Jumba Jookiba was on a mission. A two-fold mission, and even if the first part of it, about intel, just came to him and back to his recollections. Again, and as he'd told 625 and Jake a few days ago, setting up in the Polynesian Resort had just been a call to the familiar. Living arrangements were secure, but especially if he was going to work on the problem of this place and being here, Jumba knew he needed a lab. Outside of the very flammable room. It was why back on Kauai he had set up shop outside in his space ship; for once he sort of agreed with Nani's paranoia.
There were no space ships waiting to be turned into labs here, though.
The water ship in Disney Land Paris had also looked homey, given if he set up there he would almost be reminded of his space ship lab, but there were so many people filing past and through night and day! It was no place to do anything! Even not-too-evil things. No, he needed somewhere that wasn't also an attraction!
In typical Jumba Logic, the Evil Genius changed this criteria the moment he saw that it may suit purposes. He was walking through Tomorrowland, just casually, on his search, when a giant display of 626 paused him mid-stride! That was being right! Jake had said something about intel on him and his Experiments! But this looked like intel on 626's escape as well, if the little red suit he had custom given his experiment was anything to go on.
Jumba had barged past the waiting line of people, "Excusing me! Is being very important I see what's inside!", to investigate, and before he was quickly shuffled out and about his way, the Cast Member's not answering his questions about how they found out so much.
So Jumba did what any Evil Genius would. He waited until that night and snuck into the closed down attraction for a close look of his own. He knew he should probably tell 625, and enlist his Experiment's help (why specifically design him with powers if he wasn't going to use them for his own purposes, and much as 625 didn't like doing things, the Experiment would no doubt agree to help if it helped with his lab position he'd promised), and even if he didn't know if he had moved yet, that Super kid, and his mother had returned 032, who by squeaks had managed to at least tell his name, Fibber, and he could probably find him. But Jumba went all stealth and didn't tell either.
Two of his Experiments, not only activated but already caught and named by Lilo. Jumba could already tell he was so behind. And he didn't even realize yet that Lilo was here or knew even less. And her knowledge, or lack there of, would either work for him or force him to come clean about how many he made twice.
And then both Experiments here! In addition to the intel on 626! He had to crack this, or at least get some answers!
There was still security about the parks, so Jumba didn't feel like he could turn anything inside the place back on for fear of detection, but the full knowledge of what little he had seen and semi-investigated closer was staggering enough!
No, all of this had to go!
And...if the reclaimed space just so happened to turn into a lab, that was a bonus! Pleased with his own idea, and patting himself on the back mentally over and over for what a good job he was doing, shutting down intel on his 626 and finding a lab all in one night, Jumba fell into over-confident laxness and allowed himself to shut his eyes for a second before beginning work.
A second that turned into sleeping most of the night curled against a console, and only waking up to try to begin work too close to opening for the ride. So he didn't get to dismantle or take down much before the Cast Members to find him, and their back-up, were still politely ushering him out again!
"Look, I can't explain it right now...Sir...but, it's fine!", one young upstart of a male human child about Nani's age tried to explain, and looked understanding, but also a terrified type of firm, as only they could. Jumba, put out by the humans doing so well in stopping him, huffed, "Is all not being good!" he grumbled.
There were also a few bellowed threats before any of the crowds showed up, but they did no good, and by the time anything like a crowd had formed, Jumba was reduced to pacing and muttering.
