Elsa waited in a side room near her Meet and Greet lookalike. She usually avoided them, finding it bizarre to see someone wearing her dress and pretending to be her. Between Anna's disappearance and arrival, Elsa had actively avoided them, finding the not-Anna a bit upsetting. This was a special case, though, because her park-paid counterpart had important business to attend to. Maya had asked Elsa to fill in for a few hours.
It was time.
The hours passed rather quickly. Elsa saw a few hundred faces in that time, signed dozens of books, and posed for hundreds of pictures. She didn't craft anything from ice, partly because she knew it would take more time than she had. She did use her magic for most of the pictures, making small snow fountains from her hands. She heard quite a few people wondering at the special effects.
Near the end of her time there, Elsa considered her life in the parks. She had spent some time considering calling out with the four-note tune she had used while seeking her destiny, but she had been afraid. Afraid of an answer, and afraid of silence. It had seemed easier to just not try. Since it wasn't a fear that affected her overall, like her fear of her powers had done, Elsa had felt it better to ignore it. If she never tried, she would be no better off than she was right now.
Unfortunately, one of the last groups--a trio of small girls and their parents--had asked her to sing the notes. Elsa didn't feel that she could refuse them; they couldn't possibly understand her internal struggle with it. As personal as it was, she didn't feel comfortable explaining it either. But they were indoors, and she hadn't heard the call since her arrival in the parks years ago. What was one time?
"Ah-ah, ah-ah!"
