Who am I? Just a conscience!
Introduce yourself
Hey, howdy, hey! The name's Roxy, and I wished upon a star from being here AGES ago. The other characters I play here include Zip, Zilch and Nada. Mowgli and I are so very eager to join the Worlds of Disney circle of life!
Character basics
Character name: Mowgli
Age: 10 years old
Species: Human
Birthplace: Kerala, India
Movie: The Jungle Book
Custom title: Mowgli The Man-Cub
Why: I played Mowgli here in Worlds of Disney about 3 years ago or so, took a break and decided to come back to forum RPing and giving it a try once more. I've always taken a liking to Mowgli's situation, being raised in nature and being surrounded by animals seems like a very cool situation to roleplay, so, that's why I picked him.
Character appearance (try to get at least 2 or 3 sentences for each section)
Hair description: Mowgli has dark brown to an almost black above the shoulder cut. The style seems to be in a somewhat scruffy bob complete with split ends and maybe a hint of dirt to accent it.
Facial description/mood/expressions: Like any child, Mowgli's somewhat vast array of facial expressions tend to change depending on what situation he's in. It can easily go from a happy smile to an expression of annoyance within a matter of seconds since he tends to wear his heart on his sleeve, so to speak.
Clothing style: Mowgli can usually be seen wearing an orange loincloth wrapped around his waist and lower half of his body, though his legs are bare. It was given to him by one of the wolves from the Seeonee Wolf Pack when the light blue blanket that had come with him in his basket had grown too small for him.
Body build: Living on a diet of raw meat, bugs and fruit, Mowgli is actually quite scrawny, though since bugs and meat (even if it's eaten raw)do provide some nutrition so it's not to the point where Mowgli is completely anorexic.
Any unique traits (optional): Unlike most children, Mowgli's senses are rather heightened to that of a normal child his age. His hearing is somewhat fine tuned and his speed is a bit faster than most humans, especially when running all fours though he can tire out quickly since it's difficult for him to run about in that position for too long.
Original character analysis (In your own words and please be thorough)
Personality:
History: Mowgli had been found in a broken down old canoe in the bull rushes of a river in the jungles of India. Being an infant at the time there really wasn't much that he could do but just lay in his light blue blanket and practically wait until Bagheera showed up. Feeling sorry for the Man-Cub, for that is what the animals referred to Mowgli as, he took the infant to a wolf pack that had just had a litter of pups hoping they would accept him. The mother immediately took a liking to Mowgli as well as Rama, his wolf father.
10 years had passed by in a flash and Mowgli had now grown into a young boy with medium length black hair and has acquired an orange wrap to cover himself up. He'd learned how to live like a wolf. Hunt, howl, and most importantly survive. One night the Elders at Council Rock decided that it was unsafe for Mowgli to live with them any longer due to Shere Khan, the man eating tiger, headed back into their part of the jungle. Heading out on a walk that night with Bagheera, the panther revealed the truth to the Man-Cub about where they were headed, but they would embark the start of their journey in the morning as it was getting late. Climbing up a tree, with the help of Bagheera, Mowgli sat stubbornly on a limb and told his friend that he thinks he's able to take care of himself. Eventually Mowgli falls asleep, after having already gotten him into trouble with Kaa the snake and is awakened early the next morning by the sounds of stomping and trumpeting. Swinging down a vine to investigate he discovers that its the Dawn Patrol, a herd of elephants that wakes up the jungle. Deciding to have some fun he joins them until being found out by the herd leader that he wasn't an elephant. Bagheera intercedes on Mowgli's behalf and the duo once again starts the trek toward the Man-Village.
After an argument, Mowgli found him alone, until he heard a rustling noise in the bushes nearby. A giant sloth bear who introduces himself as Baloo appears and the two begin a friendly boxing game and roaring contest. Once getting to know each other a little better, Mowgli decides to stay with Baloo and become a "bear" like him, so in return Baloo teaches Mowgli "The Bare Necessities" which is like his motto for survival. Since the heat of the midday sun was beating down on them, the two head to the river to relax and cool off, only resulted in more trouble for Mowgli. In the trees above the Bander-log have captured him and taken him to their leader, King Louie. Questioning why he was lead to the ruins, Louie explained to Mowgli that he's tired of being an ape and wants to become a man like him, starting with the secret of fire or which Mowgli doesn't know how to create. Meanwhile, Bagheera and Baloo devised a plan to save their little friend, by dancing. Having had a wonderful time, the plan is ruined when Baloo's disguise is foiled and a chase began. Seeing as how the boy got himself into so much trouble, it's decided that Baloo take Mowgli back. Feeling betrayed Mowgli ran away deeper into the jungle only to find himself in more trouble, this time with the crafty serpent Kaa.
Having fallen for his hypnosis trick, Mowgli fell asleep for awhile until being awoken and pushing Kaa out of the tree, feeling rather betrayed by the serpent's so called "trust". Mowgli officially decided he didn't belong anywhere in the jungle, the boy wandered into a desolate area and met a group of vultures and just as he begins to slightly fit in with them, Shere Khan appeared. Showing no fear against the tiger, Mowgli picked up a stick attempting to attack the tiger until the vultures revealed to him that he's afraid of fire. Setting the weapon he had on fire and tied it to the end of Shere Khan's tail the tiger ran off in fear. While in the process of this fight Baloo had fallen while trying to protect his little buddy. Thinking that the bear was gone, the panther and the boy started walking toward the Man-Village until Baloo woke up. Overjoyed Mowgli ran towards his Papa Bear and hugged him tightly in relief. While walking through the jungle Mowgli spied a creature drawing water from a river. Mowgli wanted to get a closer look, since he had never seen another human before. Mowgli climbed a branch and peered out only to fall into the water and embarrassed himself causing him to run back into the leaves, but not too far in. Smitten by the girl's looks he followed her into the Man- Village and ended up staying there.
Ambitions: To stay in the jungle or in this case Walt Disney World for as long as he can
Strengths & abilities: As far as strength and abilities go, Mowgli is a rather quick learner
Flaws:
- Mowgli has a tendency to be quite stubborn and somewhat independent which causes the boy to pout from time to time.
- His naivety is another flaw that Mowgli has since he is pretty easily trusting towards other people and most animals that he comes across.
- He is also slightly cocky in thinking that he can indeed take care of himself even though he is still a little boy.
Likes:
- Mowgli enjoys many things about his jungle home, such as all the high trees and vines of which he can make a makeshift swing out of or get somewhere quickly if he wanted to.
- The food in the jungle was amazing too, so many different types of things to choose from such as prickly pears, ripe bananas, fresh mangoes and even insects on occasion.
- Another thing that Mowgli enjoys are his friends, especially his “Papa Bear” Baloo, Bagheera who’s a good friend of his.
Dislikes:
- Mowgli highly dislikes being bossed around since he’s quite a stubborn and independent little boy.
- Being cooped up is another dislike of his, since he was raised in the jungle for his entire young life, being stuck inside somewhere makes him feel like to the equivalent of an animal in a cage.
- Lying and betrayal is another thing that Mowgli highly dislikes. Ever since the incident with Baloo in the jungle saying that he had to take him back to the Man-Village, Mowgli has been slightly wary of what people’s true intentions are.
Fears:
- The boy fears leaving his home as anybody would. His comfort zone is in the jungle and he would give pretty much anything he had or do almost anything if he didn’t have to leave it.
- Being completely alone is another fear that Mowgli has. Ever since Bagheera left him by himself in the jungle, even if it was temporarily, he had NO idea of what he was going to do, how he was going to defend himself from the dangers of the jungle or in fact survive.
- Shere Khan: Why wouldn’t he fear his nemesis who wants to devour him?
- Mowgli has the fear of being completely civilized, that the humans in the Man-Village did it so much that he would eventually forget about his life in the jungle.
- Being captured and used as a pawn. He's had it happen a few times and he really didn't enjoy it all that much.

PAST TENSE ONLY. MUST BE ABOUT THE CHARACTER FOR WHOM YOU ARE APPLYING.
A new day was beginning to dawn within the jungles of India, and a very special day it was indeed. Today was the day that all the wolf pups of the Seonee wolf pack were going to learn to hunt for themselves, and Mowgli was certainly very eager to prove his skills.
Sitting up and stretching to wake up, the small boy then headed outside into the morning sunshine. The wolf pack elders were already in their places with the younger wolves. “I’m here!” Mowgli called out as he ran over to the group. Some of the wolves rolled their eyes upon the Man-Cub’s arrival. “Why must he hunt with us Akela? He’ll only slow us down.” One commented as a few others nodded in agreement.
The elder wolf said nothing in response as he cleared his throat and began. “It is in accordance with the laws of the Jungle that every pup who comes of age must learn to hunt for himself. Therefore,” he continued. “The time of your testing is now. You must bring back your kill here for the council to see so that we may hold the ceremony and send you out on your way this evening. Good luck O wolves! ”
Yips and howls emitted from the young ones as they all spread out in different directions to go after their prey. Hours seemed to go by and the poor child still hadn’t caught anything. He had tried birds, fish, even an occasional lizard but still no luck. By the time sunset had rolled around, the Man-Cub had nothing to show for his efforts and he sadly wandered back to the council.
“I didn’t catch anything.” He replied sadly as tears began to sting his eyes. Feeling humiliated, Mowgli went and took his place between Rama and Raksha, watching as the ceremony for the others continue on. “Mother?” the boy asked as they settled into their den for the night. “Why didn’t I catch anything? I’ve lived with you guys for as long as I can remember…does this mean that I’ll never be one of the pack?”
Raksha gave her youngest son a tender lick on his cheek. “Do you remember the story that I told you about the little frog who wasn’t able to catch flies?” The boy nodded eagerly. “Yes! He tried and tried but he didn’t get it until one day he did. Right?” The female wolf let out a small laugh.
“Yes you’re right Mowgli, and just like that little frog, you too will be able to catch your own prey in time. Come, let us sleep for it is late and I am sure you are exhausted.” With that, Mother Wolf laid down and fell asleep in almost no time at all. But Mowgli was still feeling rather wide awake with his Mother’s words echoing in his mind. Not being able to sleep, the child woke up and headed outside into the night air, sitting on a nearby rock.
Faint howls, which were actually claims of territory done by the new wolves that had gone out on their own, filled the night which in turn only made Mowgli more frustrated. With a huff, the boy began wandering off into the Jungle to let off some steam.
“Maybe I shouldn’t have left…” the boy mused to himself as he looked around. Since he had been out on his own for at least a little while, every single rustle and snap caused the boy to tense up. “Hello? Who’s there?” he called out as the ebony hairs on the nape of his neck began to stand on end. Grabbing a small stick at his feet, Mowgli held it up in the air as a weapon trying to scare off whatever was there. “If it’s you Shere-Khan! I’m not scared of you!”
