Walt Disney World: Magic Kingdom

"Here you leave today and enter the world yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy."

Such words couldn't be more true. In 1955, Walt Disney created Disneyland. And when it came to Disney World, Walt wanted to recreate Disneyland in the form of the Magic Kingdom. In 1971, the Magic Kingdom was the first park to open in Disney World. And although it was the only one at the time, people still flocked to it. Many years later, the Magic Kingdom still stands with new rides, shows, and services that guests can experience for themselves. Of course, it is not exactly a duplicate of Disneyland in every way possible. There is more, as some commercials once claimed.

The Magic Kingdom is separated into six distinct lands, each one having their own theme. From the jungles of Adventureland to the futuristic city of Tomorrowland, guests can indeed experience yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy. There is always something to experience at every turn. Guests can witness an amazing parade, for instance. And come night? They can witness the entire exterior of Cinderella Castle transform before their very eyes in a spectacular show. With so many things to see and do, it's no wonder why its the most popular out of the four theme parks.

Main Street USA

Walking underneath the train station, guests would find themselves in Main Street USA. Inspired by Walt's hometown, Main Street USA has all the sights and sounds of a turn-of-the-20th-century town. Shops line the sides of the street, holding countless merchandise that guests can buy before, during, or after their day in the park. There are even places for a quick snack, whether it be getting a hotdog from Casey's Corner, or enjoying a scoop of ice cream from the Ice Cream Parlor. Guests can even smell the delicious scents of the local bakery, further enticing them to buy something sweet.

Though the main thing guests would see, is Cinderella's Castle. Named after the castle seen in Cinderella, this castle is the center point for the entire park. No matter where you are, you can see the castle looming in the distance. With the famous Partners statue in front of it, the front plaza provides access to the rest of the lands. Adventureland to the west, Fantasyland to the north through the castle, and Tomorrowland to the east.

Walt Disney World Railroad

At the park entrance, lies the Walt Disney World Railroad. Inspired by the railroad system in Disneyland, guests can board a steam train for a trip around the Magic Kingdom, with stops at Frontierland and Fantasyland. It's a good way to get around the park, if people don't mind waiting a bit for their train to reach their destination. And you might just see some things along the way.

Festival of Fantasy Parade

At a certain point in the day, the Magic Kingdom hosts their Festival of Fantasy Parade. This parade features characters from various Disney movies, and floats that would bring awe to those watching. Guests would even see a mechanical dragon, spewing flames and roaring. This is a must see for any guests, though it's recommended that you find a spot to see it before the show starts, as the sidewalks can get crowded.
