charrie basics.[/ul]
age: 18
species: Merfolk
birthplace: Atlantica
movie: The Little Mermaid (etc)
title:
{Siren} of the Sea
why: I was going for something this time around. I'm generally pick up the baddies, since its easier to shake things up with them. Picking up a minor character was a good idea, since I'm able to bring out what wasn't seen in the character so it cause for a lot of imagination of 'what would arista do?'. This give a bit of free movement since the character wasn't fully outline like a main character. Also with a little searching, Arista looks like she have a lot of pontential.

body build: Arista is a petite mermaid with small curves. In her eyes, she looks like an ordinary mermaid without anything to make her stick out like the rest besides the title of being one of Triton's daughters.
any unique traits (optional) : The only concindental thing about Arista is that her and her sisters takes on colors of the rainbow. Although she isn't the eldest, she is red.

original charrie analysis. (everything must be in your own words! please be thorough.)[/ul]
Around her sisters, Arista blends in with the crowd being a typical teen whether its shopping in a pack, gossiping, being a bougie princess with her own pot of side comments, or gazing at the cutest merman around. She stands out more when her and Aquata are at it, especially with her borrowing habits. At times it's just to shake things up with her easily territorial sister. A main attribute to Arista is her worry wart side. If Attina doesn't say anything, she's the first to think twice when it's REALLY seems like a gambling scenario, but she is a bubbly mermaid who loves to have fun.
On her own, she's more hesistant without the security blanket of her sisters. Together, she know nothing too troublesome would occur; hey there were seven opinions to go through. On her own, she isn't too sure of herself and most likely timid and shy. She's more comfortable when accompanied by music, her heart. Of-course all of her sister have a fondness of music, but music soothes her to the core and takes her to her own little world of comfort as if her mother was always next to her.
Although she's hesistant, she does have an insatiable curiousity; the only anchor holding her down is herself. Deep down she wants to explore to see and hear every wonders of the world; perhaps she would be able to find her compared to being just one out of seven princesses.
history:
Arista was born into a growing family. At the time, she was the youngest and the thid mermaid of Athena and Triton. It wasn't long until Arista had younger siblings, four younger sisters. There wasn't too big of a gap between them to cease the sisterly relationships, which grew stronger after loosing their mother.
She can remember through her childhood of getting into a lot of quarrels with her sister Aquata. There's nothing wrong with borrowing a few things. This behavior enabled her to keep her child-like nature at of play. But when play time is over, Arista can be quite the worrisome sister especially when it came to Ariel. Everyone knew of Ariel's free spirited nature, which spewed plenty arguments between Arista and Ariel.
Being the older sister, Arista felt obligated to follow her father's rules, especially when there was a rule breaker trialing all of his patience. Sure she had music to lean on to keep her company, but truthfully she was envious of Ariel's freedom in how she can explore with worries and defiance. In away, she tried to break it thinking that arguments would cease it. Since none of them can be roaming adventurers, then why should she? Why should Ariel be freed from obligations, while the rest do what they can to alleviate their father's stress by behaving? Then again, Arista can't speak for the rest of her sisters, since they all seemed content with the ocean. She knew Attina can't be thinking anywhere near of being an explorer, since she was next-in-line to the throne.
Where did that leave Arista? It left her to find her own calling for she just won't be another of Triton's daughter. Attina's the future queen; Ariel's the head strong fighter; Adella's is being a girl..a boy crazy girl; Alana may be the future of all beauty products, despite how bad they smell; Aquata, well who cares she still won't share her hairbrush, and Adrina...is ...adrina, enough said. Sure Arista had music, but ALL OF THEM HAD MUSIC.
Finding herself was placed on pause when Ariel went missing. It brought a sense of panic to the entire kingdom. It seemed that Ariel's freedom was the end of her, which brought a phobia of ever leaving the kingdom to sate her desire of finding herself. Also such mission was placed on hold as she worried endlessly about Ariel like the rest of her family. Of-course she would've searched all of the ocean for her, but it was best to stay in the kingdom for nothing more tradgic happens to the family.
With Ariel, Sebastian, and Flounder lost beyond hope, Atlantica became quieter as if it was going through another anti-music phase. It was understandable, since many were either too worried or depressed to play. Music for Arista kept her going, since playing her saxophone brought her peace in mind. During Ariel's departure she picked up other instruments for she won't think the worse. To keep her memory of her sister and her hope alive, she learned the flute. It was small and had a soft voice like her baby sister.
One day, everyone wished came true, well partially. Sebastian had returned, but he was in a paniced hurry to answer a single question about Ariel's whereabouts; he was desperate to see the Sea King. Her father left without a word, well to her, but Arista was sure Attina would know something, since she was the eldest, the future queen, but she was told nothing.
The entire kingdom was left in the dark until news reached everyone about the destruction of Ursula the Sea Witch. There were hardly any doubt that she was involved, but how Arista never knew. Then again, why should she worry? Ursula was gone, and Ariel was safe. To add more happiness to the pot, she was getting married.
Arista was happy for her; she even got a kick of watching Adella cry. Even being two years older, Ariel beat Adella in getting a husband. Even breaking their father's rules for her dream, Ariel still found happiness. It was a little encouragement for Arista to explore herself...with her father's permission of-course.
Swimming across the ocean, she found plenty of wonderful instruments...even a world of happiness...called...disney something.

RP SAMPLE: ----
"Do, a doe, a female deer," Arista starts to sing to herself, while swimming in the endless ocean. She stopped her swimming as she floated across the water wondering what was a doe, especially if it made bread. Do humans really use a deer for bread? She cringed at the thought. Ariel had showed her a picture of a deer, and it sounded horrific to make Bambi's mom into a loaf of bread.
A flash of light from above caught her attention as it rippled along the sea. It was multicolored like the rainbow. With a snap of her tail, she swam up to see a large circle. Tilting her head, she can see people boarding it, while the large ferris wheel turned when everyone was seated, "Woooow, I wonder if anyone would fall off."
Her eyes went wide with the image of a human falling, "Must think happy thoughts!"
Turning her head looking for a distraction, she saw a merry go round with jumping horses. Diving into the water, she swam closer trying to get a better look. It was easier to see it from a far when the boardwalk wasn't in her way.
"Grrr, I'll have to jump." She lifted herself up before descending down in the ocean. Her brows furrowed thinking of something that jumped, "A BEEE!"
She jumped out of the water, which was a weak attempt. Her arms stretched out missing the boardwalk. She frowned unamused finding herself back in the water, "I think Ariel said...bees buzzed not hopped. I know a DOLPHIN!"
Wiggling her tail, she used as much strength as she can with arms stretched up. Her nails dug into the wood once her fingers gripped. "Ha! I got it. Now to get uuup theeere."
She began struggling with her upper body strength to get herself up, but her eye twitched feeling a foot step on her danty finger. "Sweet mother of pearl!"
