have rare moments where his father would give into the puppys begging and played with him. Though after Jim Dear scolded the other dog once or twice those moments became less and less.
One afternoon after a walk, boy did Scamp enjoy those family walks, the puppy had just finished a bath when Junior threw a ball out the window. On impulse more than anything else Scamp jumped out of the window and into the mud to retrive the ball. On his way back into the house the dog traked mud in, all over his sisters, and even on Junior. The baby then threw the ball again and Scamp ran into the living room hoping intoa waste basket to get the ball. The trash can fell over and the curtain behind him fell down upon him as well. This was the last staw for Jim Dear. He scolded Scamp and even went as far as to chain him up.
Tramp came out to try and cheer him up with some food but Scamp wasn’t in a good mood and instead pushed the food away. The chat soon turned to an argument and Scamp declared that he wanted to be what he refered to as a ‘real dog’, that he wanted to be wild and free. Tramp wouldn’t have any of it and left to leave the puppy to his punishment. Next thing Scamp knew there were some wild dogs outside the gated house. He excitiedly went over to see the dogs making a fool out of the dog catcher.
Later that night Scamp breaks free of the chain and escapes through a whole in the fence that was incidently made by Scamp hitting the fence after the chain came off his collar. The puppy searches through the streets that night looking for the stray dogs and happens to find Angel. He attempts to act as if he’s a pro at living on the street but she easily sees though him. He eventually follows Angel to the other junk yard dogs. Here Scamp meets Buster who decides that the pup needs to pass a test if he wants to be a junk yard dog.
Scamp is tasked with retrieveing a can from a rather ferocious looking bullmastiff named Reggie. As he attempts to steal the can he acidently wakes the much bigger, agrisive dog. In the insuing chase Scamp barely gets away and Reggie ends getitng caught by the dog catcher. All the junk yard dogs are impressed except for Buster who declares that Scamp must pass one more test when the dog voices his concer for Reggie. During the next night Scamp and Angel hang out together. It ends in Angel discovering that Scamp’s dad is Tramp and Scamp learning that his family really misses him.
Angel attacks Scamp verbally, not understanding how he didn’t know they would miss him. She lets him know she’d love to be a house dog and then asks him to keep that fact a secret from Buster. Scamp agrees and the next day hears the tale of the best street dog there ever was, Tramp. This news shocks Scamp and he wonders why his father would give it all up. Buster, seeing Scamp and Tramp scratch, realized that he pup is actually Tramp’s son and this gives him an idea for Scamps second test.
Scamp is tasked with stealing a turkey from his old family and when he voices that he’d rather not is coaxed by Buster who says ‘once a house dog, always a house dog.’ This was just enough of a push to get Scamp to go through with it. He steals the turkey but is caught by his father who warns him about Buster. Buster does a little more coaxing after Tramp declares Scamp does not have a chose in coming back home and this prompts the puppy to chose Buster over his own father. Tramp tells Scamp that the door will be open when he’s ready to return and then leaves.
Buster then removes Scamp’s collar in hounour of him finally becoming a junk yard dog. Angel is offended by this and trys to talk some since into Scamp. After being teased by Buster he acidently reveals that Angel is the one wanting to be a house dog not him. This causes Angel to be kicked out of the gang and Scamp goes after her. Buster then sets Scamp up to be caught by the dog catcher. On his way to the pound the dog catcher lucky drives by Angel who sees Scamp and then goes for help.
At the dog pound Scamp is throwen into the same cage as Reggie and the dog attempts to break its chain in order to get to the pup. Tramp gets there just in time to save his son and easily traps the dog back in the cage with a small bit of help from his son. Angel bites the dog catcher and then the three escape. Upon getting home everyone welcomes Scamp back and then Jim Dear is convinced by his family to take in Angel.
Scamp continues to live with Jim Dear, Darling, and Junior along with his family. He and Angel play outside and his father spends more dog time with him, howling at the moon down by the rivier. Although Scamp still has rules and has a wild longing to be wild and free that he can’t rid himself of, he understands how much his family cares and isn’t about to put them through the worry he did before. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t enjoy the ocashional stroll around the streets.

what makes this character unique: Scamp is the classic child just about to become a teenage. He’s got that rebellious thing going on and just wants to live life without his parent’s rules. I find it interesting how he acts as if he knows everything about the street and proceeds to keep up the act even after a mishap or two. When compared to the other characters on the board I feel Scamp would stand out with his youthful energy. Out of the other dogs he is the only pup and out of the Disney pups I can recall, he’s the wildest. Oh and one other thing that I noticed that is unique to only Scamp is when he is shocked or otherwise startled he lets out a squeal. I think he did it like five or so times within the first three or so minutes of the show.
RP SAMPLE: ----
Scamp opened his eyes only to shut them quickly again as a beam of light had blinded him. This time he opened them a little more slowly, allowing his pupils to adjust to the new lighting. With a lazy yawn the puppy stood up in his bed and then gave a nice long stretch. Giving himself a quick scratch, Scamp’s tongue fell out showing off just how good it felt to sooth the itch. With a shake of his head the puppy dropped his hind leg back down and then looked around the room. The sounds of shallow breathing could be heard from his sisters’ bed. With another quick glance around the room Scamp came to the conclusion that everyone was asleep.
Excitement whaled up within him. Now was his chance. Scamp ran into the kitchen area expecting a sure way out of the house only to find that Jim Dear had remembered to close the window. Scamp’s ears fell to the side of his head as he eyed the window, trying to will it open. This window was always open; if Jim Dear had remembered it then Scamp was sure the rest of the house was shut down tight. “What’s wrong with going out in the morning anyhow? I can watch after myself.” Scamp muttered to himself in annoyance. His ears returned to there erect position as he gave a roll of his eyes. He couldn’t understand for the life of him the reason behind half these rules.
He walked back into the living room rather slowly while contemplating what his next move was. It wasn’t like he planned to go back to bed or wait around for everyone to get up on their own time. “Dad’s always grumpy at first and wrestling isn’t what ladies do” Scamp mumbled trying to imitate his sisters on the last part while glaring in there direction. Scamp really didn’t have anything against them; he just was in a sour mood now that his plans of digging out in the flower bed were ruined. Then something caught his eye. Scamp's ears went up more, his tail began to sway. The scruffy tail steadily got faster as he crouched down and then *SQUEAK*. Scamp had lunged forward at his ball and it let out a loud squeal as if it were an animal that had just been bitten.
