Who am I? Just a conscience!
Introduce yourself
Hey, howdy, hey! The name's Sephy, and I wished upon a star from Google?. My other imaginary friends include Helen Parr, Jack-Jack Parr, Papá Héctor, Gaston, Morgan, and Destin Mattias . Pinocchio and I are so very eager to join the Worlds of Disney circle of life!
Character basics
Character name: Pinocchio
Age: Equivalent to a 7 year old boy
Species: Puppet
Birthplace: Italy
Movie: Pinocchio
Custom title: Little Puppet Made Of Pine
Why'd you pick this character? I love Pinocchio’s innocence and his struggle to choose right from wrong in order to be a real boy for his father.
Character appearance (try to get at least 2 or 3 sentences for each section)
Hair description: Pinocchio has short, black hair that exposes his wooden ears and is parted to the side. He does have a long, tuft of black hair towards the front of his face that serve as his bangs.
Facial description/mood/expressions: This marionette is mostly seen smiling, as he was painted to be, even fully capable of laughing when he finds something funny or when something is tickling him. Yet his second most used expression would be one of curiosity or wonder, with his mouth becoming more circular as he takes in new concepts with his large blue eyes. Pinocchio is fully capable of crying real tears when he’s sad and although he has never been angry at anyone, he is capable of being very determined when he’s set on saving someone he cares about, like his father.
Clothing style: Pinocchio has a yellow hat made of cloth with a blue stripe and an attached red feather that he wears atop of his raven colored hair. He has a blue cotton bow around his wooden neck, with a vanilla cream colored cotton shirt underneath. Over his cotton shirt, he wears a black cotton vest that is embroidered at the ends. Finally, he wears red corduroy shorts with yellow buttons and blue embroidery on the side. His brown shoes are made of wood, however. Finally, Pinocchio wears white gloves on his hands.
Body build: This puppet is made of pine wood that has been carved out to be a skinny little boy.
Any unique traits (optional): Did I mention he's a puppet that has no strings?
Original character analysis (In your own words and please be thorough)
Personality:
Though Pinocchio is a puppet made of wood, he is very expressive and curious about the world around him. Although he is capable of crying real tears, he makes a great effort to be optimistic. His blue eyes absorb everything around him, which enables him to be very quick to learn new concepts. This leads him to being quick on his feet when the situation calls him to be brave.
Given that he has never had friends before, Pinocchio unfortunately tends to be a people pleaser. Most times, he can be so focused on making friends that he would tend to not listen to his conscience, or Jiminy, regarding doing things that are right or wrong. He is so outgoing and friendly to anyone he meets without judgment, but he is also naive and gullible to the point where he would have no idea that someone is a bad influence on him unless they make an obvious move to trap him in a cage or threaten to turn him into firewood. Thus, he can easily be distracted, derailed, and persuaded into doing things without realizing the consequences of new experiences. As a result of his people pleasing, he can tend to lie in order to prevent from disappointing anyone.
History:
It's hard to say when Pinocchio was born, as the puppet was carved from pine wood and clothed by an old toymaker named Gepetto, who also lived with a cat named Figaro and a fish named Cleo. Yet the moment the Blue Fairy heard Gepetto's wish about Pinocchio being a real boy, he was alive; however, he still wasn't truly a real boy. The Blue Fairy told Pinocchio that whether he would be real or not can be based entirely on his own actions; he could deserve to be a real boy so long as he could prove to be brave, truthful, and unselfish.
Unfortunately, that was easier said than done, even after being designated a conscience, Jiminy Cricket, to guide him into deciding right from wrong. As soon as he left to school the next day, he ended up running into Honest John and Giddy, who successfully derailed him from school and convinced him that being an actor was the life for him. He was so persuaded by the exciting life of an actor, that he ignored Jiminy's advice and continued being mislead by Honest John. Then, Pinocchio was unknowingly sold off to Stromboli, the traveling puppeteer, as part of the main act in a show that demonstrated to the public that he was a puppet without strings. The show about a wooden puppet without strings proved to be very successful, bringing lots of money for Stromboli despite not giving Pinocchio even a cent of it. Unfortunately, Pinocchio only realized Stromboli's true, selfish personality too soon upon mentioning wanting to go home to proudly tell his father, and he was suddenly locked into a bird cage and threatened to be firewood when he would no longer be of use to Stromboli. Pinocchio felt trapped, causing him to cry until he was met with the comfort of Jiminy, who tried to help him and sadly failed. That was, until the Blue Fairy, came to help them, that is. When asked what happened, Pinocchio didn't want to disappoint the Blue Fairy, so he kept lying after being questioned, causing his nose to blossom into a tree until it withered. Pinocchio apologized for lying and begged the Blue Fairy to give him another chance, to which she thankfully agreed and even helped them out of the cage.
Once he was free from Stromboli's caravan, Pinocchio and Jiminy set off to the house until Pinocchio bumped into Honest John again. Although he was adamant about not being an actor again, Pinocchio was once again persuaded by Honest John and derailed from his journey once more after getting a ticket to Pleasure Island once he was falsely diagnosed to being allergic and convinced that he needed a holiday. When they headed to Pleasure Island, Pinocchio met a boy there that he easily became friends with named Lampwick. Determined to please his new friend, Pinocchio would follow him into chopping wooden furniture, playing poker, smoking, drinking beer, and playing pool. Pleasure Island didn't turn out to be what Pinocchio expected, however, when he had the traumatic experience of watching his best friend turn into a donkey, causing Pinocchio to cease bad habits and to listen to Jiminy just as he grew donkey ears and a tail for being a bad boy.
When they finally escaped Pleasure Island and ran home, Pinocchio sadly found his home empty. It wasn't until The Blue Fairy brought a letter down to clue him in that his father, Cleo, and Figaro, were alive but trapped inside of a whale named Monstro. Determined to save them, Pinocchio set off to jump off a cliff and into the water with his tailed tied to a rock in order to find Monstro, with Jiminy offering to come along to help. Upon getting swallowed by Monstro, Pinocchio was happy to be reunited with his father, Cleo, and Figaro. Pinocchio then remembered how sick he got when he puffed too much smoke, as well as the way Cleo surfaced from the water after his father stuck his finger that touched the pretty fire into her bowl. If Cleo could do that, and if he could get him sick like he was with smoke, then that means Monstro could, too! Pinocchio quickly thought of the idea of filling up the fishing boat with fire and smoke in order to make Monstro sneeze. It was easily a success, causing Monstro to sneeze, though the whale wasn't too happy once he realized that there were survivors that escaped from his mouth. After frantically being chased by the monstrous whale across the water while on the raft, Pinocchio saved Gepetto from drowning, but was knocked unconscious by the rocks.
Due to Pinocchio not having a heart, it appeared to everyone that he had been dead when he helped Gepetto survive the attack. However, because he proved to be brave, truthful, and unselfish, the Blue Fairy granted the wish for Pinocchio to be a real boy. They soon celebrated with singing and dancing...
...At least until Pinocchio found himself in Walt Disney World, and he was suddenly turned back into a wooden puppet without strings!
