original charrie analysis. (everything must be in your own words! please be thorough.)[/ul][/font][/i]
history: In the film: Megara sold her soul to Hades in order to save her boyfriend's life, but shortly afterwards he had dumped her for some other 'babe', abandoning her. This leaves Megara feeling heartbroken and determined to never fall in love again. At first, Megara is simply used as a pawn in Hades' plot to defeat Hercules, and when Hades offers her freedom in return for Hercules' weakness, she willingly accepts the deal, but as she gets to know the demi-god she finds herself falling in love with him, though she is loath to admit it. She decides that she would rather serve Hades unwillingly, than betray Hercules. Unfortunately, through this, Hades realizes that Meg is Hercules' weakness. He uses Meg to persuade Hercules to give up his strength for 24 hours, and then spitefully reveals that she was working for him all along. His heart broken, Hercules loses the will to fight the Cyclops Hades turns upon him. Meg finds and unties Pegasus and battles her fear of heights to find Phil, persuading him to come back and help Hercules regain his confidence.
After Hercules manages to defeat the Cyclops using his wits, Meg sees a pillar collapsing onto him, and in a moment of emotion, leaps to push him out of the way. Unfortunately, this means she is crushed by the pillar instead, sustaining huge internal injuries, but not having a visible scratch on her. This breaks Hades' contract, meaning he regains his strength. As he asks her why she did it, she finally admits she loves him. Hercules leaves her in Phil's care while he goes to stop Hades taking over Olympus. After saving Olympus, Hercules races back to be with Meg rather than chasing Hades, but arrive seconds after she has passed away from her injuries. He then travels to the Underworld, and rescues her soul, which brings her back to life (and makes him a True Hero). Meg and Hercules then travel to the gates of Olympus, where Meg watches Hercules ready to enter Olympus, where she, being mortal, cannot follow. However, Hercules realizes that he wants to be with Meg, and gives up his chance to be a god on Mount Olympus in order to live a mortal life on Earth with her.
In the animated series: She only appears twice; once when she is a teenager (revealing she was a cheerleader) and another where it is seen in a “clip-show” of her and Hercules becoming wed.
ambitions: She wants to be free from Hades. Get away from her past ( the boyfriend that left her ). Hope that maybe Hercules will prove her wrong about people.
strengths && abilities: She provokes anger in many situations ( which makes it all the funnier ). She is fearless, to sell her soul to the lord of the dead proves how much she is willing to be with someone. Meg is able to "charm" the people around her.
flaws:She fell in love with a man early in life; selling her soul to protect him ( meaning she falls easily and extremely hard for someone ). Her weak ankles make her very vulnerable.
likes: -Cutting remarks, - Getting her way, -Playing "hooky", -Being alone; suppose its better then getting hurt, -Singing, -Bossing others around.
dislikes:- People in general ( she chooses not to trust ), -She wont admit to being in love, -Taking risks, -Knowing she is hurting Hercules ( thanks to Hades ) -The water ( hates wet hair ). -"Man-handling"
fears: Falling in love once more to only be heartbroken again. Letting people into her life because "people are just peddy and dishonest." And the worst of all: heights! ( only to overcome to save Herc ).
what makes this character unique: She is what every women is. Instead of some princess who of course falls in love and everything is fine she has a past life she is trying to get over. Her attitude sets her apart from any ‘normal’ Disney character.
RP SAMPLE
It was a somewhat dull day in the outskirts of Thebes. The town for once not being overran by monsters, well as of the morning. Her brown sandals shuffling the dirt road beneath her thin body. It was apparent the woman was lost in thought. A fixated pleasant smile was upon her face as her soft purple eyes somewhat in a haze.
Her mind thought of this “wonder boy” she had met. How suddenly at a terrified scream a man came to her rescue, that was odd for that to happen to her. A sudden exhale came parting from her soft pinkish lips as the hair blew her brown hair gently. But this gust of air had a slight demeanor to it, it seemed dark and less pleasant. As her feet shuffled below her she suddenly came to a quick holt as the air became almost black around her. Her purple eyes fluttering to awaken herself from her own mind set as then a evil grin came within a few inches away from her face.
“Sugar! Sweetheart! Babe!” a tall gray colored man grinned with frightfully inhuman likeness about him. It was of course the evil Hades’ himself. This made Meg groan with unpleasantness. “So; I sent you to get me a river guardian and here I am sort of…river guardian less…” The evil voice boomed with undertones of anger towards her. She spoke up with a tone of light heartedness, “Look Hades; it wasn’t my fault. There was this wonder boy ‘Hercules’.” She paused to turn around and lean herself against one of the oddly shaped trees nearby. As then the blue-haired demon looked around for his minions Pain and panic. As they talked amongst themselves; Hades growing angrier by the second of the words of the two she spoke allowed; snapping her finger. “He comes on with his big, innocent farm boy routine, but I could see through that in a Peloponnesian minute.” She sifted her hips slightly as she let her hand down away from her face. Her words making the demon even more enraged. A sudden scream came from his cold dead lips, making Meg ‘take cover’ as then the demons blue flames turned red and fully burned the area around him. After a few seconds she stood back up with a grin on her lips. Oh how she loved it when he was miserable. Her lips holding back laughter of pleasure, all she needed was him to say he would have added more years onto her sentence of being his slave all because of a laugh. Knowing Hades he would have done so.
