Who am I? Just a conscience!
Introduce yourself
Hey, howdy, hey! The name's Nobunaga, and I wished upon a star from old habits. My other imaginary friends include no one else! Simba and I are so very eager to join the Worlds of Disney circle of life! He knows all about it.
Character basics
Character name: Simba
Age: Two years and a few weeks
Species: Lion
Birthplace: Pride Lands
Movie: The Lion King
Custom title: Hakuna matata!
Why'd you pick this character? This time, I am going for a new light in Simba’s broad pallet of personalities. Everyone needs a bright smile to shine up their day; and no smile is better than a toothy one coming from the lion who can, definitely, wait to be king!
Character appearance
Hair description:
You mean… His mane? It will be as lush as the young grass and as big as the great desert! As red as his father’s, for sure! For now, he already has one thread! And it’s a really important one.
Facial description/mood/expressions:
Simba’s eyes are red, in a deep and royal shade. A perfect short feline snout hiding dangerous tiny shark teeth! His smile is bright and large; and that’s only because he practices it in every opportunity! The tuff of fur on top of his head is golden; for now. He will soon have a perfect mane! Just like his father.
Clothing style:
He is one of those who like to feel the chilly breeze against his fur.
Body build:
Compared to the king, Simba is small. He is larger than a house cat, and bigger than Zazu! He promises. His body lacks the muscles shown in a full-grown lion, but they will come with time. He is a healthy heir to the throne.
Any unique traits (optional):
All of them! He is the mane event after all.
Original character analysis
Personality:
Simba is not just a child. He is a bright child. His smile can melt the coldest hearts. Even his grumpy uncle is so nice to him! He is prince charming in tail and mane. Maybe not quite that… What about the pranks? They are the best way to have fun, which is one of the most important things for the lion! That and pouncing Zazu. Man, it never gets old! Oh! That time he hid himself and roared to scare Timon! He got mad!
Simba once had responsibilities he had to attend to; he once had rules he had to follow. He once had a destiny. Now? He doesn’t have any of that; and he doesn’t need any of that to be happy! It is good to live without pressure, to just be yourself and nothing more. Or, at least, it’s a relief for him to know he can pretend to.
Once a prince, you are always a prince. Deep down, he knows that; and he still blames himself for what he did. All this problem is his fault because he couldn’t handle the responsibility. The true reason for him not returning is that he believes he does not deserve to be king. He failed, and now it was time to let it go. Or the nightmares will never stop coming.
History:
On the very day Simba was born, the whole savannah sung praises. To the new heir to the throne. Every single animal was happy with his existence! Even his uncle, who wasn’t in the ceremony because of… important stuff. He grew up to be a happy little brat. He became known for his pranks… He once covered a zebra’s white strips with mud, and the others couldn’t tell which one it was! Oh! And that time he elected himself the King of all elephants after climbing on top of one, and spent the whole day hopping from one pachyderm to the other. Yet, he never did anything seriously wrong… Oh. Yeah. That. He once managed to fool Zazu and escape into the elephant graveyard. Long story short, he fought off some hyenas and his father helped finish them off. Their legs were shaking after they heard his roar! He got scolded for that, since there was kind of an important rule about never leaving Pride Lands… But that would not prevent him from leaving Pride Lands again.
To be honest, he would only leave Pridelands once more in his life after that. Just once. And he would never come back. He was done with the kingdom! Something… rather unpleasant happened, and it was enough to end his need to become a king. Now, he would rather wait for it. Or even don’t be a king at all! Surely, they could find someone else to be the king. He might not be a king as good as Simba would, but at least he would deserve it.
After the incident, Simba ran to the desert. He was not in a good shape. He almost became hyena food… And vulture’s too! But his first part in the circle of life was not over. He was saved by two curious individuals! A warthog named Pumba, and a meerkat named Timon rescued the lion from the desert, and took him to their own share of the heavens; the Great Jungle! A beautiful, beautiful place. Simba had not to worry about food, for it being abundant (slimy and satisfying!). He had not to worry about time, for it not being important anymore. He could go back at any point, but… Why should he? He was perfectly fine where he was. And they had probably found another king at this point! He was not needed, and he was quite happy to live without pressure. Happy to finally be as free as he could be.
Ambitions:
It is, of course, to forget your past and live the day! Yet, if he had one wish, it would be to bring his father back.
Strengths & abilities:
Simba’s most important quality is his big heart. He is always there for others when they need him, and there is nothing he will not risk losing to protect a friend.
Flaws:
Simba is not experienced… In anything. He is too naive for his own good. He is a sore loser. Also, everywhere you look at, he is standing in the spotlight; and he might like it a bit too much. He doesn’t want any new responsibilities for himself. None is already more than what he can deal with!
Likes:
Nala. The sunset. His mother. Staying up late. His freedom to come and go whenever he wishes. Having nothing to do all day. His uncle. The water hole. The jungle pound. And, of course, zebras and ladybugs!
Dislikes:
Hyenas. The sun rise. Being ordered what to do. Responsibilities. Being bored. Feeling useless. Hyenas. Tongue baths. Being followed by Zazu. His father being busy. Losing against Nala. Losing in general. Hyenas.
Fears:
Growing to be a horrible king. Being unable to save those he love. Being left alone. No, scrap that. Being responsible for another failure and being left alone.
Anything to add?:
Did I mention he is a working on his RoOAR?
RP SAMPLE:
-Come on, Nala! Are you afraid?~ They said they will be busy all day, they will never know we slipped out! And we will be back before the sunset.
The lion spoke to his best friend while them both lazed on a warm rock in the savannah, surrounded by the tall grass. Earlier this morning, their mothers said they would be out hunting, and ordered them to behave. Once his father was always busy, it meant no one would stop them if they stepped outside of Pride Lands!
-I promise I will protect you from those nasty hyenas~-He said with his chest stuffed high.
He should have seen it was not a good choice of words. Or tone. He didn’t get an answer, but Nala would make her point trough pouncing him. The prince was caught by surprise. “That is not fair!” Neither are Hyenas. Yet, surely, they were not as a threat as this lioness. They rolled; the gap in the leaves moving around while they wrestled. He managed to push her two times but, sooner than it should, he found himself pinned against the ground, with a paw on his chest keeping him in place. He snorted with a not so amused face.
-Humff. Fine... Let’s go to the water hole then.
