Hey, howdy, hey! The name's Dylan, and I wished upon a star from The Internet. My other imaginary friends include Kim possible, Megavolt, Kristoff and Hades. Flynn Rider and I are so very eager to join the Worlds of Disney circle of life!

Why: Flynn is one of my favorite characters and it would be a fun challenge to portray him here.

Character appearance


Hair description: He has short hair that, at the most, comes down to his eye level. It is slightly sleek, and is colored a dark shade of brown.

Facial description/mood/expressions: His chin has a small goatee, but his face otherwise lacks any hair excluding his eyebrows. his facial structure is ruggedly handsome, and his eyes are a hazel color.

Clothing style: Eugene wears light brown pants along with chocolate colored boots. He wears a dark turquoise vest over a white, long sleeved undershirt.

Body build: Eugene is as tall as the average man, somewhere around 6'1. He is slightly muscular, most likely from his past life of running away from the authorities.

Original character analysis

Personality:

Eugene is at first a man who is sly, and very mischievous towards anyone he encountered. Thanks to his goal of being as rich as he can get, Eugene would steal anything he could get his hands on throughout the kingdom of corona, usually arrogance making him wisecrack at the authorities that frequently chased him around. Even with his partners he displayed high levels of arrogance and would sooner or later betray them to keep the loot he stole for himself. This emotion is a facade to mask his true nature, which was ironically a lot kinder.

Not long after meeting Rapunzel, his true personality is revealed to be open to friendship and even romance, at least after personally knowing the young woman. He was seen as being more heroic and selfless in his actions, or very sympathetic when it came to addressing his orphan childhood with Rapunzel. he even goes to the brink of giving his own life to save her from Gothel, or immediately going to find her after escaping a death sentence in prison. Once he is saved, Eugene abandons his previous persona for the kinder one he truly had to begin with.

History:

Hey grew up in the Corona orphanage, spending most of his time reading stories to those younger than him. They often depicted a protagonist who went on dangerous and exciting adventures, and the stories inspired him the more he read them. He escaped the orphanage in his teen years and became Flynn Rider, a persona influenced by the hero in his stories. Some years after becoming one of the most infamous thieves in Corona, Eugene partnered up with the deadly stabbinton brothers on a mission to steal the crown of the lost princess from the castle of the king and queen. They managed to steal the crown successfully, but alerted the guards to their presence. They were chased out of the kingdom and into the forest just beyond it, trapping themselves in a huge hole. While the brothers are soon arrested, Flynn was able to trick them into helping him out of the hole and ran off with the crown, chased briefly by a few guards and an intelligent horse named Maximus. A scuffle between man and horse caused Flynn and the bag holding the stolen crown to fall over a cliff, before the thief hurriedly searched for a place to hide and discovered a lone tower deep in the forest. The thief climbed inside the tower's high room and admired his loot, before he was knocked out by a frying pan wielding Rapunzel. he woke up, surprised by the long hair he was tied up and Rapunzel herself, who told him that she'd return his bag to him and let him free...if he took to the kingdom to see the 'floating lights'. Flynn attempted any way he could to convince her to release him, but eventually agree to take her into the kingdom.

When he and Rapunzel climbed down the tower, Flynn appeared to not be phased very much by her changing emotions upon being on the ground for the first time, only because he was planning a way to get rid of her. Having noticed her timid nature towards things that were harmless, Flynn guided her into an oddly named pub filled with seemingly dangerous thugs until they revealed themselves to be friendly towards Rapunzel in particular.They exchanged their dreams with Rapunzel, and Eugene briefly told them of his dream to be the richest man. Once the guards investigate the pub for any sign of Rider, he escaped with Rapunzel through a hidden passage and ended up on the cliff of a canyon residing near a dam. While Rapunzel got herself safely to the ground, Flynn hilariously managed to fight off most of the guards with a frying pan until Maximus knocked it from his hand and forced the man to jump down to Rapunzel. The dam was damaged in the process and sent a huge wave after the two,which forced them into a cave made of rubble that was slowly filled with water. Flynn injured his hand trying to get them out of the doomed area and admitted that there way no way out, news that sent Rapunzel into tears. Flynn revealed his true name to be Eugene, saying that she might as well know before they drowned. Rapunzel told him that she had glowing hair whenever she sung, which confused him until she sang and her glowing hair revealed a hole in their cave. they escaped and emerged on a river bank, where Eugene was completely flabbergasted by her hair's ability. At their campfire, Eugene told Rapunzel more about his past exchange for her telling her past, all while he started to feel a fondness of her.

The next day Maximus attacked Eugene once again, until Rapunzel used the knowledge of her birthday to form an alliance between the two just for one day. They all traveled into the kingdom without raising any suspicion, where Rapunzel and Flynn enjoyed some of the daytime activities with both people and children. Flynn's fondness of her continued to grow and reached a climax by the time night fell and they were both in a boat to get a better look at the lanterns in the sky. The two nearly kiss one another, but Flynn drew away once he spotted the Stabbington brothers on the shore. He went ashore and found them with the intention of giving them the crown to leave Rapunzel alone, but was knocked out and sailed towards awaiting guards on a boat. he is taken into prison, and was sentenced to be hanged the next day.

When he was taken down the hall to be hanged, Eugene managed to get the Stabbington brothers to reveal that they had been informed about Rapunzel by Mother Gothel. With the sudden help of the pub thug as well as Maximus, Eugene arrived at the tower and climbed up by Rapunzel's hair. He realized too late that Mother Gothel had tied her up, and was stabbed mortally by the woman before she tried to drag Rapunzel away. Rapunzel went Eugene's side once she convinced Gothel to let her heal him, but he cut her hair completely before she could heal him and effectively turned Gothel to dust since she had relied on Rapunzel's hair to stay alive. Eugene told Rapunzel with his last breath that she was his new dream, and succumbed to his fatal wounds. A tear from Rapunzel fell on his cheek, before the hidden healing abilities within blossomed and healing his knife wound completely. He was revived almost immediately after this and commented on Rapunzel's new hair color, before she excitedly kissed Eugene. he returned to the castle with her and at first watched Rapunzel's reunion with her parents, before he was pulled into a group hug by her mother. Some unspecified years later, Eugene married Rapunzel and lived 'happily ever after'.

Ambitions: Being the richest, Abandoning his life as a thief, Being with Rapunzel

Strengths & abilities: He is master at stealing objects, even if they are heavily guarded. He is also skilled to a some degree with a sword, although he substituted briefly with a frying pan.

Flaws: His stealing habits don't easily die. He can sometimes catch himself with a silver item that he could've gotten a simpler way.

Likes: Rapunzel, Adventure, Pascal, Maximus, Frying pans, his looks, brunettes

Dislikes: Mother Gothel, Stabbington Brothers, stealing, pictures that don't get his nose right

Fears: Losing Rapunzel or her being hurt
