Yzma's face seemed to be set in an eternal scowl. Why she had listened to that miserable person was beyond her. Just go through these trees, it's a shortcut! Yzma had been suspicious, but no one else had been willing to help her.
Shortcut, whatever, Yzma thought to herself, stepping over branches in her path. Path, what path? There was no path! Yzma's foot caught under a root and she went sprawling into a clearing, nearly hitting her head on a stone fountain. The woman grumbled further, wondering why anyone would put a stone fountain in the middle of a clearing in the woods.
Just then, something caught her eye. A flash of light, coming from the fountain itself. Yzma peered in, spotting a silver coin. What luck! Without a second thought, Yzma reached her hand in the cool water of the spring and plucked out the coin. She examined her find, now ignoring the fountain. The coin was unusual to her. In all her long years in the empire, she had never seen such a coin as this.
Yzma's attention was caught by her hand. The skin on her hand seemed to be shrinking, and changing color! Slowly, the color changed to a darker, fuller tan, reminding Yzma of the color of her skin when she had been younger, and before the accident. She had messed up a potion that was supposed to make her taller, the size of a giant; instead, it had turned her skin grey, and nothing had been able to reverse it. She stared in fascination before rushing over to the fountain to see her reflection.
Yzma's skin was indeed the color it had been before Kuzco's birth: a nice, healthy tan. And, Yzma was delighted to notice that she didn't look so tired, so, so... old. That coin must've been more lucky than she'd originally thought! Yzma had intended to put it towards getting her lab set up again, but this magic coin would never be spent, if it made her young and even more beautiful than before!
((Same rules as the last Fountain of Youth thread. Touching the water starts the youthening process. Silver negates it. There's a Spanish inscription on the fountain. That's all I remember right now lol...))
