Antonio rushed down the halls of his family Casita, eager to get to the person who'd called for him and use his gift to help the family! One good thing with his gift was that whenever an animal was sick he could ask directly what the problem was. There were only so many pets in the family, but he was determined to not let any of them slip through the cracks no matter how many also lived in his room with him. Antonio didn't have any healing powers for after that, but maybe his Tía Julieta could take over from there, once he 'isolated the problem' as the adults would say.
The boy was used to the house shifting around him as needed, so didn't pay too much attention as his surroundings shifted...until he went through what he thought was the doorway he needed and saw a foliage instead.
Huh? Glancing up he saw more trees.
Uh oh, had something gone wrong again?
"Casita?", he questioned, turning a circle. His jaguar companion (Parce) nudged him onto his back and gave a low growl of reassurance. Antonio was relieved to still be able to understand him! The cabybara came on the other side and toucan landed on his head. Not much different there, they were always around.
"Where are we?", Antonio wondered aloud, glancing around again. He spotted a path not too far away and slipping off of Parce, walked forward and to it. "Hello...?", he glanced left and right, as if before crossing a street before stepping onto the path and following it. He was starting to get more and more nervous, though, even with his animal friends trailing along at his sides.
Thankfully he still had his stuffed jaguar too and brought that out, giving it a hug before continuing to walk down the path. He heard more animals in the distance, maybe they would also know what was going on?
Yet he would take people too! "Hello?", he tried again, to any and all. "Pico, flap ahead and see what you can find", Antonio told his toucan. The bird took off a little ways ahead.
