charrie basics.[/ul]
age: 12
species: Human
birthplace: London, England, UK
movie: Peter Pan (1953)
title: "Oh, Peter!"
why: Wendy has always been my favorite Disney character since I've started playing her! Before I joined Worlds of Disney, I wasn't too much of a fan of her, but I decided I'd go apply for her because I'm such a Peter Pan fangirl. Since then, I've grown to admire Wendy as an inspirational character to many teenagers who endure the same dilemma of growing up and leaving behind childish fantasies.[/ul][/ul]
charrie appearance (all must be at least 5 sentences)[/ul]
facial description: With a long, angelic, and smooth face, Wendy is sure to become a fine lady for her age. At only twelve, her womanly features will soon show up. Still, she wears rather a look of innocence and wonder, especially when you'll find her caught in a daydream. Her blue, dreamy eyes can be rather soothing when telling a bedtime story. Wendy is almost an exact carbon copy of Mary Darling, her loving mother.
mood expressions: Wendy loves to daydream; her face may appear lost in a thought, but never blank, as there's always something wonderful she is dreaming about. She enjoys acting out other characters she has read from her stories; therefore, she takes on many expressions to portray different people. However, Wendy may look her nastiest if one were to find her jealous. As a loving sister, who could be like a mother, she can be described as 'angel like.' Of course, if she were to seek adventure and mischief in Neverland, she'd be quite cunning.
clothing style: Living in the Edwardian England era, Wendy would generally wear a dress. Most of her dresses consist and laces and layers of frocks. Daily, she wears black shoes and white stockings. She prefers to wear blue, her favorite color. In Neverland and all of her childish adventures, she prefers to wear her blue nightgown. Perhaps it is not the most appropriate to wear when out-and-about, but she prefers to consider it as her 'play-clothes.'
body build: Being only a fair child, Wendy still retains a flat chest and slender figure. As she enters adolescence, her figure is subject to alot of changes. Soon she will take in a more womanly appearance. She stands at approximately five feet, but soon her growth spurt should start. Nonetheless, she still retains a graceful, beautiful figure.
any unique traits: Wendy is a rare English beauty, even for a pre-teenager. It is a blessing she takes after her mother's loveliness. But a particularly special feature of her are her lips. So thick and cherry, they're just waiting for a kiss. She had intended on giving a kiss to Peter Pan, but was interrupted by his jealous pixie friend, Tinkerbell.[/ul][/ul]
original charrie analysis. (everything must be in your own words! please be thorough, minimum 5 sentences)[/ul]
One would assume that Wendy would make a very fine lady when grown up. But one would be so shocked to hear that she once refused to grow up. This makes Wendy different than many girls living in her time. Most girls wanted to grow up to become more beautiful and more attractive, while Wendy herself wanted to somehow escape it. It is rather odd to hear that a very quaint, proper lady would refuse to grow up, but ultimately, this makes her unique. Because of her refusal to grow up, she is able to connect with Peter more, and they were soon friends. Even though they had argued about her returning home, they both stayed true to themselves.
Whenever on Wendy's nasty side, she can be very bossy and hostile. Her jealousy can get the better of her, turning her cold and very adult-like, mainly towards her brothers, Peter, and the Lost Boys. Whenever coming to villains, she shows no respect for them at all, although she is never intimidated by them.
She has a tendency to babble, perhaps without even breathing. Babbling has always been her way of expressing excitement through constant chatter.
Overall, Wendy enjoys being and living carefree. But now that she's growing older, she determined to still keep the last bit of childhood within herself.
history: Wendy Darling is the eldest and only girl of three children born to Mary and George Darling. They live on a quiet street in Bloomsbury, but their home was filled with stories, particularly fairy tales such as Peter Pan. Wendy has a fun-filled imagination and often uses it to entertain her younger brothers. She has always been well-liked and admired by both of them. She was perhaps their second mother rather than the older sister.
When Wendy was very young, probably around six years old, her treasured music box depicting a ballerina was lost. All she had left was the key to play the music. Months later, she was quite alarmed to find the same music box right outside her nursery window! Wendy never discovered who was that one creature who returned her most treasured antique, but magic had to be involved.
Mary Darling was rather certain that fairies existed... as long as you believed. Shortly after retrieving her music box, Wendy discovered one of the most shocking, but beautiful scenes in Kesington Gardens. The young child had been chasing dandylions that night, until these remarkable objects led her to crawl under a hedge. Pixie dust scattered about the fountains and ponds of the acclaimed garden located in London. Young Wendy eagerly watched these little creatures fly about, spilling their dust. on the green fields. "I believe." She had murmured. It was perhaps the most brilliant and magical night the child had witnessed. Fairies were real!
Shortly before going on thirteen, her father was fed up with the childishness and declared Wendy to leave the nursery the next morning. This perhaps marked the last of Wendy's childhood days. She was to grow up the next day.
After the family feud, the children were soon tucked into sleep. Unexpectedly, the mysterious Peter Pan arrived to come retrieve his shadow, which Wendy had saved for him in the hopes of his return. Wendy was the very first to wake up to the mess Peter had caused when he had chased that nasty shadow of his. She offered to sew it back on for him. After Wendy had confessed that she was going to grow up the next day, Peter immediately hoped to take her to his homeworld - Neverland. Peter learned that Wendy could be a decent mother for he and the Lost Boys. The girl was too thrilled to express her utter excitement, that she attempted to give the immortal boy a kiss. That was when Tinkerbell entered to yank Wendy's hair in an attempt to stop the kiss.
Peter taught Wendy and her brothers to fly with a bit of Pixie Dust, and they were off soaring to Never Never Land.
Soon the four children reached Neverland, and stood on a cloud in awe of the beautiful island. However, Wendy's ability to fly soon decreased. After having been nearly knocked to the ground by the Lost Boys because of Tinkerbell's jealousy, she started to enjoy Neverland less. She began to dislike it even more after meeting such savages roaming around the island.
Love. Boyish Peter was too oblivious to look into those goggling blue eyes of Wendy's. But Wendy's feelings for Peter partially disappeared upon seeing the boy and Tiger Lily kiss at a party. A jealous Wendy stomped alone to Peter's hideout, determined to leave Neverland. She... she couldn't stay. She needed to grow up. She belonged in London.
Soon, her brothers both feltl very homesick and they all wished to return home to London. Peter had reluctantly let them leave, and warned that they could never come back if they grow up. Wendy and her brothers as well as the Lost Boys soon left and were prepared to go home, without Peter.
However, the road home was interrupted by Hook and his pirates. The children were 'shanghaied' and taken to the ship, offered a choice to whether join the crew or walk the plank. Wendy chose to walk the plank, but was saved by Peter after she had jumped off. Soon, the final battle began. After Peter had defeated Hook, the Darling children were successfully sent home to their quiet street in Bloomsbury.
After finding her parents returning back, Wendy declared she was ready to grow up. She never forgot about the adventure she had with the Spirit of Youth. Although she may never return to Neverland, or perhaps even see Peter again, all she could do is just close her eyes and find her way back... by believing.

what makes this character unique: Wendy is a character many adolescents can relate to. Like many of us about to become adults, Wendy shares the pains of growing up and reluctance of facing new responsibilities. At the same time, despite her age, she forever remains faithful to the spirit of Peter Pan, a symbol of her childhood. For only twelve, she is very mature for her age. She is not at all a very popular and recognizable character in the world of Disney. However, the character of Wendy Darling is one many can identify with.
RP SAMPLE:
Indeed, the weather of England was becoming quite pleasant for one to step out of their homes to take a breather in the fresh blossoming air. Winter had long since left. The icicles had already seeped into the grounds, the snow had slowly dissolved into puddles throughout the countrysides and cities. England was no longer a dull city to roam around on your own.
If only the bitter anger of Wendy Moira Angela Darling had long since dissolved into her blood, this day would not be as horrid as ever. On the positive aspect, she was home in London. Like on a regular basis, the quiet street of Bloomsbury was still quiet. Nothing exciting ever occured here on this dull street. But then again, there was nothing exciting about London whatsoever.
Neverland. Now that was more like it. An enchanting island, a force to be reckoned with, that is. Wendy's last return to Neverland had not been a very pleasant one, having encountered a newcomer who had practically ruined Wendy's exciting re-ecounter with Peter. Perhaps, Wendy's only will to return to Neverland was to keep an eye on that maiden by the name of Giselle. A ridiculous name it was, it suited the silly maiden perfectly. Why, the red-head believed their was such things as happy endings. She had totally lost her senses completely. Why ever would Peter hold an interest toward her?
Then again, Wendy was joyous to be home. The girl was still clad in her blue nightgown, sitting on a solid bench in an empty field of Kensington Gardens, still remaining quiet as ever, Probably the only sound she heard was the withdrawel of a lonely sigh.
