Expounding on Knowledge {Dash, Morgan, Lilo}

{I'm good with Lilo either being with Dash and Morgan or already there, so that Jumba's either talking to himself or Lilo. However . Also let's just say no posting order}

After helping Dashiell Robert Parr and his family come up with a tracker for his baby brother, along with that inventor-fashionista Edna, Jumba was reminded of what the boy's mother said about Dash needing to continue his studies here in the parks. Not that the boy wasn't very bright, and had made an excellent step in assistant, but as Jumba explained scientific stuff, it hit him he should be doing this for Lilo as well. And not just because even now Pleakley was often asking him annoying questions about her progress!

So he'd told both his adopted niece and the young boy that if they stopped by he would "Expand on puny Earth knowledge of science and explain all wonders".

Maybe a bit ambitious for the day!

Teach them, at the least, as he had told Dash's mother he would. Dash mentioned knowing another little girl who had brought up how they didn't go to school here and seemed interested in learning and so Jumba had told him he could of course invite her along. After he saw how it went with the three, he might even look into if there were any other kids in the parks in need of science lessons.

Though the boy had mentioned that some sort of brainy mouse was onto his tracks so to remember and call him Dashiell in front of the girl, as he had had to use that to guard his Super-Hero name. "Ok...", Jumba checked his supplies, "Are having board for writing and dusty chalk that makes one cough, just like all Earth teachers, as well as primitive books, complete with Jumba's notes of how are false...am thinking we are set in all things!", the scientist commented.

When Mom first started talking about how Dash needed to go to school in the parks, the boy got worried; so much so, he even tried to ignore Morgan's comment on it, and when the both shared where they had gone to school. Before coming here. But the farthest Mom had been able to solve the problem was to ask Mr. Jumba to teach science.

Oh, well, that was different!

And Dash would readily agree to learning science from the alien! He even next mentioned it to Morgan, and since the girl was looking for a solution to the not going to school problem also. Dash knew he shouldn't say such in front of his Mom, if he didn't want another equality lecture, but...girls could be weird. Wanting to go to the boring form of school?!

Anyway, this was a safe solution, and would make everybody happy! So Dash (Dashiell. He had to recall he had only given Morgan his full name for his secret identity) walked along happily, and chatty, enough as he showed Morgan the way. "And you'll like Mr. Jumba, don't worry, he's cool".

Dash hadn't told about the alien thing yet...he would have to see if Morgan noticed. Jumba was keeping his secret so he would keep the alien's.

Lilo was thrilled that Nani was in the parks.

She was far less thrilled that Nani had liked Jumba's idea about school. She'd been in the parks for long enough that she was used to not having school. And now Nani was insisting. All because of Jumba's idea.

Lilo sat on Jumba's wide spinny chair and kicked her feet side to side, trying to spin. "How'd you come up with this school thing anyway?" Lilo asked, her voice slightly nasally in her whine. "And how come we have to have others here? Are you still gonna show some cool alien stuff?" When Lilo and Stitch had watched Jumba do experiments at home, he'd had some cool alien stuff he could show them. Of course, Stitch didn't seem to think those things were as cool as Lilo did. She thought it was because he was an alien.

Lilo perked up slightly at hearing that Jumba would be disproving some things in the books he'd mentioned. "Can we make something blow up?" she asked. She gave up on trying to spin, and decided to just kick her feet forward and back instead.

Working around and amidst Lilo's chatter was not only something Jumba had perfected, but something he would say he had missed, so he didn't even have to glance over to her from straightening the books to answer her latest string of question as she sat trying to spin in one of his chairs.

"How'd you come up with this school thing anyway? And how come we have to have others here? Are you still gonna show some cool alien stuff?"

"Was being half my own idea, that little Earth kids could benefit and...half suggestion from lady who helped one of Jumba's other Experiments. She is paying in cookies so have to teach her son too". Jumba grinned. He'd already determined that Lilo didn't know about the 625 other Experiments, though since Reuben was around his lab so much, and now 322 was here, he knew it was only a matter of time before she found out, so also didn't try to beat around the issue.

032 had gone back, though, so there was no use trying to explain the Experiment Helen had helped save, and not for the purposes of the story anyway.

It had also been more of Helen's idea than Jumba was letting on, but...he had to try to not make it sound like it was all the Earth woman's doing, cool as she was, and to let him test her baby to come up with the tracker for them.

"Can we make something blow up?"

Jumba chuckled, "Of course! Is very important part of Science teaching", he assured...and answered before his other students and any adults perhaps escorting them got here. "Will be liking young Dashiell, not to be worrying", he went on, walking over and giving the chair a small spin as he saw that was what Lilo was going for. He didn't know about the other girl the boy mentioned, but was sure she was fine.

After the experience with having her credit card stolen, it was safe to say that the little First Grader kept her eyes peering behind her while she walked every now and then. She even walked a little closer to Dashiell, not that he would be able to do anything in case of danger, but it was just nice not walking alone. Her daddy took her to karate lessons, but that kind of went out the window in times of trouble, as that proved. She told Dashiell about what had happened with the mouse and that super fast superhero, so at least he'd know why she was acting that way. Well, also her Jessie doll that she was also carrying with her, but Dashiell didn't know that she could talk. 

"And you'll like Mr. Jumba, don't worry, he's cool".

Dashiell's talking kept her mind distracted from the danger though, so Morgan was secretly thankful for that. It wasn't so much that Morgan liked school, given that she had trouble making friends, it was just an activity that she could do that felt.. normal. Besides, if her daddy ever came here and found out that there were classes here that she wasn't taking, he might question why she would skip out on them. She smiled in comfort knowing that the teacher seemed cool, though she wasn't sure what to make of a cool teacher. Most of her teachers seemed nice, but nothing like the way Dashiell spoke about Mr. Jumba. Since they were going to do a science class with Mr. Jumba, she decided to open up about her school while they talked. "...And the Dalton School is realllyy long. We don't even finish until 12th grade!" She remarked, sharing how long that seemed to stay in a school. Truth be told, everyone ends up going to high school after middle school, but for the 6 year old, it just seemed longer because it was all in one school, from Kindergarten to 12th grade.

They stopped as soon as they seemed to reach their destination, where Morgan noticed two people in the room that she didn't recognize. "Hi.." Morgan said shyly as soon as they, her hazel eyes glancing from the other girl to the teacher that Morgan thought was Mr. Jumba. She quietly stared up at the teacher, a little caught off guard by his blue skin, but more out of interest and curiosity than anything else. Was he a fairytale creature? If he was, Morgan had no idea what to make of it. The shy little girl suddenly became very aware of everyone around her and she suddenly drew a blush across her cheeks upon noticing that she was the only one wearing uniform. "Are we supposed to wear uniforms?" Morgan asked, hoping Mr. Jumba would tell them what uniforms to wear for next time. She wore her Dalton School one since that was what she was wearing when she came here. It wasn't that Morgan was happy to wear uniforms, it was just that wearing uniforms to school was all Morgan knew about school. It was a private, prestigious Ivy League school that was very strict because they were all about preparing them for the university. Schools that didn't wear uniforms were just unheard of for the 1st grader.

"Wow...that sounds really brave!".

Dash felt very proud of himself. Firstly as Morgan, unknowingly, gave him a progress report of sorts on how well he'd done recovering her stolen credit card! Of course, she didn't know it was him and it hadn't been completely alone, Basil had helped. Still, hearing civilians talk about his heroics was very fulfilling! Even if he had to not show any signs of familiarity with the tale, and act just as stunned and surprised as she had been the story progressed, like he hadn't been there.

That was the second thing he was proud of. How well he did with that! But boy was it hard!

Of course, Mom was always saying how they shouldn't want or need recognition for the job they did. That that wasn't why they did it (never-mind having to keep their identities secret), and Dash got that, but...he tended to agree with his father (in a lot of things) and posing for press pics in Super Identity also wasn't bad, and agreeing with the public that you did do a good job!

Unfortunately there hadn't been any press for that story.

Still, Morgan's praise was kind of enough, even if Dash couldn't take any credit. It was surprising to realize he counted the little girl a friend, and only because she was so much younger than him he almost felt he was babysitting while still of the age to be watched himself!

Hence their chatting amiably about school on the way to a not too bad class of lessons.

"...And the Dalton School is realllyy long. We don't even finish until 12th grade!"

"Yeah", Dash agreed, "My school's really long too, and then I think my mom's gonna want me to go to college when it's done, you know, if we ever get back, but...I think I'll just go into the job my dad has". Which was not selling insurance...

"That or be a race-car driver!"

A race-car driving superhero had to be like the best job ever!

"Hi Mr. Jumba! What cool things are we gonna learn?", Dash greeted the alien scientist as they walked in, next noticing the other little girl as Morgan asked about uniforms. He was apparently the oldest kid in Mr. Jumba's current class. Not a bad thing.

"Hi", Dash next greeted her, "I'm Dashiell Robert Parr".

Both young Dashiell Robert Parr, and the little friend he brought with him, greeted Jumba and Lilo upon entering. "Hello! Please to be coming in", Jumba waved them inside.

"Hi Mr. Jumba! What cool things are we gonna learn?"

"Oh, all of the Science, including what Earth Scientist are not knowing of yet even!", was still perhaps not that clear of an answer.

"Are we supposed to wear uniforms?"

Thankfully Jumba knew what the little girl meant. He was used to the concept of uniforms from Lilo's Hula School, and even on his home planet of Kweltikwan, where even if they didn't always understand why their garage had to blow up so many times, his parents recognized and aided their son's scientific genius with good schooling, the higher learning institutions had such.

"Oh no no, do not be worrying, no uniforms required, though am liking yours", Jumba made sure to compliment, and so the one new kid who didn't know him wouldn't feel out of place. He tried to keep it very well hidden, but Jumba really was a sucker for kids, or easily drawn in by them. Which hopefully Dash or Lilo wouldn't exploit before the day was out...

"Be allowing me to introduce myself. Am Dr. Jumba Jookiba. Genius Scientist from Planet Kweltikwan", since both Lilo and Dash knew, Jumba figured he'd best just get it out there for Dash's friend, whom the boy said was trustworthy, and for the sake of the class.

"but we are keeping whole alien thing a bit secret", he winked with one of his larger eyes. Hoping the little girl would be alright with helping continue said secret, but not too concerned.
