Character basics
Character name: Namaari
Age: 18
Species: Human
Birthplace: Kumandra, the Palace of Fang
Movie: Raya and the Last Dragon
Custom title: Princess of Fang
Character appearance (try to get at least 2 or 3 sentences for each section)
Hair description: Namaari's hair is black and sleek. She wears it in the traditional style of Fang's royals, namely caught up in tiny, tight braids on one side, hanging straight to the line of her chin on the other. This style sacrifices beauty and practicality to custom, for it partially obscures her vision on the right side by hanging continually in her face. Years of rigorous training enable Namaari to keep her hair under strict control so it does not interfere with battle.
Facial description/mood/expressions: Namaari's face is sharp and angular; her expression is usually hard, even stern. She tries very hard not to allow any softer emotions to show, though she never denies herself a smile of triumph.
Clothing style: When it comes to clothing, Namaari favors the practical and comfortable. Her outfits are suitable for combat while adhering to all the traditions of Fang culture. She is always scrupulously neat in her dress, as befits a princess.
Body build: A tall girl, Namaari is always in fighting shape: slim, but strong. She works out rigorously to keep her body at its peak.

Original character analysis (In your own words and please be thorough)
Personality:
From her earliest years, Namaari has been schooled in the ways of the warrior. She is thus extremely disciplined, able to endure hardships well, and capable of both giving and taking orders. As a commander, she demands the strictest obedience, and she gives the same to her queen. Whenever she has doubts, she fights to repress them, thus remaining the perfect soldier and the perfect daughter.
Namaari is a relentless enemy: implacable and unbending. She understands the value of psychological tactics and will delight in adding taunts to her formidable weapons and fists. You don't want to get on her bad side.
Trust is very difficult for Namaari, even with those she likes or admires. If you weren't born in Fang, you'll have to prove yourself trustworthy, perhaps many times over. And even then...maybe because she herself is not trustworthy outside of Fang. Believing that the end justifies the means, Namaari will deceive or betray others without guilt, as long as her cause is good.
Namaari is devoted to her mother, her country, and her people, in that order. Even now, in a time of newly-found peace, she still puts Fang first and will always act in her country's best interests.
History:
Born into the royal, ruling family of Fang shaped every aspect of Namaari's life. Her father died while she was hardly more than an infant, bringing her even closer to her surviving parent. Queen Virana spent every moment molding the girl into the perfect warrior princess, and Namaari willingly obeyed, believing that the future of Fang rested squarely on her.
Growing up, she had little time for frivolities like games or friends, anything that distracted from her duty. She sometimes longed to be like other girls who had time to simply be children, but Namaari used her willpower to bury those desires. Her one leisure pursuit was a love of dragon lore, a hobby she kept mostly to herself, as her mother thought it frivolous.
When the little princess was twelve, an invitation came from the neighboring kingdom of Heart. Queen Virana saw the friendly overture as an opportunity to secure the Dragon Gem for Fang and devised a plan to steal it. Namaari played a key role in the plan: she was to befriend Princess Raya of Heart and get her to show the way to the Gem Chamber. Namaari had qualms at first, reluctant to betray anything so rare as a friendship, but Virana, as always, easily convinced the girl that the end justified the means, as long as the end meant prosperity for Fang.
Namaari performed brilliantly, gaining Raya's confidence and then signaling Fang's troops to steal the Dragon Gem. All would've gone well for Fang had not the other nations, Tail, Spine, and Talon interfered. The result was a Gem broken in five pieces, each nation claiming a fragment. And the release of the ancient curse of the Druun.
Queen Virana laid all the blame for the Druun plague on the other nations, and Namaari believed her, justifying her part in the disaster as necessary and right. Even as the world descended into chaos, Fang survived with minimal loss, thanks to a clever use of canals to protect from the Druun, so Namaari was not bothered by any qualms of conscious.
When Namaari discovered that Raya, her Heart counterpart, had stolen an old parchment from Fang, the Fang princess tracked her down relentlessly. Never mind that the crime was a minor one; Raya must pay dearly for her audacity. The more times Raya eluded her, the more angry Namaari grew.
When Raya made a move toward reconciliation, Namaari used it for another deception, pretending to soften in order to steal Raya's Gem pieces. The only thing that could move her was the appearance of Sisu, the last of the dragons believed to be long dead. Namaari hesitated, doubting for the first time the rightness of her choices. Would she have joined Raya in her quest? Defied her mother? Trusted someone outside of Fang? No one will ever know. She and Raya clashed, resulting in the death of Sisu and the destruction of Fang by the Druun.
At last, when there was no hope left, Namaari finally put aside her own interests for the good of all, reassembling the Dragon Gem, and leaving herself vulnerable for the first time in her life. The selfless actions of herself and Raya's group restored the Gem and all the world's Dragons, defeating the Druun and saving the world.
Everything was still not sweetness and light for Namaari, however. Although her mother was restored to her and Fang was no longer in danger, it lay in ruins, while Namaari herself was filled with doubt and uncertainty about her own motives and beliefs. Before she could begin to sort it all out, she found herself in a strange new world...
