Much as Moana enjoyed exploring this new, interconnected, set of differing islands put together (as she'd come to see it was more like than one island itself) the ocean spots of it were by far her favorite and she kept gravitating there and to the shore same as she had on Motunui. How her people's big canoe had been swapped for her own one grabbed from the boat cavern still puzzled the girl, but Magic and all was a very good wide sweeping explanation!
And why question it too far when exploring was now more possible and she didn't have to rebuild any boat, just keep up and repair hers. She kept it docked in the same seas she'd come from and, though hearing about another "portal", and eager to see that one also, wasn't sure how she would exactly get the boat there if one couldn't reach it by sailing, as she'd also heard. There were big, loud carts here that maybe could help, but all that also a problem for another day!
"Ok Pua, you gonna come this time?", Moana paused in shoving off her boat and glanced to her pig, "You were already on it like two times not counting the bad time, first the big boat and now...", her counting it to herself seemed to give Pua time enough to make up his piggy mind and he clambered on. "That's the spirit!", Moana cheered her pet, then, setting HeiHei in the below deck storage but with the door open so he was secure in his own little space, Moana shoved off and hopped onto her canoe. "Ok, let's see exactly how wide this spot they say we can't leave is" she said, rowing, then grinned, "Ha! Can't leave, we all know how that went last time!", Moana grinned down to her two pets and was completely content with carrying the conversation. Of course this kind of magic sounded a lot more firm on such rules than even her father had been.
