Who am I? Just a conscience!
Introduce yourself
Hey, howdy, hey! The name's Slinky, and I wished upon a star from my friend, Neo. My other imaginary friends include Zira, Kronk, Zazu, Tito. Slinky and I are so very eager to join the Worlds of Disney circle of life!
Character basics
Character name: Slinky Dog
Age: A Toy/Dog
Species: Dachshund Toy
Birthplace: Mattel Toy Factory
Movie: Toy Story (series)
Custom title: Toy's Best Friend
Why'd you pick this character? Slinky is a brave, but also funny character. He does great as whatever kind of dog he wants to be, whether a lovable friend or an attack dog. I'm a huge fan of Jim Varney as Ernest, and Slinky takes after Ernest in ways. Second to Lion King, Toy Story is the story/movie I have watched the most and seen the most of (but have yet to see 3 or 4).
Character appearance (try to get at least 2 or 3 sentences for each section)
Hair description: Slinky has brown plastic 'fur' covering his body except naturally his mid-section. He has lighter cream colored fur around his muzzle and feet.
Facial description/mood/expressions: As a dog Slinky, his ears are a major component of his expressions. Standing up when surprised or angry, and lowering when sad. He snarls when he is on the offense, his spring acting like a cat's back.
Clothing style: Slinky does not wear clothes, as a toy dog.
Body build: Slinky is a plastic dog modeled after a dachshund who is 'alive'. His main feature is that his mid-section is a spring like a Slinky, able to extend to great lengths and snap back.
Any unique traits (optional): His slinky mid-section, as mentioned. His nature as a living toy. A loop on his chest, his slinky tail.
Original character analysis (In your own words and please be thorough)
Personality:
Slinky is defined by his loyalty to his friends, especially Woody. He can be a bit slow at times, especially when it comes to anything with a double meaning he often gets it wrong. He isn't blindly loyal, but it takes a lot for him to turn his back on a friend and it makes him guilty, especially if he still ends up being wrong. He can also act rashly when he thinks he is doing the right thing, as shown in the second movie.
History:
Slinky Dog has been a toy of Andy's for a long time, and for just as long a friend and companion of Sheriff Woody. When a new toy, Buzz Lightyear became Andy's favorite he was one of the many toys that played into the plot. He would eventually discover that he was wrong and try to help Woody, though not successfully and restore his relationship to the Sheriff.
He makes friends with just about all the toys, and even Andy's dog thanks to being able to understand him, and went on a rescue mission to save Woody, maintaining his role of a loyal dog full of wit, brave enough to put his namesake mid-section to work.
Ambitions:
Slinky is largely about friends, making new ones or keeping the ones he has together or rescuing them if they are taken from him. It's all about friendship!
Strengths & abilities:
Loyalty to his companions. Bravery, especially when playing a hero. Sureness of himself and what he believes.
Flaws:
Strong sense of guilt when he is wrong or fails at his goal. Can be dim-witted at times, especially when it comes to words.
Likes:
As a dog, Slinky likes being pet and played with. His playful nature extends into board games such as checkers, happily finding things to do from what is laying around so long as he has a friend who can find the time.
Dislikes:
Slinky really dislikes bad news, fighting, or people taking his friends, keeping them apart, or threatening him or his friends.
Fears:
He intensely fears losing friends, especially Woody; and is sensitive to any sort of conflict between them, he would do much better with enemies that he can stand up to rather than having to pick sides or mediate.
