The “haul” wasn’t all that big, though it never had to be. It was a bit the Risk/Reward of it all. Mostly it was being Five. Princes even, who’s father thought the world of them, and that they were his legacy; as he did Merida too.
The three missed their family, but also were adaptable, as young kids.
The food around here, and on the carts, was Nine-times-out-of-Ten worth it too! Whatever they chose. It was tried and true Corn Dogs today.
“A little ov’ur...”, Harris whispered. Hubert, on the bottom of the pile of them, scooted a bit. Hamish reached over. A glance showed the man was distracted by a lady currently. Perfect! His tiny hand grabbed two corn dogs and handed them to Harris for safe keeping as he quickly grabbed another three even! Because he could!
Then the tower of Scottish princes came apart and they ran. Fact that there were five corn dogs, and so it was an uneven split, was math that they were not aware of yet and until that debate came up.
For the most part, the three got on well and any fighting would probably be minimal.
"Yea!", Hubert cheered as they rushed along, taking one of the corn dogs Harris held over to him. He bit it, the three looking for their next adventure (though if it was just enjoying the corn dogs that was fine).
Harris spotted it though. He suddenly paused, eyes widening. ”Merida!”. In fact Hubert ran into him because of it. After shaking that off, the other two looked to what had caught their brother's attention.
Honestly it was a miracle the three had gone this long without encountering the Merida of the Meet and Greets; timing had just always been on both’s side. And they were easily distracted.
Dropping their corn dogs, the three all rushed over now, to the side of the line of people, and Hubert cut in front of a girl about their age as they clambered towards their sister (they thought). Of course even without her backing up, they were going to quickly realize their mistake, but currently they were in advancing mode.
